Simply the best!!
"We rented Villa Mango for a 2 week period from December 27, 2014 to January 10, 2015. The first week was shared with my brother and his family - we were a total of 8. Never did we feel crowded - everyone had their own space. The house is just so big and well laid out. The second week was just our family of 3. My husband and I had seen this home on previous vacations in the area and marveled at its beauty. Never did we imagine it would one day be our home for 2 weeks, and what a fabulous home it was!! Very quiet, safe area within 20 minutes walk from the village either by the beach or road - we did not have a car. The home is exquisite and everything has been thought of. All the appliances and drawers are very well labelled making it easy to use everything. We only ate at restaurants about 5 times during the two-week period -it was just too comfortable at home. Lucy was a joy to deal with as we prepared for our trip. Angie and Ale were so helpful, both in preparation for our trip and during our stay. We truly appreciated all their help and especially doing our grocery and stocking the fridge for a small fee. Miriam does a great job keeping the place clean. Would love to go back some day and have no hesitation recommending to anyone wanting to get away from the resort life - this is so much better!! Some of the restaurants we enjoyed include El Merkadito, El Sabor de Mexico, El Pesquero. Fish at the co-op is out of this world. Paco at the main dock for snorkeling runs a good business. Violeta's massage tent on the beach is so worth it - I went 3 times during the 2 weeks. This is such a beautiful, laid back village with everything you need to make your stay a real vacation. Our best holiday ever!! Thanks again Lucy for sharing your beautiful home Nicole and Lucien"

"It was not easy to leave the beautiful Casa Marcella this morning! So interesting to be adjacent to the H10 all inclusive for the week, reinforcing why a stay at Casa Marcella provides a truly authentic experience. Bruno could not have been more accommodating to our group of 12, he and his staff were polite and considerate. Bruno arranged for a masseuse to arrive most late afternoons (on the rooftop), and coordinated a great zip-lining trip. We elected to use Bruno's chef, and each meal was better than the next. (They even waited at the fishing pier for 2 hours one afternoon for first pick of fresh lobsters from the incoming boats). The pool and grounds were very well maintained, and the fresh ocean breezes passed through the house from start to finish. I do recommend a car, it is very easy to get around as everything is up and down A307, and the charming town of Puerto Morales is about 10-15 min away. We would highly recommend a stay at Casa Marcella, and hope to return in the future."

"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Casa South Breeze for the last week of April. What an amazing place! The home is situated with a stunning view of the Caribbean, and the grounds are lush, with a wide variety of local tropical plants and trees, beautifully kept. The pool area is on the ocean side which allows you to lounge around on the comfortable furniture and hammocks and still have the view and sounds of the ocean. For swimming there is a great little beach bunker carved out of white sand and beach. We saw quite a few long distance swimmers taking advantage of the warm gentle waters. The inside of the house turns into your home away from home pretty quick. We used the open air, screened dining area not only for dining but also for grilling, gathering, cocktails, and for messing around with our computers in the morning. The internet signal was good, no problems. The main level also has a nice living room, TV area, and kitchen with all you need to cook anything. The master suite is also located on the main floor. All nicely furnished and decorated. My husband and I stayed in one of the upstairs bedrooms with a very private big balcony. The sounds of the ocean and swaying palms is really nice. The care taker Félix attended to all things house and home that we needed but also has great respect for quiet privacy. A perfect situation. But truly one of my favorite things about Casa South Breeze (above other places I've stayed in Puerto Morelos) is the ability to walk to town on the beach. It's an easy walk and you pass by several beach bars, restaurants and beautiful beach."

"It's all true- all the good things in the reviews. I have to add to the praise even though we are already having trouble booking the house for the future, LOL, it's already quite popular!
So, we arrived on Easter Sunday. Knowing what a huge holiday it is in Mexico, we were nervous about crowds and so on for the week after Easter. We knew we didn't want to stay in Cancun or Playa del Carmen, but had no idea what to expect in Puerto Morelos. We got to the house around dinnertime and there were some families on the beach playing volleyball and enjoying some food and drink. The driver said "It's very crowded because Sunday is a popular beach day for Mexican families and it's Easter." I looked at the beach and let out a sigh of relief. If that was crowded, we were going to be very happy the rest of the week. And, we were.
So...the house: It truly has the best location! It's a bit more of a walk to town than we cared to do more than once or twice a day but we enjoyed it and it was a good tradeoff to have a section of beach that was largely empty. The street was not busy and we never felt unsafe, even at night. A cab would be at your service within a few minutes of calling when you didn't want to walk and was cheap. NO problem.
The house is as described and seen in the pics- perfect place to be able to be on the sand in a few steps. The shared pool was a great place to cool off and the kids loved it. My 8 year old could stand in all areas of the pool, so no diving or slides, but fun for them to play and great for relaxing.
The kitchen was GREAT and well-stocked with very nice appliances and a gas stove. We went to the grocery near the square the evenings before and got supplies for breakfasts at "home". We also had the nice maintenance man cut down some coconuts for us (tipped him to show our appreciation, of course), found some straws and stuck them in and had chilled, fresh coconut water in the mornings too! The air conditioning units worked well and we'd use them to cool the place down after the walk back from town. After the house cooled, you didn't need to keep them on (usually). The internet was spotty when we were there, through no fault of the home owners (it was a problem with the company, it seems). When it was working, it was zippy and useful. Cell service was excellent so buying a data plan was a great decision. The beds were all comfy- even my very picky husband was pleased. The kids loved the bunks and each bedroom had a bathroom- SO nice!"
