  • Casa del Sol is Amazing! It was truly a paradise vacation for us!

"Just got home from spending 2 weeks at Casa del Sol. I can truly say it was our best vacation ever! I cant say enough good things about the house, private beach palapa and caretaker Jack! He took care of our every need. He booked us gold at half the regular rate and also got us new Ping clubs. He set up massages for our wives on the roof top terrace. He booked us a chef for a couple nights and recommended all the good place to go eat and visit. He was the best! My wife usually doesn't go in the pool because she doesn't like cold water. This pool was heated so she used it every day. We were very impressed with all the amenities this house had. We have rented homes in Mexico before and never had things like wireless internet, telephone, American satalite TV and especially reverse osmosis water. Rosa the maid was very friendly and did a great job cleaning up after us. The house had tons of beach towels and even some beach toys for our kids. We rented the Durango which was a great deal. We were going to rent one at the airport but it would have been double the price. Some local kids were diving out in front of the beach and brought in several lobsters. We bought 4 of them right on the beach for 200 pesos then grilled them that night. It was amazing! The private beach lot with private palapa was the cats meow! We felt like kings and queens sitting there on the beach under our own private palapa. There were even chairs there that we took half way into the water and just hung out. It was paradise. I cant say enough good things about this vacation. I would recommend it to family's like ours. Dads played golf, wives got massages and hung at the pool and beach and our kids loved everything. We will be coming back next year and hopefully for many years to come. Feel free to contact me if you are looking for a recommendation!"

  • Beautiful, spacious - just a tad loud

"I've stayed in this condo twice, and I've stayed in another one at Ixchel. I love this place. The layout is different than most units there, and I prefer it. It feels more spacious and open. The current owners have updated the art, furniture, and ceiling fans. It's really luxurious. The beds are so comfortable tht I always look forward to the good nights' sleep here. Other units sell their panoramic view, but this views is very lovely, too. The condo is priced a little less than other units because of it, and that makes it a great value. Also, because this condo is at the top of the stairs from the lobby, you never have to wait on the elevator or make much of a schlep from the beach back to the room. My only complaints are that wi-fi kicks you off quite often (I must have logged in 20 times a day, no joke) and the building is quite noisy. Thumps and bangs echo throughout it. I heard them late at night and early in the morning. I'm pretty sensitive to noise, and it didn't bother me too much, but if the place is full (and the unit above you occupied), you'll know. It's hard to find a place this nice on North Beach, trust me!"

  • Perfect Getaway for a couple!!

"We were looking for the perfect peaceful getaway and found it with the Margaritaville Beach House. The view was breathtaking. We felt like we had our own private beach. We loved and appreciated the fact that the house was away from the tourist area but close enough to discover some of the island's local treasures. The house had all of the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The private courtyard garden were well maintained and beautiful. The house was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We would highly recommend this house to any couple looking to find some much needed rest and relaxation. We found a diamond in the ruff with the SOGGY PESO... a local bar that is a mix of a comfortable cheers bar and an island paradise. We suggest to go on a Sunday for one of the best Bloody Mary's and the Rib and Chicken Special. It was delicious!!!"

  • NWH, North Carolina, USA

"It is billed as "formerly owned by the Grateful Dead". That may be a strong draw for some, but strongest draw for me is that it is presently enjoyed by those who are grateful to be living!! Loads of character, amenities with soul, located on a fabulous lagoon in a very accessible small town."
