  • Perfect Vacation House

"The house is nice and spacious. We stayed for 2 weeks. The kitchen was well equipped and the living room was great for watching movies. We enjoyed eating meals in the patio; it allowed our children to eat quickly and jump back in the pool or go to the beach. A wall divides the patio and the pool from the neighbors house which makes it a perfect size for the kids to swim and provides privacy. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The main bedroom has a nice balcony with a great ocean view (perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sun set). We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely rent this house in the future. :)"

  • Absolutely fantastic! A jewel!

"I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect house on Vrbo before I came here, it is so worth it! The moment I step into the house, it turn back the clock. It is an old colonial house with all the charms of old world Mexico, but all the amenities of the modern world. Hot water on demand, air conditioning in every room! Not to be fooled by the one bedroom house, it is extremely large. With an atrium in the middle of the house, and a fountain, it cools the house by a few degrees. I almost never use the a/c during the day, but the luxury when I want it. No stairs to climb either, everything is on one floor! The location is fantastic, just one block away parallel to the famous tree lined Paseo Montejo, there is no call for cab ride. A few blocks I am at Walmart and a few blocks south I am in the historical centro, with many fresh fruits and local foods, extremely inexpensive. The night scene in the centro is bustling with food stalls and free music, I spent a lot of time hopping from one plaza to another!! An easy bus ride, I am in Progresso and on the beach!! It was a dream vacation. Thanks to Mary the owner of the house and Neil, the property manager for assisting me and showed me all the ropes of getting to the best places. Maria"

  • Sun In The Morning And The Moon At Night

"This is a home for beach lovers Early morning coffee on the front deck. So very quiet and peaceful. Birds calling to each other, Pelicans dive bombing for breakfast..and Dolphins making a splash. Walk across the sand and wiggle your toes in the gulf wates...find sea glass and shells. After a glorious sunset wait for the moon and stars. If you ever need any help call Carlos. (he lives next door)...he has been the caretaker for many years. The owners are just an e-mail away. Miss Kitty (my older cat) and I have loved being here for 2 years. We hope to return after visiting our family in the states. Come and enjoy! We think you will love it too!"

  • Exceptional Property!

"Stunning home with all the amenities and walking distance from everything, your property is beautifully appointed. As there were 4 of us staying, we had all the privacy we could want and the space to enjoy. Even though we couldn't go anywhere on the one rainy day, the massive 5 meter x 3 meter projection screen and movie selections allowed us to stay warm, dry and cozy in what felt like our own private movie theater. A remarkable home. We'll be sure to stay again the next time we visit Merida. Thank you!"

El Cuyo Travel Tips

Pink Flamingos Near El Cuyo Vacation Rentals

Every summer, residents and visitors to El Cuyo can witness a unique sight. In Rio Lagartos national park, there is a mass migration every year between January and September. Those migrating are pink flamingos. Each year, an estimated 20,000 pink flamingos visit the national park, treating it like the local singles bar. In addition to helping keep the population of pink flamingos alive, this migration and mating season provides you with an opportunity to see these beautiful birds in the wild, rather than just in captivity in your local zoo. And El Cuyo villas give you a place to stay close to the park, so you can comfortably enjoy your visit to this paradise. Rio Lagartos Park is also the home of many sea turtles who visit the beach areas of the park between June and August to lay eggs. And, if you like bird watching, Rio Lagartos has more than 250 types of birds living in or visiting the park.

El Cuyo Villas are a Quiet Place to Vacation

Because El Cuyo has only 1,500 permanent residents, it is the perfect place for a quiet, romantic vacation. The sky outside of El Cuyo vacation rentals is beautiful. Because of the lack of light pollution, you can see millions of stars above your head at night. And, with the beautiful beaches which border both the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico, you have a perfect location for sunbathing, swimming, windsurfing, and sandcastle building.

Enjoy Yucatan Condos

Due to the small size of the town, there are few hotels in El Cuyo. Fortunately, you won’t need to worry about that, because when you rent a condo or house, you will have a place to stay where you can truly enjoy El Cuyo.
