  • Beautiful, modern condo with a great view!

"My family of four rented this two bedroom/two bathroom condo in June 2014. The bedrooms and bathrooms have so much more space than hotels to unpack & store your items during your stay in their dresser drawers and closets. The beds were very comfortable, the AC worked great, & it was nice having a safe in both of the bedrooms. The wonderful maids came daily & even washed our dirty dishes that we left in the sink. We left tips for them every day in an envelope. The kitchen has been beautifully remodeled. We bought groceries & beer from the Super Express nearby and enjoyed making breakfasts several times during our stay using the oven & stove. There were plenty of non-stick pans, cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, plates, bowls, etc...The refrigerator/freezer was a good size for groceries. They had dish soap, sponges, & towels but we had to buy our own paper towels. We bought very affordable wine & liquor at a nearby place called Covie & enjoyed using their blender to make our frozen cocktails. We brought a collapsable rolling ice chest with us & would fill it up with our drinks & took it to the beach with us every day. The large, wrap-around balconey was gorgeous & had really nice patio furniture. They have trimmed some of the palm trees recently so you have a beautiful view of the beach and water! The pool was extremely warm in June but still enjoyable- its never crowded. North Beach in Isla Mujeres is BEAUTIFUL! I've never been to a beach where the water is so calm & clear (Stay in Cancun if you want waves) and you can walk out so far & still be able to stand. It does get crowded (especially on the weekends) but there is just so much ocean you can use because you can walk out so far that you can always find a great space to hang out. We brought floaties from home & spent hours floating & listening to music from the boats that would anchor nearby. There were always plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas available but we would go down in the morning and tip the guy who would set up a spot for us in the front row. The waiters were attentive & we enjoyed ordering lunch from them during the day. We had some really good snorkeling by Mia Reef, rented paddle boards which was really fun & easy to do in the calm water, & rented a golf cart one day & explored the island! Every evening we would watch the most beautiful sunsets from the beach. We loved the authentic mexican-feel of Hidalgo St & all the restaurants that we tried. We would definitely stay here again!"

"The condo was almost perfect. Excellent views, spotlessly clean, bright vibrant decor, spacious and roomy. The location is easily accessible to downtown and all the island. The whole complex is clean and peaceful and quiet except for the delightful sound of waves rolling in on the beach. We can't wait to come back in a couple of years for another 2 week stay. Also with the temp. at -26 degrees when we left MI and a balmy 82 degrees when we arrived this vacation was almost heaven in paradise."

  • Perfect Beach Vacation

"If you're planning to vacation in this part of the world, you can't possibly do better than Seascape condo in Akumal. This condo is, hands down, the best in the area in terms of location and amenities. As independent word travelers who cringe at the idea of being confined to a resort or cruise ship, we knew we wanted a rental for this trip and were fortunate to find exactly what we were looking for with Seascape. Seascape's location in Akumal simply can't be beat. The beach side of Akumal is basically a long stretch of road that hugs the ocean, bordered by the public Akumal Bay Beach at one end and Half-Moon Bay at the other. In between, it's populated by condos, homes and small restaurants and shops, while Akumal Pueblo (across the freeway) is more of a working town. Seascape is located in a wonderful complex, La Sirena, on Half-Moon Bay, practically at the end of the beach road. We found this ideal; very quiet but within walking distance to whatever we needed. The condo itself is beautiful and truly had everything we could possibly want or need. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen had everything to hand. The bed was comfortable, shower just right, as was the TV, DVD player, internet and stereo. We utilized open windows for the marvelous sea breezes whenever possible. Out the back door was Half-Moon Bay with fine snorkeling, swimming and lounging and out the front door was the pool set in the gorgeous gardens, always clean and inviting. The property is immaculately maintained and residents and staff alike were very friendly and helpful. Yal-Ku Lagoon, for excellent snorkeling, is just a 5 minute walk down the road, and although we had a car, once we got to Seascape we basically parked it except for grocery shopping. Although a car is recommended, you could definitely do without one if you're in decent shape and walk or bike. We had no trouble walking to all the local dining options from the condo. For excursions outside of Akumal, you can always hire transportation. We managed to plug in our major Yucatan sightseeing on either end of our condo rental rental week, which left us with the week we spent at Seascape free for soaking up the sunshine, snorkeling, swimming and simply relaxing. We'd begin our days with ocean-side coffee in the lounge chairs and end them in the same place, accompanied by the sounds of the waves and the stars overhead. This was a most relaxing vacation for us and we certainly hope to return some day!"

  • Tropical Paradise!

"We see why the owners call their condo "home away from home". Having stayed at inclusive resorts just down the beach for the past several years, staying at a condo was a refreshing change. We walked in and did feel at home. It was cleverly decorated and supplied with all the things we needed. We appreciated the friendly staff, and the tranquility of Residential Reef. Situated in building four, second floor, we had spectacular views of the sandy beach, beautiful blue water all framed with palm trees! We enjoyed both pools as well as the beautifully manicured grounds. A special treat each evening was the opportunity to watch spectacular sunsets. For adventure we scuba dived several times and were amazed by the marine life among the colorful reefs. So, yes, we recommend this condo for your next vacation!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation
