A Tranquil Beach House,,,Una Casa de Playa Tranquilo
"If you are wanting relaxation, calm, and losing yourself on a quiet beach, this is the place to go. San Benito is off the grid, no clubs, mega resorts, or overcrowded clubs.I walked two hours in the morning and saw 5 people, it was wonderful. The house is designed to feel open and the ambience is what you want at the beach .The house is perfect for reading, laying in a hammock, and just listening to sounds of the beach. I really loved the floating bed it was the perfect place for an afternoon siesta. Barbara was very helpful in arranging for people to clean, cook, and they are close by. This is a comfortable house for a small group, and it provides the basic things for a restful vacation. Progresso is close by if you want to venture into town for dinner, or shopping.Local find: Margarita's 11km from the house, good food and wonderful beach restaurant. Ask Wilma, the next door neighbor when they come by for fresh fish to buy, right outside your door! I have been traveling to Mexico for over 35 years and this place is one of my favorites, Thanks again Barbara for sharing your home, espero contar con su presencia un dia, hasta entonces bien,, Esteban"

"Loved this place. The house is beautiful...its large, right on the beach and has all the comforts we were looking for (i.e. air conditioning, wifi and fully stocked kitchen.). But the one thing that I think made a difference was how much the owner Henry cared about our experience. He was in contact with us even before we left to make sure we were prepared for the trip. During our stay, the coffee maker went out and he quickly got us a replacement. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway."

"Casa Kaana has everything one needs for a relaxing, carefree holiday in Mexico. Large rooms and nice and airy. The focus of our stay was the outdoor area by the pool. As mentioned by others the pool area is private, easily accessible, clean and relaxing to loll around. BBQ was great. The location of the house, one row from the beach, is a very short distance to walk. The property manager, Joan, was excellent. Extremely helpful in not only the workings of the house but in informing us to happenings in the area. Wifi and use of the house cellphone were a bonus. This was our fourth stay in this area of Mexico and Casa Kaana was easily the best home we have stayed in.......everything was as advertised and all appliances worked."

"For years we have visited the Carribean through the eyes of the All Inclusive Resorts.
Tana Pepem, nestled in the village of El Cuyo, has changed the way we travel forever.
We spent a week of absolute relaxation, on a never ending white sand beach, in this beautiful ocean front villa. The villa was spotless and is so well designed that the absence of air conditioning was not missed. The ocean breeze flows freely through the screened patio doors and windows on the upper and lower floors, so it was never uncomfortable, even on the 32 degree days. The housekeepers Sara and Gabrielle were very attentive to our requests and the village tour that Sara took us on the day after we arrived introduced us to the grocery shopping options and restarants. We bought all our food in Cancun as we were not sure what was available there but you can purchase fresh fish and chicken in the village as well as some produce. Sara arranged a boat ride for us and we enjoyed seeing the shore and town from the ocean side. There was an excellent snorkelling reef, a tour through the fishing harbour and we stopped to visit a beach covered with many varieties of shells. Sara also assisted us in arranging to have a traditional Mexican meal prepared right in the Villa. We enjoyed learning how to prepare some wonderful Mexican dishes when Gabby and Betty arrived. If you are looking for a vacation that takes you back in time, away from the crowds, hustle and bustle of everyday life, but need to feel comfortable and safe, you will not be disappointed."
