  • Great condo with wonderful view!

"4 of my girlfriends and I stayed at Xaman Ha condos, unit 7010 the third week of January of this year. We enjoyed the comfort of the condos and the 2 bathrooms, updated kitchen, dining and living areas were a perfect size for our group. We watched the sun rise over the Caribbean from our patio while enjoying our coffee each morning. The beach is nice and uncrowded and the pool was refreshing. We enjoyed the pool bar happy hour and the delicious cheeseburgers several times as we spent the day relaxing by the pool with an occasional dip in the sea. We appreciated the close proximity to town without the noise. We will be back!"

  • Total Relaxation!

"Family vacation for grandparents, kids, inlaws and grandkids. All adults came totally exhausted and in need of warmth and relaxation. Achieved both in roomy house, wonderful pool, proximity of beach and downtown."

  • Beautiful place

"Our family of 5-all adults, had a wonderful time. Eddie was wonderful and the snorkeling right off the back of the pool was amazing. The condo was completely user friendly with wide open living areas and the ocean views from the bedrooms were awesome. We can't wait to do it all over again next December."

  • Our favorite condo in Cozumel!

"Our second stay in Marla and Cliff's condo. We feel so at home in their place! Comfortable beds, low key beach decor, great showers, kitchen with everything we need, internet works great, nice porch area and a large dining table that accommodates at least 8 when we have our friends over for dinner. We are divers so we love the big sink in the laundry room for rinsing out our gear. Also love the availability washer and dryer as this allows us to pack less clothing. The small portable fans really helped with getting our diving gear almost completely dry each day! While the location is at the north end of the town of San Miguel, we enjoy the 15 minute walk to and from the dive pier each day and to most places we eat and shop. If it's raining, a taxi to most places in the central are is $2 to $4. As Cozumel is our favorite place to dive, we plan to stay here many times in the future!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.
