  • Amazing Property Perfect for a True Getaway

"This place is absolutely amazing. The property is beautiful and tucked away in paradise. If you are looking for a private relaxing getaway, this is the place to be. The rooftop sunsets are fabulous. The caretaker is always on hand and ready to help. He keeps the place spotless. If this is not enough, this place also has the best snorkelling ever. The coral reef just in front of the house is incredibly healthy and boasts amazing fish. I saw manta rays on several occasions while snorkelling. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. • The most amazing hotel ever! It was really the highlight of our trip!

"This is by far the best hotel I’v ever stayed in! Me and my boyfriend was just blowened away. The rooms were incredible. They had just thought about every single detail. And the view… WOW! Every morning I woke up doing my yoga in the morning sun on the big wonderful terrace outside our bedroom (a yoga persons dream!), and afterwords we had breakfast there in the sun looking out over the sea. The house is just on the beach and a few meters from the the crystal clear water where you can walk twenty meters out and the water will still be just up to your knees. This place is just perfect for families with little once, or families with older children, for couples or just to go by your self. Just about 50 meters out in the sea there is a coral reef (!) where me and my boyfriend went snorkeling with Phiippe, one of the house owners! This was crazy unbelievable! Philippe leaded us through this amazing labyrinth of corals, just like the corals had builded a road between their walls. Amazing fishes, big and small, surrounded us. Philippe showed us a huge lobster and I never in my life thought I would swim so close to a ray! Close to the house, on the other side, there is a beautiful lake (where you can borrow a little boat) that we unfortunate didn’t had time to explore. The house also have kayaks you can borrow. Next to the house lives a little family, Luc and Teo and there beautiful little daughter. This couple cleans and takes care of the house. And they are doing a fantastic job I most say. We asked them to prepare a chicken for us and wow… this was the most juicy, tasty and amazing chicken I’v ever eaten in my life! This secret place, far away from the city, is an Mexican treasure. I’m so glad I went there and I just need to come back! On our trip in Mexico we explored Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Akumal, Cobá, Cichen Itza, Valladolid, Hollbox, Cancun and of course Xcalac and this was truly the highlight of our trip! At last I want to give a BIG thank you to the amazing couple, Gisele and Philippe, who owns this beautiful house. They was so warm and welcoming and was just fantastic and helpful through our stay in Casa Caracola. All the time taking care of us and making sure everything was perfect made it even more special than it already was. Thank you so much Gisele, Philippe, Lus and Teo A big hug from Sweden! • Unique Escape

"We stayed at the Coral Garden Inn for a week with our 3 year old. It is a fantastic place to really escape from the world. It is somewhat remote so come prepared. We found this to be one of its most charming aspects. If you are looking for a place for quality family time and relaxation this is it. The house is very comfortable and well spaced from the neighbors. We never felt crowded. Also, the snorkeling and fishing were great. Finally, the caretaker Augusto, and his family, are wonderful and really helped us to enjoy our stay. Knowing a bit of spanish was a big help. If you are thinking about the Coral Garden Inn, I say go for it. We hope to return in the future."

  • Secluded Retreat

"We stayed at Casa de Suenos in early May, 2014. Note that when you rent this place you are renting a room within it, not the entire house. The upstairs has two bedrooms and a private kitchen. The downstairs has two bedrooms and shared kitchen. We were not told which room we were getting when we rented so you may want to know just fyi. When we were there the battery back up was not working so we were not allowed to use the ceiling fan in the bedroom. Most nights it was fine but on nights with no wind it was brutal. Check that this is fixed before you go. The caretakers are expats from the US and they were wonderful and very helpful. We loved them. Be aware they have some pets that wander the property which didn't bother us at all but you may want to know this if you are allergic or have an aversion to them. The grounds were very well maintained and the room was very clean. We snorkeled right out the door at the reef which was great. Diving was great with the XTC Dive Center and fishing with Costa de Cocos was very fun. Overall a fun trip to a beautiful remote part of Mexico."
