"Group of 5 adults stayed here for a week in October. Property was well cared for, and grounds were very gardenlike.
We usually cooked breakfast, and found ample cookware and utensils for all. The full size refrigerator was also nice. They have a nice little pool in a gardenlike setting and another pool overlooking the bay. We found the bay almost empty of other people, and so had it to ourselves, and because the condo is on the north end of the bay, found less issues with sea weed there. Anywhere you go to the Mexican beaches there is a sea weed issue, but don't let that stop you, snorkeling was very good in Half Moon Bay and saw about a dozen turtles down in the town of Akumal. Although we went there early in the morning before all the tour groups starting arriving. Deb was very informative about things to do in the area and easy to work with, if we had any questions. The folks working as the property managers were also quite helpful. The price for the condo was most reasonable for what we got and would certainly not hesitate to rent from them again. We've stayed in this part of Akumal before, and find it less crowded and relaxing. We enjoy visiting the various pueblos like Akumal, Chemual, and others to eat at the local restaurants, and we found on average, with the peso exchange, most of our meals averaged only between $7 to $8 per person. Akumal is centered in the area of the Mayan Rivieria so one can visit many cenotes, beaches and even Mayan ruins with an easy drive. By the way, we rented a car this time and had no issues with driving the Mexican roads and highways. Staying in Half-Moon Bay, you should have a car. And just a reminder about the road to get to Half Moon Bay from town, though, needs work. While a number of the sections of road are paved, there are also sections not pave, and they were very rough and rugged, one wonders if the owners can't at least fill all the holes with stone or pebbles to smooth it out. Oh well, thats Mexico! Check this place out though, since we believe you won't be disappointed in your stay."
