"I absolutely love staying here. We have booked it for a month every February for the last 3 years and have booked again next year. It feels like my home away from home!"

  • The BEST view and VERY comfortable BEDS! LOVED IT!!

"What a Beautiful condo! We had rented both of Kim's condo's for 10 days and we just loved it! Although it rained and blew for 5 days, it was still nice to cozy in and watch movies Kim has stocked. We were so glad for the dehumidifiers too. The condos were so clean and Margarita is the best housekeeper! Mauricio was an absolute gem, we couldn't of had a better person to help us with ANYTHING we needed, including finding a birthday cake! My husband lost his wallet the first day and Mauricio found the taxi we had rode in from the market and made phone calls to help anyway he could. The next day a worker from the market found it and brought it back to the the front desk thanks to the room key inside it with the condo's name on it, ID and credit card still inside. Everyone is very friendly and the beach service is top notch! Arturo, Gilmar and Gabriel were very attentive to us. Great food at the condo restaurant, the best coconut shrimp we had anywhere else! Kim was a wonderful help every step of the way and answered all my questions on the phone and emails. We ate at Lola's, Rolandi's,Rooster,Olivia's so many times we had something different everytime and were never disappointed! The best pizza was at Rolandi's! We loved eating breakfast on the patio with the gorgeous view of the BLUE ocean!! THE most beautiful colors we've ever seen and sooooo WARM!!! Thank you so very much, Kim, for the best vacation and the nicest condo! We want to come again ASAP! We miss all the people at IXCHEL already!"

  • Family Spring Break Getaway

"Loved this place! It was everything advertised and more. The house is spacious giving everyone a place to relax and unwind. We have two girls who spent hours enjoying the private pool. We loved all the different terraces/decks for enjoying the views/sunsets and unwinding. Also loved the two iguanas that suntanned by the pool each day! We rented a golf cart for most of our stay and enjoyed cruising around the island exploring the many different parts. It was fun for the kids to experience living amongst the locals, watching the different mopeds driving past offering agua (water), freshly squeezed juices, and tortillas. Brenda and Brian are wonderful hosts who provided us with so much information and assistance. They are very intuitive to your needs! We made most of our meals at Casa Flores as we find with young children it is easier to eat at home. There is a large supermarket close by where you can buy pretty much anything. We enjoyed North Beach (there is a great snorkeling area for kids at the Avalon Channel), shopping downtown, the church square for people watching and the beautiful fish at Castille Garrafon (way cheaper than the all inclusive Garrafon Park). I'm ready to go back now!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
