  • Awesome place!

"Spacious and charming, the pictures can only hint at what a nice place it is. Spotlessly clean; nicely furnished with everything we could have wanted. All of the furniture is much nicer quality than usually seen in rental places; high quality beds & linens, hammocks are also provided if you prefer. The kitchen is also very well equipped, or you can walk a few blocks to a selection of restaurants The caretaker lives on property (in a separate house), and was attentive & helpful without being intrusive. All in all, a wonderful place to spend some time at the beach."

  • Great house and location

"Very comfortable house; pool and AC in bedrooms are key; great location in walking distance to main plaza and Montejo. Easy to find street parking for rental car. Helpful and responsive owner/assistant."

  • Gem in Merida

"This is a beautiful, modern, safe, clean, and spacious home. This home came well equipped and was tastefully decorated and has VERY comfortable beds and huge showers!! We stayed 19 days at this home and found it be to a true "home away from home", it lends itself to a very relaxing and calming atmosphere. The patios and pool are surrounded by very tall walls providing ultimate privacy and plenty of sunshine all day! The weather in Merida was about 30-38`c (April) everyday and the house was very comfortable with the ceiling fans and air conditioning. The house is situated perfectly in the centro and close to many restaurants, shops, bakery, grocery stores, and cafes (all within a comfortable walking distance!!) Merida is a beautiful and charming colonial city, we did many day trips to Progreso, Celestun, and Mayapan Mayan Ruins and the Cenotes. I would highly recommend this home to my family and friends, it was easily accessible from Cancun thanks to the ADO bus system. A special thanks to Alan from the property management company who greeted us at the home, promptly assisted us with any questions throughout the trip, and for helping us arrange a private chef for authentic Mexican cuisine."

  • Outstanding.....

"First off this is the first time I have bothered to review a holiday accomodation and secondly I am not entirely sure I want to share this gem with anyone else. But in the spirit in which we were received by the most gracious hosts of Casa Sisal I feel duty bound to take the time to give credit where it is due. The property itself is of course stunning. Look at the pictures. It does not disappoint in the flesh and nor is it photographed omitting noisy neighbours or ugly views. Secluded, subtle and an oasis of peaceful calm. Most previous reviews mention the fireflies on the lawn of an evening. I now understand why. Impossible to put into words or indeed film or photograph. What most don't mention is the incredible calm of early morning there. Very special. Good architectural fore thought meant my family of five 'lived' easily in this space. The space works very well. Location wise very convenient for Merida and the week barely gave us time to scratch the surface of all the sites within day trip distance. The Hacienda itself is of course stunning and a great contrast to the clean lines of Casa Sisal. Utterly genuine honest hosts who are as enthused by the houses as we were. A rare find and a true 'keeper'."
