  • Beautiful...

"What a perfect place to spend our honeymoon. The most beautiful property we've ever stayed in and so close to everything. Absolutely gorgeous views from the condo and the beach is steps away. If you require more than this to be happy, you need a therapist, not a vacation!"

  • PARADISE!!!

"Puerto Aventuras is a perfect location for a memorable vacation. The Condo has 3 Bedrooms and two big bathrooms. Enough space for a bigger family! From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the ocean and you can jump into one of the pools. The beaches are powdery-white, it never felt overcrowded and the water is turquoise. My highlight was the Xel-Ha water park, where you can go snorkeling. It takes a 20-minutes-drive from Puerto Aventuras, which is totally worth it. You can swim with turtles, rays and beautiful fish. I think I saw Paradise that day! Besides, there are a lot of other activities to do: You can visit Cancun, Tulum, go to the Maya Ruins, relax at one of the great restaurants and bars in Puerto Aventuras or swim with the dolphins... I stayed in Puerto Aventuras for 8 day. Definitely too short!"

  • Quiet, Relaxing, Home Away From Home...

"Excellent place to stay. Very clean and well maintained. Arena Blanca is steps away from the busy 5th Ave. Its on the northern quieter side of town. If you want to come relax and stay away from all the noise, this is the place to stay. There is an Oxxo (like a 7/11) right across the street for quick snacks, water or over the counter medicine. Clubs and bars are just a walk away. The beach is a block away. The famous Mamitas Beach Club is about a 10 minute walk. I rented two beach layout chairs and a palapa for $9USD. They also have staff to take food and drinks out to the beach. Places I recommend to eat... (all on 5th Avenue) La Parilla, La Vagabunda, La Cueva del Chango, Bip Bip. Short cab ride - La Mission (Mexican Food), and El Fogon (Outstanding Tacos) Recommended Tours You must go to Tulum and Akumal Beach (awesome snorkeling). Visit Chichenitza and Xcaret."

  • Hidden gem

"We used la Casita as a base for a cave diving holiday. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts. You can catch collectivos from the highway 200m away, but it's better to have a car. (You'll need a car to cart lots of drinking water from the supermarket in Puerto Aventuras.) Aside from some late-night music from about 200m away, it was quiet. Having a kitchen meant we could cook and avoid eating too many fattening restaurant meals. No washing machine. Would we stay here again? Yes!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
