  • The best views I've ever expereienced - anywhere in the world!

"We are so thankful for this opportunity to stay in your beautiful home. The pictures of the house dont do it justice. The house was super clean and our groceries were waiting for us when we arrived. We woke up fairly early in the mornings and walked all over. Then we enjoyed a cup of coffee and looked at the water. What a relaxing week with family!! We had breakfast twice at Mango Cafe and dinner once. We loved Qubanos. We had lunch and all of us ordered the sampler which was amazing. We spent two days at the Fenix beach and rented a stand up paddle board which was really fun. We had a great time just relaxing and enjoying the water. One day we got massages there at the beach club. We had pizza at Oscar's in the back near the boats and it was really good. We had dinner at Olivia's - it was an outstanding meal! Probably our favorite if we had to pick. We had dinner at a fairly new place on the sidewalk at Rueben's and we loved it. Our last night we had dinner at Lolo Loraine's and it was a memorable experience. We asked Omar (golf cart guy that you suggested) if he knew anyone with a sailboat we might rent and sure enough he found one. The man is from Belgium and the company is really new Adventure Experiences - his name is Sebastian. His boat is a 2010 46' Jeanneau. A beautiful boat. He sailed us around for 4 hours and took us swimming and snorkeling, lunch, and all for a very reasonable price. It was private and a real treat. We hung out by the pool almost eery day. Amazing! We played games at the house every night. Most of all we were captivated every single day and night be the view from your house in every room and outside. I have been all over the world but I have not ever experienced a view quite like yours. We were grateful for all of the information you sent to us before our trip. We followed your suggestions and everything went VERY smoothly."

  • Tropical Paradise!

"We see why the owners call their condo "home away from home". Having stayed at inclusive resorts just down the beach for the past several years, staying at a condo was a refreshing change. We walked in and did feel at home. It was cleverly decorated and supplied with all the things we needed. We appreciated the friendly staff, and the tranquility of Residential Reef. Situated in building four, second floor, we had spectacular views of the sandy beach, beautiful blue water all framed with palm trees! We enjoyed both pools as well as the beautifully manicured grounds. A special treat each evening was the opportunity to watch spectacular sunsets. For adventure we scuba dived several times and were amazed by the marine life among the colorful reefs. So, yes, we recommend this condo for your next vacation!"

  • 3rd Time's A Charm!! So Were The Other 2, By The Way!!

"Just spent a relaxing week at the Sandcastle condo, my 3rd stay there over the years. I keep returning because the place just cannot be beat. The Elements are very well maintained & constantly being upgraded. They added a second outdoor jacuzzi since my last stay. The location is perfect for my taste. Close to downtown PDC (a short walk or a 5 minute taxi ride), but far enough away to be quiet & tranquil. The unit itself has to die for views & is clean & well appointed. Fell asleep to the sound of the waves...very relaxing!! We had massages at the private beach club, took hikes & swam in the pool & ocean. I enjoy staying at condos because there is plenty of room & you have your own kitchen. I highly recommend The Sandcastle!!"

  • Island Getaway

"First time on Isla Mujeres- this condo suited us just fine- location, location, location is the first thing that comes to mind. Playa Norte is the best beach, and Nautibeach is only steps away. This condo is convenient to restaurants and shopping, has a nice pool and adjacent bar/grill, beautifully maintained garden and grounds, and staff that are very helpful. The condo itself is comfortable and well cared for, and arrangements with Katy couldn't have been easier! We liked the main floor unit with patio for easy in and out to the pool and beach. Friends stayed in the units on both sides of us; we had ample privacy but were able to ajoin patios for group activities. Teens found basketball and volleyball courts nearby and were able to walk safely for whatever they needed. Golf carts are the way to go to explore the island and shop for groceries. We will be back!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation
