  • It's all good!!

"This is my second stay in the Casa and I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Merida ever again. The location of the house is perfect - a few blocks away and you're in the heart of the historic district, yet when it's time to wind down, the house is so quiet. The house itself was designed so well - the kitchen has everything you could need, everything in the house works! The lighting and sound system is very cool, and there's a waterfall into the pool which is as soothing as life gets as you're sitting outside sipping a cocktail...I miss it already. As this house is connected with Luz en Yucatan, you have access to everything that the hotel guests have. Seeking advice about what to do, where to go, setting up a taxi pick-up or airport transportation, etc. The house is one block from the hotel - it's really a perfect situation with it's relationship to the hotel. Tom and Donard are the friendliest and most authentic hosts you could possibly imagine and they and their staff have created a culture that is very warm and "can do". If I could give 6 stars I would!!"

  • Casa Santa Ana

"This house was one of the best things about my trip to Merida.I came to have dental work done by one of the very competent dentists in the area (MUCH cheaper than in NY) as well as sightsee (I don't drive) and Casa Santa Ana was the perfect base, close to everything I wanted to do.For trips to the amazing ruins, I was able to join small guided tours, and the rest of the time I walked , took buses or taxis... The house itself is a dream..The front door opens to a really high-ceilinged room with beautiful tiled floors and a Nakashima dining table, and manages to retain a sophisticated Mexican feel while featuring the owner's eclectic, slightly bohemian furniture and art.Everything is done with taste and carefully curated, one has the impression of being a guest in a lovely home, not a "renter". I loved the coolness and quiet of the interior when coming in off the street, and of course, those dips in the pool under the blooming bouganvillea.I'll come back when I can."

  • Absolutely fantastic! A jewel!

"I spent a lot of time searching for the perfect house on Vrbo before I came here, it is so worth it! The moment I step into the house, it turn back the clock. It is an old colonial house with all the charms of old world Mexico, but all the amenities of the modern world. Hot water on demand, air conditioning in every room! Not to be fooled by the one bedroom house, it is extremely large. With an atrium in the middle of the house, and a fountain, it cools the house by a few degrees. I almost never use the a/c during the day, but the luxury when I want it. No stairs to climb either, everything is on one floor! The location is fantastic, just one block away parallel to the famous tree lined Paseo Montejo, there is no call for cab ride. A few blocks I am at Walmart and a few blocks south I am in the historical centro, with many fresh fruits and local foods, extremely inexpensive. The night scene in the centro is bustling with food stalls and free music, I spent a lot of time hopping from one plaza to another!! An easy bus ride, I am in Progresso and on the beach!! It was a dream vacation. Thanks to Mary the owner of the house and Neil, the property manager for assisting me and showed me all the ropes of getting to the best places. Maria"

  • Amazing authentic Hacienda

"What a magical place! We spent a dream like moment at Hacienda Dzibikak and would recommend it to any kind of group. Richard and Lena, the owners, have re-created an authentic hacienda--and added the comforts of the modern day. It is clean, friendly, extremely well maintained and you won't find more helpful or knowledgeable owners than these two. They will share their extensive knowledge of the area, and are very flexible when it comes to adapting the Hacienda to your personal needs. We had an amazing experience and encourage anyone to go."

Merida Travel Tips

Travel to the Familiar With Merida Vacation Rentals""

You don't always need the exotic. You don't always wish for the strange. Sometimes such things can be more exhausting than amusing, forcing you to trek into the wild, the unknown. And that's not the kind of holiday you want this year. You're longing to relax, to have all the attractions centered right where you are; allowing you the chance to worry less over distance and more over where you're actually going. And that's why Merida vacation rentals become the ultimate retreats.

""Discover the Beauty of Proximity With Merida Resorts'

You don't like the notion of having to drive everywhere. It's an expense, and a frustration, you just don't need. But it's an unfortunate truth that most destinations require you to travel mile after mile to find your goals. You won't find that in Merida. The White City (the name derives from the excess of limestone and paint, making it a sparkling escape) offers a multitude of shops, museums, galleries, and more, all within walking distance. You can find what you need without having to waste time in your car. Take a carriage ride through the Plaza Principal. Visit the unexpected French flavors of the Paseo de Montejo Boulevard, complete with elegant homes and old world charm. Or even wander through the local park festivals, enjoying artisans and their wares. It's a not to miss experience.

Yucatan Condos Offer Relief"

Of course, the luxury of walking is a mass appeal. Merida is visited by many each year, forcing you to share the streets. You can ease the burden, though, by renting a home for your trip. It's a practical way to complete your practical vacation. You already have everything in reach. Why ruin it by spending your evenings in a hotel? Who says holidays have to be difficult?
