BEST VACATION EVER!
"My family and I just got back from a 2 week stay in Cozumel Mexico. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and we seriously could not have asked for more. The planning was totally left up to me and everything was a total surprise to the members of my family. We arrived on the August 9th and upon our arrival the weather was promising (sunny, hot and humid). Yeah! Our kind of weather!!! Vanesa greeted us at the airport which was a big plus for us as it was our very first time in Mexico. Within half an hour it started pouring buckets of rain. I mean literally! The streets were flooded within minutes (over a foot of rain all over the streets). A 20 minute drive to the rental property took us over 40 minutes to get to destination. At this point I was pretty much skeptical about everything else. Once we got to destination there were no signs of rain! The sun was beaming and everything was from then on just BEAUTIFUL! We were greeted by Cesare who kindly took care of our luggage. Vanesa brought us to Villa Tango Del Mar and went over some pointers. She answered all of our questions and left us to explore this BEAUTIFUL, GORGEOUS AND INVITING HOME. 3 HUGE bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, a beautifully furnished kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, big dining room and living room. My husband headed upstairs where a GRAND master bedroom, an ensuite bathroom and a 60' by 30' terrace was awaiting us. As soon as he saw the hammock he knew right then and there where HE was going to spend most of his afternoons...(napping). From the terrace you see the beautiful sea, the most gorgeous sunsets, many palm trees and all kinds of birds chirping away. To our surprise we had maid services every single day except for Sundays. We felt like pure ROYALTY. The pictures to this rental do NOT give it justice. This place is VERY clean, VERY cozy, EXTREMELY inviting and so very functional. A binder with helpful information is also provided and well appreciated. All from recommended local restaurants, snorkeling, scuba diving, local activities to grocery shopping. This place is very well located and minutes away from the Sky Reef, Dolphin Discovery, Playa Mia, horse back riding... We loved having a private beach with an infinite pool less than 100 meters from our rental. We felt VERY safe throughout our stay. Having to deal with the owners was an absolute breeze. We are on depression mode ever since we got back home!!! . Hoping to come back VERY soon!"

Skip the resort. Great home for a family vacation.
"Our family of 6 rented Villa Kigner in August and we really loved the house and the community. The pools in the complex were terrific and the house has 7 bikes which we used a number of times to get to the beach. (the bikes aren't ideal for smaller kids).
The grounds were very nicely landscaped and well protected. Neigbouring units were all well-kept and quiet. We always felt very safe and secure. There are 2 groceries stores very close by, just outside of Playacar, and easy to get groceries at. Playacar has some small stores and restaurants as well that are easy to walk to.
It's a bit of a walk to Playa del Carmen and not that easy to find the beach, but we managed well. We had some great meals in town. We don't recommend eating on 5th avenue. We had a much better experience eating at local restaurants which were very easy to get to from the house.
The proximity to various activities around the Mayan Riviera is perfect. Snorkeling, ruins, cenotes. We had a great trip and were so glad we picked Villa Kigner to stay at."

"What a wonderful vacation home! I spent much of my time relaxing by the pool, reading. I took a dip every morning. It was quite hot and there's nothing like cooling off before heading out to do some shopping on the ocean front! Casa Mambo is located in a very quiet neighborhood away from the tourists by the ferry. It's a wonderful place to enjoy the simplicity if island life yet not too far from the action of the Carribean. Andresita is very helpful and knowledgable. I don't think my vacation would have gone so smoothly without her help."

"I had visited the Akumal area quite a few years ago and have always wanted to return to this place of paradise . This was My first time staying at Casa Acacia and the house is located on the best spot at Akumal sur. The bay is protected by a reef and the waters are no deeper than 5 1/2 feet, which provides the most spectacular snorkeling experience I have ever had.
Hammocks to relax in and a sea kayak for your enjoyment. We were two couples with more room than we needed.
The roof top provided us with wonderful star gazing at night and gorgeous sunrises in the morning. Quite spot to listen to the sea and read a book.
The owners of the property are wonderful and easy going, the packet of information they send To find the home is spot on. We rented a car at the airport and drove it was easy. We stopped at the Chedraui in Playa del Carmen on our way for a big grocery shop. Everything you could possible need including beer, wine and liquor.
Doris and Abraham the housekeeper and grounds keeper are charming and helpful. Doris will cook for you her chile reños and Flan are delicious.
The home is a modest beach house nothing fancy the furniture is a bit tired. There is a downstairs kitchen that is great for keeping snacks and beverage for easy access from the pool and beach. The upstairs kitchen although small is fully stocked for all your cooking needs. Gas range, refrigerator , toaster , blender, etc.
Some day I hope to return thank you Pete for sharing this place .
