  • Casa Joann six week vacation 2015

"Casa Joann is a very nicely appointed condominium with all of the conveniences of home. The property Manager 'Karen' was without a doubt the BEST property manager we have ever encountered! The caretaker 'Freddy' was extremely helpful and friendly. Puerto Aventuras is absolutely beautiful with nice walking areas, dolphins, Manatee, sea lions and even wild monkeys in the jungle! The only negative with this property is that the pool sitting area was very small and often in use by the other condo owners and their families and guests leaving little or no room for us and our guests. We are already looking forward to next year's 2 month visit to Puerto Aventuras!"

  • Amazing!

"We rented this condo for a week. From the get go, Ginger was very accommodating, answering all e-mails very promptly. The condo is beautiful and has an awesome view of the pool and beach. Loved the swim-up pool bar! A great place to meet people. Robin, the bartender, is so much fun! The condo is a 2 minute walk to 5th Ave., but nice and quiet at the condo. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and beautifully decorated. I loved sitting out on the balcony reading or watching the lights of Cozumel twinkling at night. This was our best vacation ever! Wish I was still there. Thank you, Ginger, for a great stay!"

  • Perfect Escape

"A group of 6 friends, all mid 30s, had a memorable week here relaxing in the low key atmosphere of the house, enjoying the pool, the airy and spacious living space and the amazing proximity to the town of Playa. We felt like we were true village people, going local by the golf course, and a lovely 15min walk from the very center of the action. We would definiltey return"

  • I Will Be Back

"We had the pleasure of staying for 2 weeks over Christmas break. It was just as I expected….convenient to shopping and the night life. Car rental was within walking distance, we used Blue Way and did not have any problems. The condo was very clean and roomy, beds were very comfortable and lots of pillows. I liked how there were some spices and items to use until I could get to the store to buy my own and replenish the stock. We were able to cook a turkey dinner with all the cookware supplied. We also grilled other nights and enjoyed sitting on the patio and the pool was awesome. Several restaurants were close as well as the waterfront. I will be back!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
