  • Incredible!

"We rented both houses on the property and we were blown away with the entire grounds. Case Sisal is an architectural masterpiece, every detail feels thought out and is wonderfully maintained. The pool is gorgeous, just lying next to it looking out at the perfectly manicured lawn bordered by large palm trees, with the old chimney of the hacienda above the walls around the lawn was heaven. We celebrated our wedding at Hacienda Sac Chich and stayed at Casa Sisal, Cyndy and her staff were amazing. We cannot recommend it more, it was a wonderful experience."

  • Very nice!

"We stayed with my father. We have 3 kids, 8, 13, 14. It was a very nice place to stay with the owners being very friendly! The pool is very nice to cool off in if you don't want to run the 60 feet to the ocean. The ocean in front is very sandy and shelly so I would recommend wearing water shoes if planning on going in the water. You can walk a fair distance out because of the many sand bars making hills and valleys. You will not be able to see anything at all if you plan on snorkeling. The sunrise and sunset are both very beautiful and taking long walks on the beach is very relaxing as there are not many people around. I made friends with a yellow lab cross and she would come out with me every morning for a long walk. The town is very nice and laundry services are there. Bodega (grocery store) is also in town. If you need anything else, Merida has a Costco, Walmart, Sams club, etc. It has everything that a city should. We rented a car from Fox Rental in Cancun and drove out to the house. We arranged for the rental beforehand through Amex and when we went to pick it up, we were told that we had to buy insurance too. $50 doesn't sound too bad, until they tell you that is per day. We allowed them to put a hold on the credit card and then called the credit card company the next day to cancel the hold. I drove all the time and the only time I got frustrated was in Merida due to the high volume of traffic with narrow streets. There are also many roundabouts in Merida. If you have a good map it wouldn't be so bad. The owners of the house were extremely kind and really helped me out as we arrived later than my father. I appreciate everything they did for us and the only reason I would not recommend this, is so that it doesn't get too popular for us to reserve it again! There are many Mayan ruins around with one being 50 kms away. Lots to do and we did an overnight trip to the mayan Riviera side as well! My father is legally blind and the owners went out of their way to make sure he got to the house alright and to make sure I was notified when he got there! Thank you very much Wilma and Freddie. You have a beautiful property and we look forward to coming again!"

  • Great Villa in Great Location

"The villa was just like pictured on VRBO no surprises. The Wi-Fi was excellent. There is no central air but we didn't need it. The house was designed with air flow in mind and it was great. The Gonzalo and Olivia the caretakers were always on hand to help with whatever was needed. The owner Ana Patricia was amazing!! She went above and beyond for us, a little mishap with arrival times. She picked us up and took us shopping before going to the villa what a plus. she speaks excellent English and was so informative. The bottle of wine was such a nice added touch when we arrived. About Chicxulub. It is a small fishing village and when you read on trip advisor and else where that little English is spoken in the area they are not kidding. But we knew just enough to get by. The locals were so nice and always tried their best to help us. There was not a lot going on in the evenings. No bars or restaurant were open in the evenings and very few during the day. But it was a short ride to Progresso for those evening outings. If you are just wanting a very quiet, relaxing vacation this place is for you. We had a great time and would recommend to friends. Thanks Ana Patricia for sharing your home with us."

  • Quiet and relaxing holiday

"Our family of six had a very quiet and relaxing Christmas and New Years at the house. Everything was as the pictures show. The property manager was very helpful and attended promptly to any issue that occurred. We went to Chichen Itza to see the Mayan Ruins, went to Merida on Sunday to see the dancers and the market. We took a few more day trips to the surrounding area, but spent most of our time on the beach and at the pool. I already have recommended this property to a friend. I can still here the ocean waves and miss them very much. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for everything, it was our first trip to Mexico and it was very good. Sonja"
