  • Really can't get much better than this!

"Such a great place to stay, and everyone in our group of 8 enjoyed it immensely. Kudos to the owners, and property managers, who were extremely attentive, responsive and easy to communicate with. Special thanks to Vanessa who met us at car rental upon arrival, and also was generous enough to help load her car with the majority of our luggage and drove to the ferry pier with us when we were leaving. Was especially nice to be able to utilize their service to have the villa stocked with groceries and beverages upon arriving as we didn't want to have to spend precious vacation time shopping for groceries. House is impeccably clean, very well appointed, and ocean front. Every night we all made a point to sit and watch the spectacular sunsets on the lounge chairs right outside your door. Was especially convenient for the two divers in our group as we arranged diving through them, and was able to be picked up right at the dock out front! Great snorkeling right in front of the villa as well. I'd definitely stay here again without hesitation, and we look forward to returning next year!"

  • Casa Perla del Mar is BEAUTIFUL!!!

"This house is beautiful!! The layout of the house was perfect for 4 couples. We stayed for one week and spent days at the Tulum Ruins (20 min away), Chichen Itza (2.5 hours away), Playa del Carmen (30 min away) and Xplor (30 Min away). The rest of the days were perfect to just relax by the pool and walk along the beach. Italy and Elias cooked us 3 wonderful meals. It was so nice to not have to worry about cooking dinner and trying something new. I definitely recommend the vegetarian chile rellano and the flan was the best I had ever had. The only part of the trip the was disappointing was the dive / snorkel place down the road from the house - Casa Cenote. The guide ended up being different than who the reservation was with, so the snorkel trip ended up being different than originally booked (at a beach further away, which we drove to with the guide in our car) and they charged us more than originally agreed on. Wasnt a total bust, but was not as great as they said it would be. Some key points about the house - Neighborhood - very quiet and always felt safe. Nearby Food - Blue Sky Pizza restaurant was wonderful with great service, not expensive. Pool and outside areas - absolutely beautiful - pool water was a little chilly in October. Wifi - never had an issue - always worked. Location - not far from Tulum city center and perfect if you dont like the chaos of Cancun and all the tourists. 2 kitchens - came in handy often, one for cooking and one for making margaritas. Road from main highway to house - a little bumpy - but gave us a lot of laughs - Haha:) We have rented a few vacation homes before, but I have to say this one was the most beautiful and relaxing. Victor, the owner, was extremely helpful while booking and arranging our trip. The wealth of information / travel tips he provides was wonderful. He obviously cares for his home and the renters he graciously opens his home to. We hope to return to Tulum and Casa Perla del Mar with our kids in the near future. Thank you Victor, Italy and Elias!!! We had an amazing vacation!!!"

  • Our new travelling destination!!

"My wife & I rented Ryan's place for a week. We wanted to try something different than going to an all inclusive resort setting. Wow!!...did we make the right choice and have vowed never to go all inclusive again after our Mexican holiday experience. We rented a car for this trip. I did some research prior to renting and I can assure you a lot of the negative hype about renting in a foreign is just that...hype. Follow the rules and you will be just fine. Everything about the property was amazing. The sites the sounds the simplicity of it all. The property is close to everything. A grocery store across the street, all the fun and activities for R&R is within 5-45 minutes drive. The TO-DO book at the property identified several places to check out and we did. The Pizza joint just down the street had the best shrimp we had ever tasted to date and at far more reasonable prices than eating at Play De Carmen. We also checked out a local watering hole for all you can eat fish soup and such. The locals were great and we had an awesome time taking in the stories and company of the new local friends we had made. The most beautiful beach is only 1km away from the house. We went there several times during our stay. During our time of playing in the sand and jumping the waves we could count the number of other people we saw there on one hand. This is truly a place that has not been advertised to the rest of the world and a place that is breath taking. My wife & I plan to re-new our vows on that beach. It is a bit or paradise that means so much to us. There was a family staying on the main floor while we were there. They were extremely friendly and are frequent renters. We were blessed to have them share with us the other sites we should visit. We checked out the ruins in Coba and the Cenote just 5 minutes away. We plan to go back every year and suggest if you want an authentic Mexican holiday to try this type of travel. You will not be disappointed and will have new memories to share with friends and family to last a life time. A little place my wife & I call "HEAVEN".."

  • Amazing authentic Hacienda

"What a magical place! We spent a dream like moment at Hacienda Dzibikak and would recommend it to any kind of group. Richard and Lena, the owners, have re-created an authentic hacienda--and added the comforts of the modern day. It is clean, friendly, extremely well maintained and you won't find more helpful or knowledgeable owners than these two. They will share their extensive knowledge of the area, and are very flexible when it comes to adapting the Hacienda to your personal needs. We had an amazing experience and encourage anyone to go."

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
