"Good stay once things settled down, would suggest some new unstained sheets, or the manager should have authorization to replace damaged and stained sheets. The bed experience was rather disgusting! Kitchen could use some updated and better dishes, frying pans, all old and damaged. A kettle might be nice. Condo was very nice, clean and more than adequate, good furniture and comfortable, tastefully decorated. However, in order to use the hot tub on the roof, I had to clean the mortar out from recent repairs. But its clean now. There was no dryer or anything to hang clothes on to dry, so that was a little difficult. I was told we had weekly cleaning, but in 5 weeks the cleaners came in once the walk to the beach is more like 5 blocks, not 3, but not bad. The pool area and amenities are very very nice, wonderful helpful, friendly staff and everything is well maintained and very clean. Rather noisy at times in the night. All in all a good experience, just needs attention to a few details, mostly the sheets. ."

  • Outstanding week!

"My wife and I have been vacationing in Playa at least once a year for eight years now. We started with AIs, moved on to boutique hotels and had been very happy at Playa Maya (down the beach from El Faro) for four years now. They are, however being renovated so we couldn't get in there this year - what a blessing in disguise. We found a few condos here on VRBO and all three of the couples in the group ranked Lorelie's as our #1 choice. After a couple helpful emails we booked it and couldn't wait for our trip. After a quick tour of the condo by the mgmt company we were officially on vacation! The condo was cleaned daily, linens changed once during the week, kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need. The condo itself is spacious, well decorated and beautiful. We spent a lot of time at night on the patio listening to the ocean and unfortunately the rain. It did rain every day we were there thanks to a slow moving tropical depression which would have made the trip much worse had we not been in the condo. I was off diving every day so the rain didn't bother me as much but for the non divers it was great to have the big living room area and patio to hang out between showers. The pool and beach were great, as were the massages next to the pool! Wickie's is unfortunately gone but with all the great places to eat near there, Zenzi right across 10th and the coolers in the room we never were wanting for pool/beach refreshment. (Take advantage of the 10% Zenzi discount cards from the front desk). We couldn't have asked for anything more and look forward to this being the new spot we stay on our annual trips!"

  • Very Beautiful Villa!

"The villa is even more beautiful than the pictures portray. SUPER clean and spacious with excellent cleaning service throughout the week. Wonderful owners, always replied promptly to any questions and offered a lot of help with activities in the area. The neighbours were very welcoming and helpful and you never felt like a stranger. So much hospitality in their community of home owners! Was great to make meals when we wanted to or eat out at the large variety of restaurants nearby (try the beef from Super Carnes called Arrachera Nacional, incredible and an easy walk from the villa down to 1 Calle South and 20th Ave.) The kitchen has everything you will need to prepare meals and there were condiments to use which was nice to not have to buy much of that. We just replaced anything we used up. Felt very safe in Playacar and out on 5th Avenue which is about a 10-15 minute walk to the start. Good distance to the Mega grocery store and we walked there if we only wanted a few items otherwise took a taxi. Great to laze around the villa on the deck or in the pool, or go on an excursion. Xel-Ha was our favourite day trip, Tulum and Coba were amazing too. Lots of activities for a variety of age groups. The air conditioning was nice after a day in the hot sun. Overall a wonderful home away from home with the bonus of sun and beaches!"

  • Perfect location

"This is the 2nd year we have stayed in this condo at El Faro and we love it. The location is perfect and the condo is very clean and comfortable! The owners make sure you have everything you need for a great vacation! Everything you could want is in walking distance. Shopping, great bars and restaurants and beautiful white sand beaches."
