  • Wonderful 25th Anniversary Experience

"Just wanted to add my voice to the many that have sung praises about this rental. When thinking of where to spend our 25th anniversary, we could imagine no other place than returning to Tulum. Traveling with 3 other couples, we were looking for a 4-bedroom house. There aren't many on Beach Road, so we were happy that Villa Sian Kaan fit the bill. It is the nicest Tulum beach home that we've stayed in. * Ample room with several areas to gather for soulful conversations as a group or individuals. * Nice kitchen for fixing your own meals or inviting Chef Irma to pamper you for a day. * Snow was great to work with on our reservations. * Guy and the staff were very gracious and accommodating without being overbearing. * And for what it is worth, our experience is that the place (both the house and the area) has a genuine spiritual energy."

  • A little slice of heaven

"We had a lovely week both weather wise and activity wise. Had a chance to fish on a small Panga from the down town fleet. Caught a couple sizable Dorado and your Master Chef cooked them up Veracruz style. Really great. Went to Aktun Chen for a neat tour of the Akumal caves and Cenote as well as Ya Kul for some great snorkeling in that bay. So thank you for building such a great place. The staff were great and the location excellent."

  • Wonderful Stay

"This rental certainly deserves 5 stars. Its location is ideal, within walking distance from a large grocery store, the boardwalk, and one of the best restaurants on the island. The owners are personable and warm, and even helped us get to the ferry on time when we were running a bit late. The property and rooms are clean and well maintained. We will return, and will recommend Summer Place to our friends."

  • AWESOME!!!!!

"Arena Blanca is one of the best kept secrets in Playa del Carmen. It is centrally located less than minutes from 5th Avenue, but in a fairly quiet side of town. The condo is beautifully decorated with native art and accents and is extremely private and comfortable and within walking distance of everything. The pool and the surrounding grounds are gorgeous and impeccably maintained. The staff are warm and accommodating. This is an extremely quiet complex with only eleven units total. The guests at this complex consisted of several families with children and alot of adult couples. Dealing with Shari and Lisa throughout the entire process was a delight. They were great at providing whatever information we needed and at addressing any personal issues we had immediately. They supplied us with a handy guide to restaurants and local places to see and things to do which proved to be most helpful. We wouldn't even think of staying anywhere else but Arena Blanca on our next trip to Playa del Carmen. Thank you Shari and Lisa for sharing this magical place with us. We loved it!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
