  • Honeymooning at Aldea Thai in Playa

"Last year I stayed at the gorgeous Aldea Thai on a girls getaway and was thrilled to return a year later for my honeymoon! I was thrilled to find a "gift" of my favorite champagne--Veuve Clicquot, upon our arrival to the condo, thoughtfully chosen by the very hands-on owner who also helped us out with a private car service and emails during our trip to make sure everything was okay. It was more than okay, the condo is great, WIFI can be spotty, but your there to relax not stay on your computer or phone, so it worked out. The location is great, Mamitas beach gets crowded, so go early, or better yet, pay the extra and bunk at Kool's Beach Club. Woul definitely visit again and highly recommend!!!"

  • Leaves nothing to desire

"Casa Milagro does not disappoint. My family and I have stayed at this house twice due to the fact that everything you could possibly need or desire is at your finger tips. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and well designed. The beds offer a wonderful night sleep after a busy day at the beach or 5th Ave. Often an afternoon can pass by as you lounge by the pool and sip drinks that are easily accessible in the near by kitchen. This is the perfect location if you love access to the beach, nightlife and sight seeing. We brought both our children, ages 3 and 5 and they were thoroughly entertained. The house offers sand toys, bikes, beach chairs and coolers to make your stay comfortable. Pack you bags and rest easy knowing that you can count on this place being paradise!"

  • Amazing Vacation

"This is our 5th time vacationing at Moon Palace. We enjoyed this resort so much, we invited other family members to join. This year there was some construction on the property, however it did not take away from our experience. Also, with the improvements that they are planning, I cannot wait to return. They are upgrading rooms, adding a wave runner, and a dolphin exhibit, just to name a few. This year we booked our vacation through this owner and was extremely satisfied with his response to emails and how prompt he booked our vacation. We would definitely book our next vacation through this site and owner again."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
