  • Excellant!

"The pictures on the website do not do this condo justice! It is beautiful. The patio, the beach, the condo were all first class. The beach and pool were never crowded! Hard to believe we were there at spring break time! The back bedroom could use a new matress and new pillows but don't let this deter you from booking this property. The property staff are very helpful with booking taxis and everyone is very friendly. There is a fantastic snorkel rental just down the beach past the pier. It is Dive Palancar. Fantastic! I'm a nervous snokeler and I loved it! We saw a nurse shark, numerous star fish, a sea turtle and hundreds of fish. The dive staff are the best! Victoria cooked us a great dinner our last night there. The only problem with that was that we had so many leftovers and we had to leave them. If you want Victoria to cook, don't wait until the last night! You cannot go wrong booking this condo. Thank you to the owners for a fantastic restful end to my daughters wedding in Puerto Aventuras. It was the wonderful, relaxing, wind down time we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

  • The Best Property in Akumal

"We are one day back stateside from the best family vacation we have every had much having to do with living in ‘Akumal Breakers paradise’ for the past 8 days. My wife and three adult children and their wives and three grandchildren. Absolutely perfect accommodations. The owners couldn't have been more charming and accommodating from our first contact. When we walked in we couldn’t believe the immediate beauty inside and out. We loved the walk-out bedroom on the main level. The outside covered eating area sitting right on the edge of the pool was just beautiful only to be outdone by the luscious palm trees and shrubbery while sitting area ocean side on Adirondack chairs and hammocks and chase lounges. Walking the beach, swimming, building sand castles, snorkeling, and kayaking filled our beautiful sunny days. The beaches and restaurants of Akumal and Tulum were just a short distance either direction from Akumal Breakers. My sons and I had a very fun morning at a spendy but beautiful golf course which was located directly across the highway. Anything that we had for forgot to bring or merely wished we had was miracusiouly available. It seems there is nothing that they forgot about. We had Hors d'oeuvres and Happy Hour at sunset on the roof each evening. Unbelievablbly spectacular views in every direction. There are a married couple that live in a separate home at the back of the property that caretake Akumal Breakers. They are the ones who really make it all come together. The place was immaculate when we walked in. Mirna was in everyday when it was convenient for us and the place was immaculate once again. Luis did the same to outside everyday. They cooked for us whenever we asked which included them shopping for the groceries at the store. Every meal was delicious. Then as if that wash;t enough, it turns out they are both licensed masseuses. A massage on the beach was just flat out over the top. Don’t miss it. If there is a better place than this in Akumal we didn’t see it. We will be back."

  • Superb!

"We just returned from a week’s stay at Casa de Suenos in the 6-unit Sol y Luna condos. What a beautiful space – we loved the condo! It was immaculate and spacious, with tons of light and fresh breezes. The aqua and white décor enhances the beach-y feel. The pictures in the photos are really the way it is. You can see the ocean from the back balcony; furniture and beds are very comfortable. Karl is very responsive, and Ramon (manager who lives nearby) was also very responsive. The condo is located less than one block from the water. There is a beach bar/food establishment (Unico) that is only a few steps from the beach entrance. We rented chairs and umbrellas there and parked ourselves for hours, gazing at the water, swimming now and then, and reading. (The shrimp wraps from Unico are delicious!) We cooked a bit at the condo, but mostly ate out. Food in PM is fantastic! (and not expensive). While you are there, try to get to the Jungle Spa for a Mayan massage. We didn’t stay long enough for further adventures, but next time cenotes and snorkeling at the reef for sure! Also next time we will rent bikes to ride to town and back. The distance from the condo is walkable, but if we had had bikes we would have explored the side streets and beyond. We didn’t rent a car, but the taxi system is very organized and taxis are cheap, so we used them liberally. Puerto Morelos is a small, quiet town with super friendly people. We felt completely safe there. Our biggest problem, like a lot of other visitors to PM, was that we didn’t stay long enough!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
