Best Family Vacation Ever (part one)
"I had looked for so long to find a vacation rental that met all of our family needs and this one did! I have two teenage boys, adult daughter, and husband that went on this trip. My daughter and I had traveled before many times internationally, but my husband and boys had not. This was their first experience. Of course, they wanted to stay in a luxury resort that was all inclusive. I said no way to that! I wanted their first experience to be as authentic as possible. However, I also wanted it safe. This quaint little fishing village was perfect! The condo had plenty of room for the five of us, but to be quite honest we did not spend much time in it. With having teens, we needed to remain active, but also have a place to relax and get away from the busy noise of a city/resort area. Believe me when I say that this condo was perfect. At night we could hear the waves crashing into the shoreline and no windows were open! All of the guests/owners that were there were very respectful and quiet (exactly what I wanted!) I will say that we really wanted to play more on the beach while we were there but the seaweed (freak of nature that we heard happens very rarely) made it difficult. In actuality, this was a blessing. It forced us to explore the village and participate in many activities that we would never have a chance to do in Indiana. The only way this could have happened was because of Carlos Russ. He helps manage this condo for the Harts. If it weren't for Carlos I would not have felt so safe in doing everything we did. He contacted me BEFORE our trip three times via email and telephone to confirm flights, food arrangements, fishing trip, and much more. We had a delayed flight and he made sure to have our transportation wait for us. Once we arrived, he welcomed us at the security gate and showed us around. He explained the remote control for the television and air condition, stove and oven, washer and dryer, pool rules and amenities, and check-out/departing instructions. He wrote everything down for us from the taxi telephone number to specifics on what to bring on our excursions to local restaurants. He cut down on the time it would have taken us to look this up or for us to ask others. I do not think I have ever been to any resort/hotel/hostel etc. that I had so much guidance and help in completing so many things. We truly were able to enjoy every last minute of our vacation because he did so much of the preparation ahead of time for us"

"Best couple vaction ever!!!! Four adult couples the accommodations were perfect and incredible!! Angie was the best host imaginable. What ever we needed she took care of. We had them prepare dinner for us upon arrival and it was the best. They stayed with us and hung out until we were settled in. The house was phenominal. The best equiped house we have ever stayed in. The owners were absolutely amazing to work with. There recommendations for restaurants were spot on. We rented bikes in town and
it the best decision for convenience and fun. The town was filled with the friendliest people everywhere we went When they say the " Mayberry of Mexico" they are not kidding at all. We could not have been more please with our trip. Top notch."

Fantastic Location, Responsive Management, Just a few Glitches
"The previous reviews pretty much cover the many good aspects about Casita Blanca condos, unit A5 and its owner. The complex's buildings, grounds, pool and beach areas were all well maintained. We found it an easy walk (about 8 Mexican blocks) down a sandy beach to PM's town square where most restaurants, shops, ATMs, money exchange, etc are located. Also a local grocery store, Super Casa Martin, where you can purchase about all your food and drink needs. The property manager Roberto while kept very busy maintaining the complex; was always friendly and responded to any issues in a timely manner.
The condos are individually owned so the décor, amenities, updates, etc. can vary widely depending upon which unit you rent. I recommend a 3rd floor unit for the best views of the beach during the day and for moonlight shimmering on the ocean at night. The ground floor units view of the shoreline are blocked by a hedge along the property's front and the coconut trees have grown to the height where some 2nd floor balcony views may be partially blocked by their palms. Our 3rd floor condo had spectacular views as shown in the photos. The unit was adequately furnished and housekeeping came thru about every other day or so to clean. Roberto and his crew were swapping out our water heater when we arrived; after a couple tries we had muy caliente agua (alotta hot water). The rest of the appliances and utilities worked fine. The WiFi worked best out on the balcony. The safe in the back smaller bedroom with the double bed works fine if you follow Roberto's instructions. There is no real 'wall' between the bedrooms, just a large sliding wood-paneled door. We're a well-traveled crew, so this was not a privacy issue for us. Both bedrooms only have sheers for curtains. So if you get the king-sized bedroom with east ocean-facing windows; plan on being an early-riser as you awaken to the brilliant morning sunrises illuminating the room. We did not find out until after we arrived that while A5 had a large HD TV, there was no satellite/cable/local TV reception? Which pretty much made our decision to watch the Superbowl at a local cantina vs in our condo. Which while more expensive, was mas fun. Another slight glitch, the knob on our dead bolt broke off? Luckily we'd packed a of pair of needle nose pliers with us so we could grab and slide the bolt open to avoid the quandary of being locked in a 3rd floor condo. We info'd Roberto about it. He said Don't use it. Wise advice."

"This Condo is one of a 18 unit condo, we have stayed in Casita Blanca before, but in one of the other 2 building that was in front of the pool. This condo is special in that it is to the far left of the complex, or if you are on the extremely white, powder sugar beach it is on the far right. This is very nice feature, as you still have the ocean view but are away from the pool activity of the other guests, so you can have peace and quiet, and if you want to join in the pool fun there are plenty of thatched umbrellas, and lots of sun beds. The condo also has a private side patio, completely hidden from other eyes, so you can sun bake, 100% a-natural and you also have a lawn area that is sunny in the morning and shaded in the after noon to park your sunbeds on. Only a 2 minute walk from condo to the ocean, i was going to say surf line, however being on the inside of the barrier reef the highest wave, or ripple is knee high. Puerto Morelos is special in that it has remained a small fishing village. The condo has been remodeled and has lovely granite countertops, which the other units do not have, they are more basic tile, I also liked the fact that it is on the ground floor, so no stari climbing. I am defineately returning."
