  • Beautiful Island... Wonderful House!

"We spent a week on Cozumel this past March and it was fantastic! Casa Catarina is a beautiful home in a lovely small, quiet community. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the home. The pictures do not do it justice! We were a group of 7 with 3 children ages 3-13 and there was more than enough space for everyone. The beds were very comfortable and each room had a very large bathroom. The pool was great and there was a smaller pool for our toddler as well. We were busy going on adventures most days - exploring beaches (chen rio and punta sur were all around faves and all of the kids loved playa mia). Amber, Rodrigo and Vanessa made every effort to ensure we had all that we needed during our stay. They helped us to find a rental van to fit all 7 of us, Set us up with Alberto for an amazing snorkel tour of Colombia and Playancar reefs and even stocked the fridge for us for our first night with supper and drinks after a long day of travel. We had a wonderful trip to the island and would definitely love to get back to this little paradise! Thanks so much for everything Amber, Rodrigo and Vanessa.. we very much appreciate your wonderful hospitality!"

  • Amazing Stay!!

"The Condo was amazing. as usual when renting a condo for the first time, I was a little apprehensive, But as it turned out I had nothing to worry about. The condo has been updated since the pictures and it was very open and roomy. I cannot say enough great things about the roof top patio there is a complete cooking are ,outdoor shower, lounge chairs and bar. we took the blender upstairs made margarita's and grilled out , every night we were there. it is a quit neighborhood and you have a constant breeze on the roof at night. there is a shower and faucet on the roof we used to clean our diving gear every night. the pool in the courtyard was nice as well, ( although we never used it). kitchen was well stocked, and you are within 5 mintue drive to everything! Joe was very nice and was avalable to answer any questions we had. we will be back again!!"

  • Fabulous family holiday in a wonderful location

"We stayed at Casa Martia for 2 weeks in July/August 2014 and had the most wonderful time there. The listing on the website is completely accurate in terms of what to expect in the house, and the location/setting was even more beautiful than we had hoped for. The property was clean and well maintained, and the caretaker, Don José, does an excellent and unobtrusive job of making sure everything is tidied away outside at night, and reminding me to lock the car (!). The owners provided excellent information before we finally booked, replying patiently to all my detailed questions. The house is located midway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, which for us was an ideal location, i.e. close enough to take advantage of all that these two towns offer, but quiet enough to feel like we were off the beaten track. We had brunch nearly every day in nearby Puerto Morelos (10 mins drive), at La Pangea where the see breeze keeps you cool as you tuck into the best steak burrito ever. We had dinner also most nights in Puerto Morelos where there are numerous very reasonably priced eateries. We also ate in Playa del Carmen a couple of times which was touristy but loads of fun, and saved our appetites for a Churrasqueria meat dinner in Cancun one evening. We visited Tulum (magic), Chichen Itza (spectacular), did an (unforgetable) beginners' dive "en famille" with the dive shop next to the house, swam in the cool fresh water Cenotes (dos Ojos was great - do the accompanied snorkel to the bat cave), and enjoyed the turquoise sea and powder white sands of Playa Delfines in Cancun. All in all, one of the best family holidays ever - would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get away from it all, and relax in a sublime setting."

  • Wonderful home!

"I couldn't ask for a better home during my 40th birthday celebration. We had 5 adult couples staying for a week. Melodie did a terrific job helping us plan every detail. We considered making meals ourselves and eating out some meals. DON'T DO IT!. The chef service made the experience over the top. Daisey cooked the most amazing meals every day. The shops are a quick walk, but you do have access to a golf cart that is a great addition. I highly recommend this home."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
