  • Perfect for us!

"Simple, beautiful, and had all necessary functionality. This place is a great place to base out of and really worked well for us, very safe, clean and provides easy access to the beach. We cooked meals about 50% of the time and ate elsewhere the rest. The walk is not bad either on the beach or road, no car was necessary as the taxis can be found with ease. We did a guided trip to Tulum, Coba and Cenotes, highly recommend going to Paco at Seven Days Snorkeling for setting up any trips as he will get you a very fair price with minimal negotiations. Be sure to ask him to arrange any of the sight seeing trips with guide and driver in a Suburban if your group is small enough because they can do it for the same price and it's just your group instead of being mixed in with a group. I could go on and on about our trip, fished two days with Alex on King Mackerel (Paco setup) and it was great times with 7 tries day one and 3 on day two. We only landed one Barracuda but we had chances. Overall, lovely time in a very nice place. Thank you for sharing."

  • oceanfront, quiet, privacy with views

"Our family of five stayed at Casita Kiara 8 nights over spring break. We loved the spacious, corner, second-floor unit for the light, breezes, and beautiful ocean and pool views. The unit's private deck has a couple adjacent palms that provide some shade when needed as well--but still allow that beautiful view of the water and sand--we enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails there. Our kids enjoyed the shallow pool and ocean waters which are gentle and safe for children in Puerto Morelos. Plenty of pool and beach lounge-chairs at this complex--never felt crowded, even at spring break/Easter. A very relaxing and peaceful location with easy access to restaurants and shopping in town. You can walk down the beach a few hundred feet to enjoy a cocktail or meal at a fun but low-key beach bar with swings, loungers, and palapa umbrellas (Unico). Can't beat the accessibility to tours of the Great Maya Reef just offshore. Many sightseeing options along the Mayan Riviera within driving distance as well."

  • Fantastic Location, Responsive Management, Just a few Glitches

"The previous reviews pretty much cover the many good aspects about Casita Blanca condos, unit A5 and its owner. The complex's buildings, grounds, pool and beach areas were all well maintained. We found it an easy walk (about 8 Mexican blocks) down a sandy beach to PM's town square where most restaurants, shops, ATMs, money exchange, etc are located. Also a local grocery store, Super Casa Martin, where you can purchase about all your food and drink needs. The property manager Roberto while kept very busy maintaining the complex; was always friendly and responded to any issues in a timely manner. The condos are individually owned so the décor, amenities, updates, etc. can vary widely depending upon which unit you rent. I recommend a 3rd floor unit for the best views of the beach during the day and for moonlight shimmering on the ocean at night. The ground floor units view of the shoreline are blocked by a hedge along the property's front and the coconut trees have grown to the height where some 2nd floor balcony views may be partially blocked by their palms. Our 3rd floor condo had spectacular views as shown in the photos. The unit was adequately furnished and housekeeping came thru about every other day or so to clean. Roberto and his crew were swapping out our water heater when we arrived; after a couple tries we had muy caliente agua (alotta hot water). The rest of the appliances and utilities worked fine. The WiFi worked best out on the balcony. The safe in the back smaller bedroom with the double bed works fine if you follow Roberto's instructions. There is no real 'wall' between the bedrooms, just a large sliding wood-paneled door. We're a well-traveled crew, so this was not a privacy issue for us. Both bedrooms only have sheers for curtains. So if you get the king-sized bedroom with east ocean-facing windows; plan on being an early-riser as you awaken to the brilliant morning sunrises illuminating the room. We did not find out until after we arrived that while A5 had a large HD TV, there was no satellite/cable/local TV reception? Which pretty much made our decision to watch the Superbowl at a local cantina vs in our condo. Which while more expensive, was mas fun. Another slight glitch, the knob on our dead bolt broke off? Luckily we'd packed a of pair of needle nose pliers with us so we could grab and slide the bolt open to avoid the quandary of being locked in a 3rd floor condo. We info'd Roberto about it. He said Don't use it. Wise advice."
