  • Perfection!

"My husband, our 2 Chihuahuas and I just left Hill Haven after a 2 day stay. I can not say enough good things about this place. It was spotless, every little detail is thought through. Top of the line appliances in a beautiful kitchen. Wall mounted TV's in both rooms. Remote control fans, AC a gorgeous bathroom with walk in shower. Honestly the pictures do not do it justice. Everything you could possibly want to do in Playa is minutes away. Lizardo and his family were very nice and friendly, we thoroughly enjoyed meeting them. The king size bed was heaven, quality linens and simply gorgeous décor and furnishes throughout. We will definitely be back."

  • Beautiful apartment, wonderful location

"We stayed here for a week and had such a wonderful time. The apartment is perfect, beautifully furnished and well equpit. We travelled with 9 month baby and she loved it. The shared pool is very nice and never too busy. There is tons of private space with a nice balcony and roof top, all with sea view. The location is lovely and peaceful but only a short walk from 5th avenue. We loved exploring the quiet end of 5th avenue and found some lovely restaurants. There is also a beach club 5 minute walk away which did great food. I can't recommend this apartment enough."

  • Perfect for us!

"Simple, beautiful, and had all necessary functionality. This place is a great place to base out of and really worked well for us, very safe, clean and provides easy access to the beach. We cooked meals about 50% of the time and ate elsewhere the rest. The walk is not bad either on the beach or road, no car was necessary as the taxis can be found with ease. We did a guided trip to Tulum, Coba and Cenotes, highly recommend going to Paco at Seven Days Snorkeling for setting up any trips as he will get you a very fair price with minimal negotiations. Be sure to ask him to arrange any of the sight seeing trips with guide and driver in a Suburban if your group is small enough because they can do it for the same price and it's just your group instead of being mixed in with a group. I could go on and on about our trip, fished two days with Alex on King Mackerel (Paco setup) and it was great times with 7 tries day one and 3 on day two. We only landed one Barracuda but we had chances. Overall, lovely time in a very nice place. Thank you for sharing."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
