  • Visit 2 - Ah, Paradise!

"We set trip for 10days this year, April 8 - 18th. So, So much better than a week. Once again our stay at Dave and Katy's Quinta Ixchel was wonderful. What we want is a first class place without all the fuss of a hotel or condo. This is it, beautiful inside and out. We also love the private pool, beach and setting. We always rent a golf cart for our stay and thus have best of our privacy at Quinta Ixchel and ability to go into town for Norte Beach, Dinner, Drinking etc... We typically split our beach time between staying at the Villa and going to Norte Beach. Perfect! Chris/Lisa St. Louis."

  • Absolutely beautiful!

"This is actually my second time staying at this particular condo. Liked it SO much I came back for my 60th birthday along with 2 friends and my sister! It's great for anyone that wants to just sit by the pool or beachside or for those that want adventure, there are wonderful ruins to explore and the city of Playa del Carmen is very quaint. The city is very close, right outside the gates, all within a quick cab ride for those that didn't rent a car. There is a large market a short distance away for those that like to cook at home and the restaurants in town are great! But the best thing about this condo is the breathtaking view just sitting on the deck, looking at the azure blue sea, the people kite sailing, and the clouds in the distance! It's magical!"

  • Great rental with great service

"We rented this house for one month and we recommend it! Absolute perfect location, 2-3 minutes walk to the famous 5th avenue and to the beach (we actually chose the house because it really has the best location). The beds are heavenly, the pools and complex are very nice and very well maintained. The house is well equipped, has plenty of fan everywhere and the Bill gives a great service and does everything he can to make his tenants happy! We do recommend! :)"

  • Best location

"Just steps from the newer section of 5th Ave., this condo is in a perfect location. It is bigger than it looks and the roof top deck and pool are a plus. Kim, the property manager, was very helpful. I'm looking forward to going back and staying in this unit again."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
