  • Great time at Solymar Condos, Condo was wonderful.

"My husband and I booked this unit while staying in another condo in Feb. 2014. We had met a couple during our vacation and they were booked at Solymar for 2 months. They wanted us to join them. The owner was very easy to deal with, quick response. We took the unit with 2 beds. The pictures were spot on, no hidden surprises. The unit was well supplied with cooking utensils, plates, bowls, and glasses. Maid service was good during our stay. We met a lot of nice people and will be going back next year. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance and the bus is easily accessible. The owner emailed us paperwork with lots of info about the property and surrounding area."

  • Great condo; beautiful location!

"Four of us just returned from a week in Shawn's condo. It was a great place to stay; the condo was completely furnished and so comfortable and clean. The location was the best. We walked to 5th Avenue every night for dinner and shopping. Also walked to Walmart and Mega to pick up some food and they are both an easy walk. Shawn was super to deal with and so helpful. This was my first time to use VRBO and couldn't ask for a better experience. Highly recommend El Faro and Shawn's condo."

  • Lovely apartment and complex

"A wonderful stay at a lovely apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Villas Talia and Puerto Aventuras. We found the property manager to be very helpful and accommodated our requests. The two bedroom apartment was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Perfect for a family of four. We loved the complex. It was quiet and relaxing and had beautiful landscaped gardens. The pool was great for our young children. The walk to the beach/ to the Marina and restaurants was only a 12/15 minute stroll down a lovely path shaded by palms! After six months of winter this walk was welcomed and enjoyed by us all. Lots to see and do in the area. Thanks Andrew and we hope to return soon."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation
