  • Great experience!!!

"We recently had a 18 person family reunion at this resort. It was perfect for an occasion such as this. The Villa is beautiful and the staff is great. We hired cooks for most breakfast and dinners. I would highly recommend that you consider this if you have a large group. We did not have a vehicle, but through Doug's contacts we were able to easily arrange transportation. The company and drivers were reliable and great! Would highly recommend. Overall this was a wonderful experience."

  • simply paradise!

"Had an excellent time. Perfect location! Close to town but not too close that you cannot sit outside have a nice quiet evening. A relatively short walk to town and the great things that Playa has to offer. The complex has a pool which is great for lounging and cooling off during the day. A nice kitchen to make breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Helped keep down the food costs! Glen. (Most restaurants and bars don't take credit cards)"

  • A little slice of paradise

"Casa Aquamarine is the best. My wife and I had an incredible time at this beautiful condo on the beach. The bay is full of sea life and Tulum is a mere 10 km down the road. We wanted a place to relax and get away from it all. And our wish came true. The caretakers, Salvador, Manuela and Rosa, are simply the best. They take great care of the condos and the guests and are one of the reasons we plan on returning next year. If you are looking for a place where there is no hustle and bustle, and you can enjoy peace and quiet with a view to die for, then Casa Aquamarine is for you. The entire Soliman Bay is a nice respite from the crowds that you can run into at other locations, and with no fishing allowed on the reef you can enjoy some incredible coral and sea life with no boats to bother you. Lorena, the owner, took great care in our reservations and letting us know what to expect on our first (and hopefully not our last!) visit to Casa Aquamarine. Simply put, we cannot recommend Casa Aquamarine enough to those who want a quiet, enjoyable vacation."

  • Great time

"We spend 6 days over this beautiful island with my fiance. It was one of our best vacation to date. Great peaceful getaway. We loved the house and the environment. House has beautiful clean garden and direct access to beach. French bakery nearby is great for breakfast, and you have choice of fine dining in "town" center which is like 5 minutes away. You can spend your time walking on the beautiful beach, read books laying on hamack, swim or whatever. The whole island is very "slow" like typical tropical island from your dreams."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
