wonderful family destination with breathtaking views!
"Stayed a week with my husband and 6 children ages 5-18. Perfect spot right on the beach-which was absolutely beautiful! We loved the beach, kayaks, swings, roomy kitchen and basically everything about this property! There was great water pressure in the showers which I appreciate. The information packet was the most informative and best I have ever received from a vacation rental property. Wonderful owner and property manager communication and the housekeeper and gardener were so helpful. I like having them there during the days and the security guard at night. All were very friendly and helpful and just made the stay even that much more enjoyable. I sometimes feel vulnerable traveling with so many children, but this vacation I felt was safe and it was wonderfully relaxing. We had Bernardino and Maria (the gardner and housekeeper) prepare a meal for us one ever bing and it was delicious! We had the Mayan barbecue chicken, Mexican beans, and caramel flan.
Even though I would rent a vehicle again, I will say that our experience with Fox/Mex rental agency was not good. They took forever getting us a different vehicle than we had reserved and the insurance which we thought would be $16 per day ended up being $31 (full coverage and on a suburban).
We visited Tulum and Coba ruins and Playa Parraiso (most beautiful beach!). We got a guide at both ruins and enjoyed all the information they shared with us. We got bikes (and Mayan limos) at Coba and it was a fun experience- the kids loved it. We ate at the restaurant out front of Coba which was reasonably priced and excellent food and large portions. We also ate at Mateos in Tulum Pueblo-it was good and the atmosphere was enjoyable-the kids made friends with a large iguana there that they threw bits of food to and the staff didn't mind. The whole area is interesting, beautiful, and a memorable experience for all ages. We looked into vacationing at many other Caribbean areas and I'm very happy that we chose here to vacation!
Also, there were many DVDs, games, hats (we loved the hats!) and other little things that made our stay comfortable and even more enjoyable than we could have ever hoped or asked for! Thank you!"

"We stayed at Casa Perro Feliz over the Christmas holiday with two other couples. The house was amazing and had the modern touches that you would want from a place if you are staying a week. Anne provided so much information to make our time in Tankah great. There are tons of activities right in the bay or a short drive into Tulum and the surrounding areas. We especially loved the Coba ruins as well as the restaurant that Anne recommended we try on the way home. Maria is a wonderful cook and we really took advantage of having her cook breakfast and dinner. We have stayed at a couple houses in the bay and this was by far the best! Be sure to bring swim shoes if you want to walk out into the water as it is a little rocky right on the beach. Overall we will LOVED the trip and are looking forward to coming back!"

"We stayed at Casa Soleada for 6 days in June/July 2015. We spent a total of 11 days in Mexico. The first six days were at Casa Soleada and the rest were in Cancun at an all inclusive resort. Loved our days at the casa! Casa Soleada is a perfect base for exploring the Mayan ruins. We visited the Tulum ruins, the Coba ruins, the Muyil ruins, and several cenotes in the area. We had Edith cook several dinners for us. Loved the meals and the salsa and guacamole EVERY night! This casa is right on the beach. Not really a good swimming beach, but a GREAT snorkeling beach. Down 2 lots to the south, there is some amazing sea life only 100 feet off the beach, maybe 4 feet deep! Truly amazing! You can also kayak out to the reef if you like. We are a family of five (kids 18, 16, and 15). We brought along grandpa. He doesn't get in the water, but he spent HOURS sitting on the back deck area and just watched the waves! So relaxing. Kids loved the hammock chairs on the back porch too! If we ever head back to Mexico, Casa Soleada will be our first choice in places to stay. Thank you for making our vacation so wonderful!"

"Choosing Tres Palmera made our family winter escape to the Riviera Maya everything we had hoped for. The villa was particularly well suited for all ages to relax from two toddlers through grandparents. There is plenty of room inside and out to offer privacy and plenty of comfort for a group of nine. We particularly enjoyed hanging out in the pool area for hours on end taking in the fabulous ocean view while reading, swimming, napping, or digging in the sand. We are glad we arranged to have Lucy and Daniel cook most of our dinners and two breakfasts so that we did not have to leave the perfect beach front location. Vacation relaxation began the moment we arrived. It was wonderful to arrive in the late afternoon and smell dinner cooking and open a refrigerator stocked with precisely the food and beverages we had asked for. We planned our remaining diners for the week with Lucy from a menu listing our choices. (it is in spanish, google translate came in handy) We shopped in Tulum at the Chedraui, a Wall mart scale store, left at the first stoplight in Tulum, the same road that heads to the beaches. It had everything we needed and takes credit cards. As many have mentioned the beach in front of Tres Palmeras is not a good swimming beach, but the Tulum beaches are magnificent. Powder white sand 100 yards out into the ocean. We made two trips to Playa Paraiso to enjoy not only the beach but food and beverage service at the table and beach bed we rented for $10. This covers parking as well. Shower and restrooms are included, credit cards accepted. Take the left fork in the road 2 KM east of Tulum, it's about 20 minutes from the villa. We found the villa offered comfortable bedrooms, plenty of hot water. With two living rooms, rooftop deck, and spacious pool area there is plenty of room for privacy for everyone evenin a large group. We very much appreciated the privacy of the villa and the beach area, with very little car or foot traffic. It was as if we had the ocean to ourselves. I found communicating with the owner Pam easy and helpful. She has decorated the villa in a tasteful traditional way and provided everything necessary for a memorable vacation."
