  • Great Location, Clean Comfortable unit.

"Pros: -Gorgeous, clean, modern Unit -Comfortable Bed -Great Location -Oceanside Pool -Not overly crowded Cons -Noise (bass) can be heard all night from clubs. -No bathroom by pool -No wifi in room My Boyfriend and I booked this condo for a week long vacation in Mid November. We were very happy with the unit overall. It looks just as the pictures show. The bedroom is huge and the pillow top king mattress was amazing. What wasn't listed was that the shower in the master bath has a glass wall that looks into the bedroom. This was a great space and had plenty of room. Every two days we received cleaning service and fresh towels. This was nice because with the humidity the towels don't dry out much . There was brand new trundle bed sleeper sofa in the living area (not advertised) which was comfortable and folds out to a full size bed. Cable was provided but stopped working mid trip. Internet was was not provided in the room or by the pool, but was available in the lobby. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked for cooking and drinking! It came equipped with everything you could need for cooking or making margaritas and drinks. 5 gallon water dispenser was provided which was nice. New AC units in Living and Bedroom were quiet and worked well. The location of the unit in the complex was good it has a view off the ocean and sits about 40 yards down the side of the building from the beach. This unit is not in the center of the building and has no view of the pool area. For the price of the unit the location was great! We really enjoyed the relaxed setting and enjoyed being able to walk down to the pool of beach with our own drinks and food. You can get a massage poolside for $30 and hour per person. There were lots of chairs poolside and on the private beach. Friendly security guards made sure only guests used chairs and made the complex feel safe at night. When we were there the restaurant in the building was unoccupied. The thing that made us not give this a 5 star review was the noise inside the room. In Playa there is one main clubbing street located one block from this complex. Every night the loud music begins around 9pm and goes until 5am. You can hear and bass and rumbling clearly from the bedroom of this unit. Luckily we slept with earplugs every night. The windows had very thick glass but didn't keep all noise out. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend the unit."

  • Great place to Stay super close to beach Fantastic Patio Views

"My wife & I had previously checked this unit out on a prior stay in another Casita Blanca condo unit in 2014. We were looking for a larger unit to accommodate 4 adults & 4 teenagers. Casa Wagner fit our needs. 3 large bedrooms each with bathroom & showers. Plus there is a 1/2 bath right off of the kitchen / hall. Unit has a very nice living room area with dining area & super equipped kitchen & laundry room with washer & dryer. These cam in handy for towels/ bathing suites etc. 2 Bedrooms have great king beds w/3rd having a queen bed & bunk bed. Also a loft area above but we did not use it. Teenagers ranged from 14-19. There is a huge private patio that has the best views overlooking the beach/ocean. Sunrises were awesome. There is a nice pool adjacent to this unit & was not a noise issue at all. There is a gas grill however we did not use it as we walked the beach to town every evening to eat at some great places at night. Having walked the entire beach from here to town I do not think you will find a better private unit like Casa Wagner which actually is a separate house located in the Casita Blanca condo complex which is not all that big really. You could not ask for a better unit. Additionally it was very easy to book our reservation with the Wagner's. We sent our deposit & they in turn sent confirmation in timely manner. Roberto & the condo housekeeping staff were great. Very trusting to say the least. All in All a Great Place to Stay"

  • Spacious Condo, Convenient Location for a Big Family

"I took our 8 year old and 4 “twenty somethings” to Cozumel over Holy Week. I picked this condo from the description, pictures and helpful reviews of past guests. It is in a perfect location to quickly access downtown, the marina, and conveniences like the grocery store and the airport. The condo is spacious, modern and spotless and had everything we needed for the week including a washer/dryer, filtered water, and a well stocked kitchen. We walked most of the time, but taxis are inexpensive and easy to catch in front of the condo. We also rented a vehicle one day in order to visit the other side of the island. The undeveloped beaches, rocks, and surf are beautiful and provided the backdrop for amazing photos. We enjoyed climbing up the trail to Coconut’s for lunch. The cliffside view is spectacular and the food/drinks are delicious. The older kids also went deep sea fishing with Albatross Charters, Eddie’s recommendation. They pulled in fish all day. The crew prepared fresh Mahi -mahi ceviche on board with their catch and then cleaned the rest for a meal we enjoyed later in the week. One touristy excursion we did was the pirate dinner cruise…”a good time was had by all”! Most of our days were spent lounging by the quiet pool and snorkeling right in front of the condo. Just be aware there is a current, but proficient swimmers will be fine. We all enjoyed hours of spotting starfish, eels, rays, conch, barracuda, and numerous reef fish. Eddie is timely with his communication and was available during our vacation to answer questions and to provide recommendations for restaurants and services. We followed his advice and were never disappointed. Plus, everyone in Cozumel knows him and his name often comes with a nice discount! The one thing I wish I had known prior to coming to Cozumel is that “cash is king”. Next time I would bring at least $300 USD in 5’s and 1’s for tips, taxis and small purchases. The residents prefer cash. I expected to use credit cards every time we went to a restaurant. However, many only take cash. We all agreed we want to come back to Cozumel. After getting acquainted with the whole island, this condo is in a great location. For those who need it, there is a/c, but if I want cold, dry air, I’ll stay at home. We kept the windows open all week and enjoyed the ocean breeze and sounds of the waves from every bedroom...luxurious! Thanks for your hospitality, Eddie!"

  • Perfect romantic, private, peaceful retreat

"My fiance and I stayed in the casita for 6 nights this July and were in heaven. The casita has amenities we were seeking that the cabanas did not offer, like a full kitchen and air conditioning. Though, after seeing the two separate cabanas I think we would have been perfectly happy in one of them as well. First, we were greeted immediately by Art, the owner. He and his wife were both kind and available to ask questions of, but they were very respectful of our privacy and did not interfere at all with our quiet times. They reside on-site in a detached home near the casita. We had daily maid service and she was amazing!! Considering the enormous amounts of sand we tracked in along with little bugs and who knows what else, we always returned to a clean and neat home. It is hard to convey just how special this place is, but it was exactly what we wanted for the right price. I looked from Akumal down to Tulum, and had stayed in Soliman Bay twice before, but the prices were not within our range, and we only needed a bed, bath and kitchen, not an elaborate mansion or pool. This fit the bill. The bay just steps from your sliding glass door is calm and fun to snorkel in, and there are three decent restaurants just south walkable along the beach or road from the casita and cabanas. I would hope anyone booking here understands that Tankah is nothing like Cancun...the restaurants close up at nine, and they are far from fancy. People come here for peace and to soak in the beauty of this area not for partying or late nights. A car rental is probably necessary to 90% of visitors, and it was nice for us to have one since we bought groceries in Tulum (huge market[s] there) and went to a couple nearby areas for the day. Having the full kitchen in the casita was handy and we prepared almost all our meals in the casita since it is equipped with everything you need. If you feel the need for a little pampering there is a big resort 5 minutes drive south called Dreams. We got the 1/2 day pass for $50 per person and got all you can eat and drink, from 12 to 6pm. They have a swim up bar, several restaurants, kayaks for borrowing, you name it. It was fun to have the little luxuries, but everywhere we went we just wanted to get back to this little Slice of Paradise in Tankah! In closing, be prepared to fall in love here. With nature, with yourself or your partner all over again, and with just being still!!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
