  • Wonderful Place!

"What a gem this condo was for our latest vacation. We stayed 8 nights in this comfortable and clean 2 bd/2bath condo. Everything you need to stay a few days or several weeks is there for your use from water sports equipment, kayaks, BBQ and of course the incredible ocean views-right outside your door. Close to everything there is to do in the Yucatan and Quintana Roo areas from snorkeling, swimming cents, fishing, archeological sites to all the attractions (5 min away). Memo and Marcy were wonderful and friendly hosts and concerned that everything was "just perfect" for us. The condo comes with a daily cleaning service of Suemi and Ismael that extends beyond a "regular service". Whatever you need they were there to help. Renting a car to get around is so much easier and economical than taxi's. Highly recommend the condo for your next stay. We had a wonderful and enjoyable stay…."

  • What more could one ask?

"Everything about Casa de las Cupulas is well thought out. Located slightly off the beaten tourist path, the villa overlooks the Caribbean on the island of Isla Mujeres, a short ferry ride from Cancun, Mexico. The island itself is a quaint, friendly place with warm white beaches on one side and dramatic cliffs on the other where the Caribbean surf crashes constantly. The villa is located on the sparsely populated southern end of Isla within walking distance of the Mayan ruins on the southernmost tip. The elevated stone patio within the walls of Casa is an ideal place to sip coffee while watching the sun rise over the Caribbean. The architecture, furnishings, and decor of Casa de las Cupulas are beautiful, interesting and unique, creating an atmosphere of relaxation. The greatest feature of this place, however, is the service provided by David (the owner) and the staff. Amira, the cook/housekeeper, prepared wonderful dishes for us daily. Everything she served was made from scratch, including an endless supply of guacamole, pico, fresh squeezed orange juice and fresh fruit. Evening meals were works of art. I spoke to David daily and his advice about the island - what to do, where to go, who to call - was invaluable. I called him several times and he never missed answering his phone. I was with a party of ten, and the villa accomodated us generously without ever feeling crowded. To summarize, there are not enough stars to adequately rate the quality of Cas de las Cupulas."

  • We had a fantastic time in Puerto Adventuras111

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villa Del Mar! My wife and I are very familiar with the area having stayed in all-inclusive properties along the Mayan Riviera numerous times. This was our first tropical holiday in a condo setting and we really enjoyed how relaxed it was...not having to dress up for dinner, battle for restaurant reservations and run to the beach every morning to reserve a couple of chairs. The condo is very well equipped...we wanted for nothing! The beach in front of Villa Del Mar is by far the best on the bay. Talcum powder like white sand and crystal clear water add to the relaxation. Villa Del Mar staff and security are always available and willing to help in any way they can. We visited the restaurant and bar area in Puerto Adventuras quite regularly...be it for fresh pastries in the morning or an evening drink and dinner. Prices were very good and the service was as well. The local farmer's market on both Wednesday and Saturday allowed us to keep a fresh supply of fruits and vegetables on hand...prices on produce was insanely low! The Chedurai market just outside the gate was the perfect place to gather more substantial groceries, sundries and beer/wine. A taxi from the gate is the best option is you are getting more than just a few items. We spent a day in Playa del Carmen and treated ourselves to some shopping and a great meal...as I recall cab fare was only $20-$23 each way. Overall a great vacation...we will be back!!!!"

  • Feeling like the rich &famous

"Just returned last week after a week with family of 13 from 1-64. The best vacation ever. The house was immaculate. Everything we needed was there. Gaspar was there whenever we needed him. He helped us in every aspect of our trip from golf cart rental, excursions to cooking for us. We never had to leave the island. I would recommend this to all. Truly island paradise."

Quintana Roo Travel Tips

Quintana Roo has Perfect Beaches and Much More

The Mexican state of Quintana Roo is on the eastern part of Yucatán Peninsula. It is home to some of the best vacation areas in the country. Some visitors come seeking activity all day and dancing all night; others come for the tranquility of large beaches and warm seas. While the capital city of Quintana Roo is Chetumal, the state also includes Cancún, the islands of Cozumel, Isla Mujheres, and towns such as Bacalar, Felipe Carrillo Puerto and Playa del Carmen. Other places to visit are Puerto Juárez, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos. Remnants of the ancient Mayan civilization abound here, such as at Chaccbhoben, Coba, Kohunlich, Muyil, Tulum, Xel-Há, and Xcaret. And that is just a few! This is a large area, great for mixing relaxing on the beach with some water sports thrown in and day trips in an array of beautiful towns and ancient ruins.

Being geared to tourism, Quintana Roo is easy to explore and most people coming here take advantage of the many options to get around the area. Most choose to arrive via Cancún International Airport and many take a rental car option for maximum freedom to explore. Many choose Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals for the same reasons.

Beaches, Water Sports and Theme Parks Galore

Cancún, known as the Mexican Caribbean, sits on the Yucatán Channel and is a world-famous tourist location. Visitors here will enjoy some of the best beaches in the world with an exceptional amount of water sports, such as diving, swimming with dolphins and deep sea fishing. A short ferry ride takes visitors to the beautiful Isla Mujeres and one of the many attractions here is the incredible seafood! The island is a favorite for those who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving on the many coral reefs. Another major attraction here is the facility for the rescue and breeding of sea turtles. Cancún has great shopping and a variety of theme parks, such as Xplor, Xcaret Eco Park and Xel-Ha.

For those who find the lure of exploration, the Riviera Maya will be a great experience. People come here for the archaeological sites, such as Coba and Tulum.

The town of Bacalar sits on a lagoon of the same name. This beautiful town dates from the 16th century and has a fascinating history of piracy. The 17th-century Fortress de San Felipe Bacalar is now a wonderful tourist attraction.

Those seeking quieter Quintana Roo Mexico resorts have many options to choose from. Puerto Morelos, with its mangrove swamp, or Akumal, meaning "place of the turtles" would make great options. There are many smaller resorts that are less crowded but with equally wonderful beaches and shopping. They are also within close proximity to larger towns for more lively activities.

Archaeological Sites to See

No visit to Quintana Roo Mexico condos is complete without exploring some of the incredible ancient sites in this region. Visitors will enjoy heading into the jungle to visit these sites. Bonampak is famous for its graphic murals of human sacrifice! Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah are famous for the lush jungle, exotic birds and wildlife. Bring your bathing suit to Tulum, the "Walled City" where the beach is next to the site. Visitors can view the Fresco remnants before heading for a swim. Accessible by river via long boats is Yaxchilan. Deep in the Chiapas jungle, this site includes several Mayan ruins and is well worth a visit.

Make Your Vacation Perfect with the Perfect Accommodation

Visitors to Quintana Roo Mexico vacation rentals will find a huge variety of accommodation options available. Whether it is a spacious home in the heart of the city or a condo close to a quiet beach, you will find the perfect option. Rather than being bound to a room, these homes offer the space to relax and enjoy a welcoming environment. Homes are equipped with everything required to make a perfect vacation even better.
