"My husband, teenage son and I stayed at Gordon's cozy condo for six days in June 2015. If you want a quiet, clean space of your own, this is the place for you, keeping in mind that this is Mexico and the standard of living is not exactly the same as it is in the States. If you've lived/visited/worked in the Caribbean before, this condo will be very comfortable for you, especially if you want to get away from the resort crowds. It has most of the amenities you would need to be comfortable, especially the central A/C in the bedrooms and living room. It is very, very hot and humid in the Yucatan Peninsula. Claudine, Gordon's expat manager, is a sweet woman who replaced a broken coffee maker for us immediately. She was most welcoming and provided support when we needed it. The all-inclusive access to The Reef Resort was essential, although the public beaches are nice, too. Chac Ha is right across the street, and the walk into town provides you with a great workout into downtown. Taxis are cheap if you'd rather ride. Give the drivers a decent tip. They work hard. We recommend the "Ice" travel agency (on the right right as you step into town), and Sr. Francisco/Srta. Francisca provided us with a great excursion to Chichen Itza for a reasonable price. Advice: Find a good convenience store to buy laundry detergent, creamer, coffee, etc. Respect Gordon's rules, and you should be fine. Gordon's condo is very clean, and we did not experience any trouble. The pool is large, clean and a must after a long day at the beach. We had just a wonderful, wonderful time. Thanks, Gordon, for sharing your beautiful home with us."
