"Our family of four (2 adults, kids ages 21 & 16) just returned from almost a week in Shawn's condo. It was an awesome place to stay; the condo was furnished, comfortable and clean, plenty of bath and beach towels. The beach was very clean, very few rocks (we'd taken beach shoes-didn't need them). The location was the absolute best. We walked to 5th Avenue almost every morning and evening, we had dinner on 5th Ave most nights (check out Mi Pueblo-yumminess!). Also walked to Walmart for food, an easy walk. Shawn was great to deal with and so helpful, very quick responses to any inquiries we had. Condo management staff also accessible for a couple minor problems (swiftly resolved). Maid service was a luxury we've never had before. Condo staff was so very friendly and helpful, answering any questions we had. The only down side to the location is there is a bar close by on the beach that had music going until the wee hours, so we were not able to turn off the AC at night to listen to the sound of the surf at night (just something we love to do on beach vacations). There is also construction happening right next to the condo, but we weren't inside during the day, so it wasn't an issue for us. On the upside, the condo is very soundproof, so noise was not an issue with doors/windows closed and AC running. We used Amigo Tours to visit Xichen Itza, highly recommend them, you are in and out before the crowd and heat of the day descend upon this magnificent place. We used the transfer/shuttle company that Shawn provided information on for transport to/from the airport, it was nice to have our own van with AC in the hustle and bustle of coming and going. This was our first time to Mexico and couldn't have asked for more. We cannot recommend El Faro and Shawn's condo enough! Not sure if we'll ever make it back, but we'd stay here again without hesitation!"

"Our family spent Thanksgiving week at Casa Mariposa and had such a wonderful time. The house is stunning and the photos online depict the house very well. We were so happy with the accomodations and how nicely everything is kept. It is quite apparent that the owners take a lot of price in Casa Mariposa as the home is well maintained and the furnishings make you really feel pampered. The area is full of fun things to do. We all loved our morning dip in the pool that was larger than I was thinking and the fresh squeezed orange juice we had for the special breakfasts that were cooked for us each morning. We chose to have the Chef services for all but 2 nights of our stay and was one of our best decisions. The food is fine dining quality and the price is much better than going to a restaurant especially if you want to have a drink or wine. The spectacular view of the water is breath taking. We all spent time by the pool and enjoying our surroundings. It was so nice that the bedrooms were so large, everyone had enough space and more. Melodie is exceptional. She helped us make arrangements and answered our questions timely. We can't wait to go back to Casa Mariposa, next time for a longer stay than a week."

"We had never been to Mexico before and were a little nervous about everything. I am very glad we found this condo. The whole experience made this part of the trip run smoothly. Dalen did a great job of answering my questions ahead of time and Maria and Patricia were great during our stay. I called to let them know we were boarding the ado bus at the airport and were met at the condo when we arrived there. The included cellphones were useful for calling restaurants and arranging activities.
The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well(my biggest two concerns). Although we didn't cook we bought some breakfast and snack foods at walmart (and aloe vera for sunburns) and ate in when starting our day early. There is probably 100 restaurants within a 15 minute walk and we never ate at the same place twice. Everywhere we ate was great.
We had our laundry done for 61 pesos around the corner which was awesome so we didn't have to pack as much. We took the collectivos to Tulum, Akumal, Xel-ha and Xcaret and had an absolute blast. On the days when we didn't plan a trip the kids watched movies or played in the pool during the heat of the midday and then we would head down to the main playa beach around 4pm and we would have some drinks on the beach while the kids boogie boarded in the surf.
We are looking forward to coming back to Playa and this condo and doing all the other great activities that we ran out of time for!"

"Could not have been more pleased with house. Extremely clean, comfortable, nice location, great price. View was everything. Outside stairs to rooftop slightly tricky but still easy, but well worth it when you get to the top !! Place next door was absolutely wonderful, breakfast every morning and happy hour in the afternoon, Casa De Los Suenos is a great plus. Including the staff are helpful. Isla mujeres is the place to go. Can't wait to return. Thank you ,Bill."
