  • Amazing Tankah Family Vacation!!

"Wow! We just returned from our 2 week stay near Tulum at Casa Soleada. Our party included a 5 year old, parents, grandparents and family friends. Everyone had a wonderful time, the house was more spacious than expected and the caretakers excellent. The kitchen is big and very easy for many people to cook together. Edith also cooked some wonderful meals for us. The house is laid out wonderfully. Each bedroom feels private and the bathrooms are great. The outdoor patios, pool area, gardens, and beachfront are well designed and maintained. This was our third time in a Tankah house and we could not be happier with Casa Soleada. We will rent this property again and recommend it whole heartedly. Thanks Judy!!"

  • Perfect Vacation Villa and an Incredible Value

"Just returned from a week-plus stay and I write this review to confirm it is everything described in the listing and so much more. The Villa is certainly clean, well-maintained and the Veronique, the owner, provides guests with all the information needed to make this not only a stress free rental but offered us specific advice that allowed us to tailor our stay to our preferences. Our party was two adults and two teenagers with a preference to relax and hang out in a comfortable place. Once we stocked up on groceries at the local supermarket we found little reason to run around the Yucatan, we were already enjoying a huge property with 3 beds, 4 baths, very solid wifi, multiple hammocks, a private Palapa, a massive common area with tons of seating and loungers only steps from the white sand beach and calm waters protected by the world's second largest barrier reef. So many things are just right about this place, a few examples: the beds all face the ocean (small but important detail), massive windows for views to no end, outdoor shower for fast transitions, two sea kayaks for your unlimited and private use, outdoor gas BBQ to grill pungent food, windows in showers, tons of natural woods and stones which make the property feel tranquil and moderate the temps, lovely landscaping...the list goes on. I would recommend this property because the fact is we got excellent value and the property and effort put forth by the owner and the caretakers merit a thriving business. Just don't book it when I want to return, deal? Obviously when you book something like this from the states you naturally worry to varying degrees that something might go wrong or that you must investigate the rental in due diligence to make sure you don't arrive to find an empty lot or a locked door. The main thing I can offer you in this review is that will not happen, the place is legitimate, well-managed and its everything we wanted to enjoy a large comfortable Villa in a really interesting area."

  • 70th Birthday Celebration and Thanksgiving Week

"This was the perfect place to bring the family (9 of us, 3 were children) for Thanksgiving and to celebrate my 70th birthday. So much to do, the beach, the towns, and especially Casa Rosa. The layout is perfect --- everyone had their own space and the outdoors had plenty of shade when needed. The pool was delightful. The grandkids were in the Caribbean or pool so much they might have grown gills! Can't say enough -- everything was perfect. My wife surprised me with a band for the celebration, Maria cooked for us, Bernardino assisted and kept the place spotless. Perfect place for a family vacation!"

  • Nice week and change from the mega-resorts

"We spent a very nice week at Tres Palmeras - two families and five kids ages 6-16. The house is located on a developing stretch of land with other beach houses and a few inns/villas. The land is a bit further out so that the beach borders the reef/limestone break and is not swimmable - water shoes are a must! The breaking waves, breeze and view from the hammock are world-class. However, use the sea-kayak at your own risk. Getting out is OK but it is dangerous coming back in. The neighborhood has a cenote, a few restaurants and some security (but lock up anyway!). The house has just about everything you would need, including extra water shoes and some snorkle gear. We ran out of water once so heed the notices to conserve. The view from the rooftop at night is stunning if you happen to be there for either a full or a new moon! We rented a car so that gave us some freedom to explore Tulum and the other beaches and ruins. La Zebra, as recommended by Pam, is on a beautiful stretch of beach so good we went back. Paraiso Beach has more of a public beach feel and brings in cruise ship tours. The ruins at Coba and Tulum are nice (but get there as early as possible for Tulum - the ruins and view are nice but gets very crowded with tour buses by 10 AM.). Tulum is a nice town and we found a couple cheap but tasty taco stands. Better than the hoards at Cancun or Playa de Carmen. I took off one star as the house was a little rough around the edges as you would expect of any beach house due to the elements. We couldn't get the kitchen fan to work and a few of the exterior light fixtures were broken (including a recessed light that dangled precariously from a few feet of wire on the porch)."

Tankah Travel Tips

Search no More: Tankah Vacation Rentals

You've made a decision: this year will be different. It will be special. It will be exciting. It will be forever remembered as your family's ultimate vacation. You've been saving for it, wanting to offer the ones you love the trip of a lifetime. You just don't know where that trip will actually take them. You've done your research but everything seems too similar, too common. You want something new and unexpected. Then why aren't you looking at Tankah vacation rentals?

Treat Yourself to Perfection with Tankah Resorts

You know what you want-that reward of your family's laughter. But earning that is difficult and requires the right destination. You can't just travel anywhere. You need Tankah, because there you will find amazing attractions that are sure to please. Dive into crystal water and discover reefs. Tour the surrounding jungles and spy unfamiliar creatures. Fill your nights with the local flavor of music and dancing in the many clubs. Swim with dolphins. And, of course, visit the largest underwater cave system in the world. It will truly fascinate.

Don't Forget the Value of Planning Ahead

While Tankah may by a tropic delight, it is certainly not a secluded one. Countless people journey there every year to enjoy its activities (you won't be the only one who wants to see the ruins of the ancient city of Coba, after all, or view the second largest reef on Earth). If you're not careful, you'll find yourself stuck in a tiny room on the back end of town. Don't let that happen. Look to Quintana Roo Mexico condos instead. There are homes that will guarantee you and your family the best locations and the best comforts; all without forcing you to share. Tankah is the opportunity you've been hoping for. Don't mar it by underestimating the crowds.
