"The location of this property is perfect. You are in a gated community with all the amenities you need and or want. You never have to leave-nor will you want to! That being said, you are close enough to consider exploring the many sights along the Mayan Riviera. There are plenty of activities to pick from. The condo is spotless and well maintained with a full equipped kitchen (and outside gas grill). The listing of this property is spot on. Everything you need for your vacation is there. We chose to dine one night in Playa del Carmen and while it was fun to see the "street vendors" we had far better meals in the PA community. Great eats and drinks at your front door, if you can ever pull yourself from the back door- with the pool and patio it can be hard to do. One evening we hired a local chef to come in and prepare us dinner at home. WOW what a treat. He did the shopping, cooking, serving, and cleaning. We only supplied the wine and you can get that in the center of PA at a local shop. This property can appeal to the laid back family or group and yet the more adventurous will have plenty to pick from with the ruins, cenotes, fishing, and theme/water parks all nearby. I would and have recommended this condo. We hope to return."

  • Couldn't Be Better!

"Mu husband and I recently stayed at Casa Neza for a week and it was the perfect rental for us! The home was more than we needed with 2 bedrooms and 3 full baths but we decided to spoil ourselves and we're glad we did. We enjoyed the indoor outdoor feel of all the rooms and we loved the total privacy it offered us. We spent our mornings (and many evenings) on the roof top enjoying the views and as the sun got higher we relaxed by the pool. As much as we enjoy the North beach and various beach clubs on the Island, we found ourselves wanting to get back to the privacy of the house! It was fully equipped with everything we needed and the only thing we would have appreciated having is a couple of beach chairs to take to the North beach for an hour or 2 a day. We did rent a golf cart for the week which I would highly recommend. It allowed us to run to the store, get out and about each day for a bit without having to worry about cabs and to go into town or the Colonias for dinner I'm sure the home would be fabulous for a family as well or even 2 couples but we were quite happy to have it all to ourselves :) We can't imagine a more perfect place for us and we look forward to going back! • Loved our Stay!

"We own a rental property on Isla and needed a place to stay while it was occupied by guests. We were delighted with our choice of Castillo del Mar and felt right at home in this well-appointed villa. The incredible views of the Caribbean Sea from every window and terrace were truly stunning. The location is convenient to all the restaurants and loncherias in La Gloria and one block south of the new Isla 33 complex. The mayan themed décor is authentic and the kitchen is completely stocked with top of the line appliances and everything needed to prepare meals and snacks for large or small groups. Each bedroom includes a full ensuite and each room is designed so that you can enjoy that amazing view of the Caribbean Sea! The king sized beds rate among the most comfortable we have slept on and the wonderfully large master suite includes a sunken Jacuzzi that looks out onto the large pool deck. The swimming pool is beautiful and we enjoyed coming home from the beach or town each afternoon and taking a refreshing swim. After we cooled off, we would relax in one of the comfy loungers and watch the waves of the ocean and gaze at the sea for hours. There are more than enough loungers, comfortable chairs, tables and benches perfectly placed around the pool and nearby patio for entertaining, relaxing and enjoying the Isla vibe. Beach towels and everything you could think of are provided and we were happy to call Castillo del Mar our home away from home for our stay. Thank you Phil and Bernadette for thinking of everything and providing us with such a wonderful home for our mother/daughter vacation."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation
