  • Just as advertised!! Great getaway spot far from the crowd!

"We just returned yesterday from our 5-day stay at this property. We had a great time with no problems at all. The condo was as advertised, was clean, had great views, beautiful beach, two very nice clean pools, was quiet, and was all we were promised it would be. The owner readily and accurately answered our few questions and the on-site staff at the complex was very helpful, great to deal with, and always available. Snorkeling OK in front of the complex, better farther north near Money Bar or Chankanaab. The location is far enough away from "town" to avoid the cruise ship crowds, but not so far away that we couldn't get into town for nice meals in 10-15 minutes. Rental car is cheap and a must. That being said, don't miss out on the little portable trailer just outside the property entry. Great tacos, tortas, and breakfasts by a sweet lady who works really hard to make very tasty and very affordable food. Only sorry that we just tried it for lunch on our last full day. We had to hit it again the last morning on the way to the airport. Fantastic!"

  • Pardise!

"I just returned from a fabulous girls getaway at Casa JoAnn, and it is now on the top of my list of places in the Yucatan to return too! The condo is modern and beautiful, with all of the modern conveniences listed in the previous reviews, and the pool was fantastic! Each morning I lounged by it with my coffee and my book, listening to the chatter and songs of the local birds. Then it was off to explore the many adventures of the Riviera Maya. Everyone I encountered in Puerto was friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived and met our driver to the drop off at the airport to go home was smooth sailing without a single glitch. We hired the local driver for excursions (there were 6 of us) and even rented golf carts one day to explore the Puerto Aventura area. Had a catered meal in the condo one night that was spectacular. The property manager made most all of these arrangements. She is helpful and friendly and wealth of information!! The condo was so luxurious I hated to leave. I will return!!!"

  • Amazing Home

"We have traveled to the Rivera Maya resorts and Caribbean Island resorts a dozen times or more in the last 8 years, however Casa Vaya Vida was a new experience. The home is in excellent condition and the views spectacular! Everything from the airport transfers to the golf cart ready for our use was seamless. Monica, the property manger, made the arrangements and checked in with us to be sure everything was in order, and it was. The kitchen is well equipped, we had breakfast and snakes during the day and dinned out in the evenings. There are many fine restaurants on the Isla, check the top 10 on Trip Advisor and you will not be disappointed. The home is amazing and It’s a pleasure when a trip meets your hopes and expectations! The housekeepers do a great job as well as the rest of her staff. Also the home as lots of games for all ages and a large number of books, they are a treat and fun was had by all. And the info books provided are most helpful. We will definitely return, hopefully this fall."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
