  • Relaxing 2 Week Vacation

"A great alternative to resort vacations. Pool 15 steps from patio gate, beach a 3 minute walk, beach chairs and umbrella, bikes to ride around the area, 7 minute walk to the center of Pueto Morelos, a vey safe location. We rented a car however took it back as it was not needed. We also experienced a different eating place each day with a variety of foods. El Nichos, next to the bookstore on the south side of the central square was great for an early breakfast and Cantina Abenaro (sp) great for a cold mineral lemonade an hamburger or BLT (American Food). Susy, the property manager is excellent from her orientation of the condo to arranging our transportation to the airport. A definite yes to recommend this vacation rental property."

  • Fabulous family holiday in a wonderful location

"We stayed at Casa Martia for 2 weeks in July/August 2014 and had the most wonderful time there. The listing on the website is completely accurate in terms of what to expect in the house, and the location/setting was even more beautiful than we had hoped for. The property was clean and well maintained, and the caretaker, Don José, does an excellent and unobtrusive job of making sure everything is tidied away outside at night, and reminding me to lock the car (!). The owners provided excellent information before we finally booked, replying patiently to all my detailed questions. The house is located midway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, which for us was an ideal location, i.e. close enough to take advantage of all that these two towns offer, but quiet enough to feel like we were off the beaten track. We had brunch nearly every day in nearby Puerto Morelos (10 mins drive), at La Pangea where the see breeze keeps you cool as you tuck into the best steak burrito ever. We had dinner also most nights in Puerto Morelos where there are numerous very reasonably priced eateries. We also ate in Playa del Carmen a couple of times which was touristy but loads of fun, and saved our appetites for a Churrasqueria meat dinner in Cancun one evening. We visited Tulum (magic), Chichen Itza (spectacular), did an (unforgetable) beginners' dive "en famille" with the dive shop next to the house, swam in the cool fresh water Cenotes (dos Ojos was great - do the accompanied snorkel to the bat cave), and enjoyed the turquoise sea and powder white sands of Playa Delfines in Cancun. All in all, one of the best family holidays ever - would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get away from it all, and relax in a sublime setting."

  • Beautiful and quiet. Away from the mega resorts :)

"We loved it! The photos are spot-on! A well-maintained building with friendly staff, a great pool, and beautiful views. We were so happy with it. From the condo, we could take long walks down the beach to the south (there are several large resorts about a half mile down the beach; we were never envious of the people staying at the large resorts), or we could walk north, cut through a side path and reach downtown Puerto Morelos. It was only about a mile walk into town or a very quick cab ride (we did not rent a car). The town is very small compared to other nearby cities (Cancun or Playa del Carmen), but Puerto Morelos offers some outstanding restaurants, excellent snorkeling, and easy access to any nearby destinations (group tours to Mayan ruins and sites depart from town, ADO buses to major destinations are easy to use). There are some small markets in town where you can buy groceries for cooking. Not supermarkets, but enough provisions for your basic needs. The people in town were all so friendly. We even had some new friends by the end of our week. The beach in front of the condo is a bit rocky in places, but there are places with more sand if you walk a little ways. Some people were snorkeling in the water near the condo, but we went with one of the tours that depart from the town, and it was worth it! One thing to be aware of: you can't walk into town directly along the beach because there is a federal shipping dock nearby. You have to walk away from the beach and along the road for a while. Leaving the breeze of the beach made it a very hot walk in July/August, but I'm sure it's pleasant most of the year."

  • Amazing location

"Just wanted to write a quick review about our visit. We had a fantastic stay at Casita Blanca. Roberto was amazingly helpful. The view from our unit was breathtaking. The walk to town for supper in the evenings was so beatiful. We loved our stay and can not wait to visit next year."
