  • paradise

"We rented this villa for our wedding and we were not disappointed with the services offered. Quality of life in the villa is great. Each room has its own bathroom . View different rooms is beautiful. The pool is superb and the access to the beach is direct. The description corresponds to reality. Cooks meals was worthy of a 5 star restaurant . They were very caring with us , kitchen and excellent presentation and they made tasted our guests with culinary specialties from Mexico. The owner , even further, was always available and helped us in different approaches. As for Miguel and Alejandra , the guards , we have nothing to complain about. They were very discreet and efficient . To move , you can take either taxi ( cheap ) or plan activities organized but you can also stay at the villa to relax and enjoy it. In short, we do not regret our choice. For our guests and also for us, we had a dream. One day we hope to return to this paradise ."

  • Tropical Evergreens

"Tropical Evergreens was truly a paradise! Peg was excellent w resources of things to do in the area and very accommodating to our group. The Casita was set back behind the larger house, but still steps from beach. The casita was beautifully decorated with local pieces and had all we needed. The caregivers Mardi and Vicente greeted is upon arrival and we even had eggs, tortillas, juice, coffee, and breakfast food provided for the first day! Mardi helped out with any questions we had during our stay and Vicente kept the grounds pristine. The bay itself was so beautiful and peaceful. Most visitors there were families and not too many people were on the beach the entire week. No scrambling for beach chairs, etc. TE has 4 kyacks and a huge supply of life vests and snorkel vests, fins, and masks. It is truly a natural aquarium with a wide variety of fish, stingrays, and under water life. You have a choice of 2 restaurants within walking distance of Chamicos and inside Jashita Hotel. If you want a fabulous place to stay and truly RELAX, TE is the place!"

  • December 2013 Holidays at Casa Tortuga

"We enjoyed our December stay at Casa Tortuga very much and found the house to be accurately described on the website. It was clean upon our arrival. Staff [Gaby and her daughter] were attentive and helpful. Most things were in working order and any problems were quickly taken care of. Lighting throughout the house was excellent - and appreciated! Kitchen was very well supplied with cookware, utensils, dinnerware, etc. The indoor and outdoor space was great for our group of 8 [6 adults and 2 children], including the beachfront area, kayaks, palapa, hammocks, etc. Availability of drinking water throughout the house was appreciated. The information received from the owner the week before we came to the house was very useful. Breakfast was provided each day and some of us particularly liked the fresh fruit and the yogurt. Dinner was prepared twice by Gaby. Other times we prepared our dinners or ate at local restaurants. We particularly enjoyed having Christmas dinner at the beachfront restaurant a short walk from the house. Overall, Casa Tortuga is a great place to spend a week and to explore nearby places."

  • Excellent value on the beach

"My wife and I stayed at Casa Palmeras in July with two other couples, and we all had a blast! The house really over delivered for the price. The pictures really don't do it justice. It was thoughtfully appointed and delivered on everything that it said it did. It was larger than we expected from its pictures and really quite beautiful. The pool was an excellent respite, but we found that we spent most of our time on the beach and in the water of Soliman Bay. Even though there are houses on both sides, it still feels rather secluded. The private beach was amazing and the water of Soliman Bay was just perfect. The bedrooms were all very large, and the on-suites were ideal for three couples. Maria and Francisco were attentive, but not overly present. They did a great job of cleaning the house each day and making sure we had whatever we needed, even helping us light the barbeque and loaning us a machete for cutting open coconuts. We scheduled dinner with Maria the first night we got there, and were really glad that we had done so after a full day of travel. The food was delicious and provided leftovers for the next day's lunch. Located 11km north of Tulum, Casa Palmeras was an excellent base for our adventures, and was a joy to return to each evening. We were all sad to leave after seven days, and all agreed that we'd rather just move there than travel home. We had an amazing trip to the area and would absolutely stay at Casa Palmeras again. A few notes: 1) Neither Maria nor Francisco speak English. We were able to get by with a combination of rudimentary Spanglish and Google Translate (thank you wifi!!) 2) All bedrooms are upstairs. I wouldn't recommend this property to people with disabilities or older travelers. 3) The trick to lighting the barbeque is to shave a decent amount of candle wax on the coals. Combined with an interior base of paper, it'll light right up. (Thank you Francisco!!) 4) You will absolutely want a car if staying here. We had zero issues with driving or police. Pay attention to speed limits and be careful of the speed bumps. Don't drive intoxicated, and you'll be just fine. 5) Standard gratuity for staff is 10% of rental fee. Factor this into your budget. 6) Due to the constant humidity, depending on where in the country you live, your clothes may weigh much more upon your return than when you arrive."

Soliman Bay Travel Tips

Soliman Bay Vacation Rentals are Quiet Places to Lounge

If you’re looking for a quiet, uncrowded beach so you can spend your vacation tanning with no distractions, come to Soliman Bay. This small town in the Mexican Riviera is an unusual tourist spot. There will be little to no competition for space on this beautiful Caribbean beach. If you tire of sunbathing, you can spend time snorkeling or diving along the reef which fronts this beautiful bay.

Soliman Bay Villas are the Best way to Vacation

Because Soliman Bay is so small, nearly all available Soliman Bay vacation rentals are beachfront property. You don’t have to walk anywhere to get to the beach. Just step outside onto the patio of whichever of the Quintana Roo condos you rent, and the sea breezes and beautiful panoramas will sweep you off your feet. Despite the isolation of Soliman Bay, it is still just a short drive from the bay to nearby Tulum, Akumal, or Playa del Carmen, where you can go shopping or sightseeing. Tulum and Akumal are both gateways for tours to several Mayan ruins, including those at nearby Chichen Itza. Akumal also features special cave and jungle tours at the Aktun Chen caves. These caves are astounding in the number and sizes of stalactites and stalagmites.

Quintana Roo Condos are Comfortable and Spacious

There are many varieties of condos and houses available for rent in Soliman Bay. Most of them provide renters with everything needed for a great vacation. Though they cannot possibly provide everything you might want, some of them do come equipped with special amenities to make your time on the beach more enjoyable. With these amenities, or others purchases or rented locally, you can use Soliman Bay for kayaking, snorkeling, or diving, as well as for swimming and sunbathing.
