  • Paradise only 4 hours away

"We've been going to Cancun, staying at Villas Marlin for about 20 years. Due to retirement, property sales, etc we've stayed at multiple different condos. This was by far the BEST! Aileen's condo was not only spacious (twice as much room as typical Villas Marlin), clean, and very comfortable, it was steps from the pool and the beach. My husband and I are in our early 50's and traveled with his parents who are in their late 70's. There was more than enough space for the 4 of us to "live" together for 2 weeks. The location couldn't be better. Cancun's best shopping is either across the street or 2 blocks away. Kukulcan Mall (right behind Villas Marlin) has a new grocery store that is awesome! A couple miles down the road (north) there is a high end grocery store that rivals the best gourmet stores in the states. There are multiple GREAT restaurants within walking distance. This is the first year we didn't rent a car and we never missed it. Make sure you go to Lima (literally across the street) and La Habituela (right next door to Lima). Best coconut shrimp is at Fish Fritanga (next door north of La Habituela). Aileen's condo afforded maximum spoilage at a bargain price. Ledy is simply the best. If I could take home one souvenir, it would have been her! She kept the condo absolutely spotless and even did our laundry! She offered to cook for us and while her English is somewhat limited, there was never any problem conversing with her. The poolside grill was awesome too-many days we'd skip lunch at the condo and just order guacamole and a pina colada for less than 7.00 US! The staff at Villas Marlin was always friendly and courteous. I felt like they welcomed us as though we were owners. Aileen was awesome to do business with. She was timely with her responses, great at answering questions, and even emailed to make sure we got in OK and to see if we were happy or if there was anything she could do for us. We will definitely be back, and we will definitely be renting from Aileen again. If you have a choice-rent this condo! You won't regret it!"

  • Awesome!

"I stayed in the Yin suite for a week. All information required to get to Casa Aquamarine was communicated effectively prior to arrival. I was met at the gate by Salvador, Manuela & Israel ( I hope I got their names correct..) and they showed me around. They are absolutely fantastic caretakers of the property & the guests, and really make you feel special. I wish I had employees as good.. The property is better than I expected... Absolutely top notch in every way...absolutely. Solimon Bay is a quiet stretch of beautiful beach, with enough snorkelling to keep oneslf amused. A restaurant down the beach to the right at Hotel Jashita was quite good, but perhaps a bit too refined for my tastes. Oscar Y Lalo out on the highway was a great restaurant, and I would head there before Jashita personally. I wish I owned such a piece of paradise."

  • Beautiful Best Vacation Location

"We were so very happy to stay at this excellently decorated and exceptionally clean home. The community is safe and beautifully landscaped. Karla meet us on arrival, and was extremely polite and gave us all the information we needed for places to go on Cozumel, which really enhanced our vacation time. We were more than satisfied with the opportunity to also dive with their Operation, Challenge Diving, and that was an exceptional treat. I would recommend this beautiful home to families and friends traveling together."

  • Simply Outstanding!

"I won't repeat what all the other reviewers have said, but simply let you view my videos and judge for yourself (links at end of review). This is not touristville, but real Mexico... beautiful, warm, safe, peaceful, rejuvenating, perfect... We went bone fishing. We went snorkeling. We went kayaking. We slept in. We read books. We took naps. We ate too much! The owners are great people, great communicators, and gave us more than promised. The caretakers were like family who knew enough to give you your space and privacy. We've been several times to Hawaii, to Florida, to Puerto Vallarta, to Cozumel, and as cliche' as it sounds, this truly was the best vacation we've ever had. These were just shot with my phone. Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
