  • Great Vacation Home

"We just came back from an incredible week here. I cannot say enough about the beauty of the location and the accommodations. The house is spacious with 2 bedrooms and private baths on the second floor. There are also lots of options for spaces for guests to go e.g. living room, dining room and balconies off the bedrooms and a wonderful covered front porch with a spectacular view of the Caribbean. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with native foliage and the beach is pristine with fine white sand. The location is very private. The care-takers are very friendly and helpful and so is the property manager. The road leading to the house was in ok condition, we didnt need a four wheel drive car but you do need it if you plan on driving south of the house because of potholes."

  • Beautiful Nah Yaxche!

"We spent 7 nights at Nah Yaxche in late April this year and it was wonderful. The house and property are exactly as represented here. It's a lovely setting on a protected, idyllic bay. There is a master bedroom and loft in the main house with the kitchen, and an equally charming smaller separate 1-bedroom house adjacent. We had two couples and our 12 year old son and it provided a great balance of community and privacy. The caretakers rake the beach and cleanup so everything looks good every day. Bahia Soliman is an ideal location close to Tulum, the cenotes, Xel Ha, deep sea fishing and diving facilities (Puerto Aventura and Akumal respectively). Tulum is 10 minutes away (with restaurants, grocery stores, etc. as well as the coastal ruins), the ruins at Coba are about an hour away, Puerto Aventura is half an hour, and Cancun Airport is about an hour and a half. You will need a car to get around. From the beach, you can paddle out to the reef on one of the three kayaks, and the snorkeling is amazing. Beautiful large coral structures, high biodiversity, and all an easy paddle (or swim) from the beachfront. We saw turtles, eels (at night), rays, skates, and loads of fish. The house is well supplied and cared for. The owner (David) was easy to deal with and quick to reply to questions and provide advice for our trip. He cares about the house and the community; he wrote a book about Tulum. I spent a lot of time hunting around VRBO, Trip Advisor, and other sites to find a place to stay. I had some level of concern that Nah Yaxche might be too good to be true and that we would be disappointed by reality upon arrival, but that wasn't the case. The photos on this site look exactly like my vacation photos from last week. If you're looking for a beach-front house on a white sand beach, with rich architecture and a great location, you will be happy here. It's a relaxed, low key setting for enjoying Caribbean tranquility."

  • Winter Getaway

"I feel like writing this review for Casa de las Joyas will be a double-edged sword because I'm afraid it's only going to get more popular and therefore less available for me to rent again. That being said, I truly have nothing but great things to say about la Casa de las Joyas in Chan Chemuyil. The owner has gone above and beyond to make the home more than comfortable. The kitchen is a decent size and the coffee maker is functional (which is important for us) - all you need to save some money by cooking for yourself. The 20 liter drum of water was great for us so we didn't have to purchase water. The movie library is extensive and was a treat during the evenings. The accessibility to the beach is PHENOMENAL! We rented bikes for our 10 day stay and didn't need anything else. We strapped the beach chairs (provided by the owner to borrow during your stay) and beach towels to our back and headed to the beach every day. The snorkeling at the local beach is great and perfect for people who aren't super into doing organized tours. All in all, our stay was such a treat, and I'm so grateful we found Casa de las Joyas!"

  • Exceptional and enchanting

"Casa Dos Besos is a gorgeous, peaceful sanctuary in the heart of all the fun...This home has every thoughtful amenity you can imagine and the beach front is breathtaking. We had so many plans for sightseeing and every day decided we didn't want to leave the property, lounging by the sea was too alluring. We did excursion out at night a few times and enjoyed lovely meals at restaurants that are walkable by the beach; we also stayed in and prepared meals several nights so we could play the many festive board games that are available. We had a group of 6 and the home is so spacious, you never feel confined or cramped. Santana, the property caretaker, added greatly to our wonderful experience, he continuously went above and beyond to make our stay more magical. The owners are attentive and extremely amiable and helpful as you make your plans leading up to your arrival. The private chef creates incredible meals and the massage therapist is fantastic. I can't recommend this dream home highly enough..."
