"My husband, my two young daughters (ages 7 and 3) and I stayed for a week at this wonderful condo. We loved Tulum and all there is to see around the area. As others have mention, you feel very safe staying at this villa. It has everything you need - easy parking, beautiful and quiet pool, beach and bath towels, washer and dryer, well equipped kitchen, sand and pool toys, reliable Wifi... We had a rental car and were glad we did as it is a bit of a walk or bike ride into town and quite a bit farther to get to the beach. It was not a big deal at all to drive and park in town or the beach area but just a heads up!"

"Three of us stayed here for six days. What a wonderful place! The location is fantastic, quiet, but close to Puerto Morelos, and Playa Del Carmen. The walk to the beach is short, and we often had the beach to ourselves. The house is well equipped, very nicely decorated, bright and airy. We never wanted for anything. Hilberto was a fantastic help, he brought water and checked in nearly every day. He was friendly and taught us some spanish, and learned some english from us. The grounds were very well kept and lovely, with a nice pool, outdoor shower, and barbeque area. Every day and night we spent time on the rooftop patio overlooking the jungle. We did have a car, which was necessary and allowed us to explore at our leisure. We hope to return to this place in the future. I can't say enough good things about the place or our stay."

"Our stay at Casa Caribe was relaxing/peaceful; house has all the advertised features plus some. Christina is a doll, and took awesome care of us, including special requests & dinner (a 'must-do'...do early in the week for leftovers). She communicated with us in spite of our broken Spanish.
Didn't see/notice Luis; didn't see Rhett until part way thru week; didn't matter as house was ready and set for us. House has everything you need for the stay; nothing else we felt we needed. Owner and Christina were very responsive to requests (extra towels, etc.), and owner responded promptly to any questions. The pool was perfect for cool-off dips, especially since it was toasty warm during our stay (AC required for a comfy night's sleep). House is spacious, and we never felt crowded with 6 of us. Main floor bedrooms are good size (limited closet space in one) and each has attached bath (one with second door to hallway for convenience). The upstairs master is amazing, with a large tub, gorgeous deck and ocean views from bedroom and shower. Television area was comfy (used mainly for slide shows of pics taken; TV has extra HDMI connection) with TV being a bit small (~25 or 32 inch). The Wi-Fi worked fine during our stay.
Location is easy walk to La Buena Vida (restaurant/entry spot for snorkeling in half-moon bay [HMB]) and reasonable walk to Akumal & bay. Elderly folks (~80) with us, so needed car shuttle for those journeys with them.
We snorkeled at HMB, Yal-ku and with turtles at Akumal bay...all were great. Yal-ku charges $14 if you enter through land (free via long snorkel from HMB). Most literature at house regarding sites, etc. is a bit outdated - prices have gone up, and some places changed or gone. Update would be good for future visitors.
Ocean behind house was too rough to enter directly for snorkeling; not sure if ever calm enough due to the rocks (tempting tho). Not an issue with Buena Vida and HMB beach only a 5 minute walk away.
Location was excellent base for visits to Mayan Ruins and Cenotes. Definitely recommend rental car if sightseeing. Also recommend visit to Akumal Pueblo across highway for authentic Mexican flavor w/ variety of restaurants/food vendors for the adventurous. Grocery shop at Playa & convert some $ to pesos. Local exchange rates highly variable and no credit cards for gas.
Overall, I would love to return to Akumal, and would not hesitate to stay at Casa Caribe again."

"We enjoyed every minute we spend in this beautiful home. It truly was paradise to spend time in the rooftop pool with such amazing views. The attention to detail is well noted when you wake up refreshed from sleeping on such comfortable beds. We walked the beach each morning, and spent time exploring the area through the day. Plenty to do for our family of 7 (ages 17-49) in the Playa Del Carmen area. We visited a Mayan Village, toured a cenote, went snorkeling, zip lining, rappelling and rode 4 wheelers. This house, this location is simply magical."
