  • Great condo!

"We had a great time in PDC this week! The condo is just as shown/ described in the listing. Very nice, clean and spacious. So much better than a hotel or resort. It was just my husband and I this time but this place would be perfect for a family or two couples. Short walks to the beach and 5th ave. neighborhood is mix of tourists and locals- very quiet. Owner was very quick to respond to my emails. Highly recommend!!"

  • A really nice stay at Caribbean Reef

"First, I apologize for all the mistakes as English is not my langage. With my husband and daughter, we were there for 3 weeks and we really enjoy the place and the condo. It was exactly what we need. The bed was confortable, we appreciate the big water bottles and it was really clean. Enough room for us 3, probably ok for 4 too. Cooking ustensils were minimum but ok. The staff, specially Marlene and Fernando, were very kind and helpful. We found the ocean not so beautiful for swimming (but beautiful to watch it by our balcony), much rocks and not clear for snorkeling while we where there, not to much to see anyway. But, it was ok for shorts swims and we passed all our days just on the beach at the palapa that we enjoy to don’t have to « fight » to get one! We went some time in town, just in front of the hotel "Ojo de Agua" to do snorkeling and we take a tour to the reef one time. Pool is wonderful. The walking to the town was about 20 min, we walked to get there but we always took a cab for coming back at night as it's not really a nice walk and it is dark. My husband rent a bike in town so he was able to do the shopping in town every day. There is one grocery, a fruit and vegetables strores (they make delicious juices), the fishermen's coop, and on the third street, a man that we call him "mister freeze" as he sold all frozen (fish, meat). Generaly, we enjoy everything, , the place is really beautiful and quiet. Jocelyne Parent, Val-David, Québec"

  • Fantastic Location...Close to Everything.

"Our stay was wonderful...The staff made us feel very welcome. The transportation to and from the airport was flawless, Laura was incredibly friendly and efficient at showing us how everything worked and the security of the facility and condo made us feel completely at ease. The location to the beach club, gym, shopping on 5th, dining and our favorite dive shop (Scuba 10) could not have been any better. We appreciated the warning about the music at night from the clubs. It actually seems louder in the living room compared to being on the rooftop deck or the outdoor patio…I’m not sure about how the acoustics work, but the bedroom was the best area for quietness. We brought earplugs but I didn’t end up using mine and we both slept well every night including new year’s eve. This was probably one of the best vacations we have had and we have traveled all over the world. It was just easy."

  • Home away from home!

"My husband and I rented this unit for our two week vacation. During this time my family joined us for a week. We have rented condos before in PDC, however, this is the nicest unit we have ever had the opportunity of renting. This three bedroom/3 bathroom was perfect. The bedrooms each have their own bathroom, which our guests commented on how nice that was. The bedrooms are big, and comfortable! The living room is extremely well furnished, we like to relax in the evening and this living room was so comfy, beautiful leather furniture, large screen tv, and most important for us, a nice CD player, with pretty good sound. This kitchen is large, great for making dinners in and there is a bbq off the kitchen. When we arrived at noon, the lady was still cleaning the unit, and I have to admit, the unit was completely spotless when she was finished. She came back during our stay twice more and did an awesome job cleaning up. This is a unit that the owner clearly cares about and has taken care to hire excellent property management. So much pride in his unit...it really felt like our home while we were there. We did not want to leave, and when we go back again, we will make our stay longer. The owner was very accommodating to our many questions as was property management. The photos all though are accurate, does not really capture how big the unit is, the unit is larger than the pictures appear. We highly recommend this unit for a vacation in Playa del Carmen."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation
