  • RELAXING VACATION AND OUTSTANDING DIVING!

"The condo was exactly as described and well located on the island, about 5 miles from town. The beach area was really nice/private and quiet and the snorkeling right outside the condo is great. The pool area was also very nice and quiet. We made use of the bicycles to get to town and for excercize and the old road that runs by the condo and half way around the island is fantastic since it is mostly restricted to bikes with very little traffic. The floorplan and furnishings worked great for our group of 2 couples and 2 singles. We did a refresher dive course and experienced AMAZING scenery below the water. I highly recommend Phocea dive shop. The staff we met (Guadalupe the housekeeper and Alex) were super nice and helpful. We loved Wet Wendy's for salsa dancing with a great band on Wednesday night, and the sunset happy hour at The Money Bar was awesome (good mojitos). Hope to get back to Cozumel soon for more diving and would stay at Paradise 2B again."

  • "Paradise in Peregrina"

"My husband and I just returned from a fabulous three month stay at this Peregrina Condo in Playa del Carmen. We were thrilled to find a 3 bedroom condo with the perfect layout to have our two adult daughters and their husbands join us for two weeks over Christmas and New Years. Two of the bedrooms are located on the main floor and the third bedroom is located upstairs beside the private rooftop terrace. Each of the bedrooms has king sized beds and their own ensuite bathrooms which was convenient for our extended family. The beds in the second bedroom can be used as two single beds or a king sized bed. Each bedroom also had its own safe. Rosy, the cleaning lady comes one a week and does a super job! The rooftop terrace is sunning and several times throughout our stay we hosted friends and family in this area. It has beautiful built in seating and coffee table as well as another table and chair set with a big umbrella. The lovely mural of Tulum as well as the plants and flowers on the rooftop make it a very inviting place to be! The entire condo is well appointed and it is evident that the Canadian owners who come to this condo themselves take pride in its décor and ensure that it is well equipped in all rooms. The pictures on the internet really do not do this condo justice! During our stay the owner asked if we had any suggestions as to what else the condo might need and the few things I recommended he had the property manager purchase and deliver even before the end of our stay! The kitchen is a good size and is also well equipped with dishes, pots and pans, utensils and serving dishes. The table easily sits 6 or more people. The bonus was having a gas bbq on the front deck that overlooks the pool, as my husband could help with the cooking! The location of the condo is on of the best in Playa! Mega and Dac grocery stores are just a short walk away. It is close to many great restaurants between 20th and 30th Ave. The condo is a 10 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to 5th Avenue. It was nice to have the option of the activity on 5th Avenue or the choice of quiet just around the condo complex. The pool area and grounds are also very well maintained. There is 24 hour security for this condo complex. The property manager and her assistant were very responsive and prompt with any requests or questions we had for them. We also had great communication with the owners, Gordon and Liz, who made sure our 3 month stay was perfect!"

  • Fantastic Location, Responsive Management, Just a few Glitches

"The previous reviews pretty much cover the many good aspects about Casita Blanca condos, unit A5 and its owner. The complex's buildings, grounds, pool and beach areas were all well maintained. We found it an easy walk (about 8 Mexican blocks) down a sandy beach to PM's town square where most restaurants, shops, ATMs, money exchange, etc are located. Also a local grocery store, Super Casa Martin, where you can purchase about all your food and drink needs. The property manager Roberto while kept very busy maintaining the complex; was always friendly and responded to any issues in a timely manner. The condos are individually owned so the décor, amenities, updates, etc. can vary widely depending upon which unit you rent. I recommend a 3rd floor unit for the best views of the beach during the day and for moonlight shimmering on the ocean at night. The ground floor units view of the shoreline are blocked by a hedge along the property's front and the coconut trees have grown to the height where some 2nd floor balcony views may be partially blocked by their palms. Our 3rd floor condo had spectacular views as shown in the photos. The unit was adequately furnished and housekeeping came thru about every other day or so to clean. Roberto and his crew were swapping out our water heater when we arrived; after a couple tries we had muy caliente agua (alotta hot water). The rest of the appliances and utilities worked fine. The WiFi worked best out on the balcony. The safe in the back smaller bedroom with the double bed works fine if you follow Roberto's instructions. There is no real 'wall' between the bedrooms, just a large sliding wood-paneled door. We're a well-traveled crew, so this was not a privacy issue for us. Both bedrooms only have sheers for curtains. So if you get the king-sized bedroom with east ocean-facing windows; plan on being an early-riser as you awaken to the brilliant morning sunrises illuminating the room. We did not find out until after we arrived that while A5 had a large HD TV, there was no satellite/cable/local TV reception? Which pretty much made our decision to watch the Superbowl at a local cantina vs in our condo. Which while more expensive, was mas fun. Another slight glitch, the knob on our dead bolt broke off? Luckily we'd packed a of pair of needle nose pliers with us so we could grab and slide the bolt open to avoid the quandary of being locked in a 3rd floor condo. We info'd Roberto about it. He said Don't use it. Wise advice."

  • Great condo - Perfect Location!

"Our family stayed at #7010 for 2 weeks in Feb/early March this year. We could not have been more pleased and delighted with our stay! The complex is gorgeous and meticulously cared for, and the condo itself was in excellent condition and had everything promised. The pool/beach were about a 20 second walk away, which was great! Both toilets broke separately during our stay but they were each fixed within 24 hours. Maid service is every other day; they provide new towels, sheets, and have the empty 5 gal water jugs replaced. The front desk concierge was wonderful and extremely helpful! We've never felt safer in any other property - there are security guards 24/7 and wristbands to make sure the pool area stays private. The pool has cheap, yummy food, fun bartenders, and $3 happy hour drinks every day. The start of 5th Ave (restaurant/dining/shopping district) is a quick walk away The Ado bus station is also about a 5 min walk away for $12 trips to and from the Cancun Airport. Our family stayed at Xaman Ha 7010 for 2 weeks in Feb/early March this year. Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option.
