Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at this villa for seven days awesome location. Our caretaker Alex was the best took great care of us all and is an amazing chef his family is amazing also. Alfredo Baez the manager of the property was checking on us to see if we needed help with tours and taxis and arranged for us to be taken to the airport the last day. We will be back because of the location, cleanliness and service. We had an amazing time. Thanks again Alex and Alfredo!"

  • Well priced Casita

"I rented the Casita for a month from Jan-Feb this year. The pictures and description are not on the website but accurate pictures and description was sent to me via email promptly. There are two apartments on the property that are larger that are also for rent. The property is set back off the main highway (307) just under 1km and into the town of Akumal its about 3kms. I was without a vehicle for the first three weeks of my stay and found the collectivo an easy and inexpensive way to commute to Akumal Beach or any where along the highway between Playa Del Carmen and Tulum during the daytime. Because the property is off the beaten path a bit it is nice to have a car especially at night to travel between the property and restaurants in town. If walking back to the property at night bring along a torch/flashlight. The Casita was cleaned thoroughly once a week by Wendy, and David maintains the grounds. David speaks some English and Wendy Spanish; if you don't speak spanish an spanish dictionary is helpful when communicating. The kitchen comes with a fridge, microwave, blender, toaster and electric stove top burners and a drinkable water dispenser; pretty much everything you need in a kitchen. Overall, a well priced accomodation for budgetminded travellers."

  • Excellent place to stay!

"We had a group of 15 people from 3 different families and we could not have asked for a better property to accommodate us! Our group has been to Isla Mujeres before and while we have always had great accommodations, this rental tops them all! Each family was able to have their own space since we rented the Villa and both Casitas. The buildings were spacious, comfortable and well stocked with whatever you needed to make your own meals. Our group even encountered a rainy day but with the size of the Villa we were all able to be inside together without feeling cramped. There were even games to keep our kids occupied and off of their electronics. The pool area was great! Even with all of the kids we had along, there was plenty of room for everyone both in the pool and around. You were able to sit in the sun or in the shade with plenty of chairs for everyone. The kids also enjoyed being able to go across the street and look for shells on the beach. The property is well maintained both inside and out. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to not have any shortage of bathrooms. One of the things I miss most is the view of the Caribbean...it is stunning from the master bedrooms! I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be renting there again!"

  • Best Vacation in 10 years!

"This house is simply amazing! The floor plan was perfect for our group. Each room was set up the same (with a bathroom) and had the same view. This came in very handy with four teenagers! The location of the house on Isla Mujeres is also perfect! A 10 minute ride to the touristy downtown area, five minutes to an all inclusive resort, but secluded enough for our group to enjoy much privacy. The views from the house are also stunning. We enjoyed this home so much that we have already begun planning our next trip!"

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
