  • Loved this Place!

"I just wanted to thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We had a wonderful family holiday. The kids absolutely loved the pool and the beach. They also really enjoyed playing in the fenced yard area. The adults loved the shady poolside lounge chairs. Alex and Jose were always very helpful. We had Alex's wife cook for us 4 nights and it was a real treat. We thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Mexican food. This will be a holiday we will remember fondly!!"

  • Loved Casa Phoenix

"Eight of us just returned from a week in Cozumel and had an amazing time. This was our 5th trip to Cozumel, but first time staying at Casa Phoenix. If you enjoy being in town with quick access to town and eating places, the location cannot be beat. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom, which were clean and spacious!! You have all the kitchen amenities you need. Most importantly, a coffee pot, blender and ice maker in freezer. :) The view from the balcony is amazing. We loved drinking coffee in the morning watching the cruise ships come in, relaxing in the hot tub and watching the beautiful Cozumel sunsets at night. The pool area was awesome. We went on a sailboat and were dropped off at the small pier right outside the condo. There is a grocery store across the street and town/many good restaurants are a short walk away!! Do not hesitate booking Casa Phoenix. You will not be disappointed!!"

  • Another Wonderful Stay!

"We have stayed multiple times in this condo and we come coming back because of the location and wonderful service provided. The condo is centrally located and everything is within a short walking distance (restaurants, clubs, shopping) Walmart is only 2 blocks away and the beautiful beach is only 3 blocks away! The condo is very spacious, comfortable and fully equipped. The management team is fast and attentive, especially Maria, who went out of her way for us. There's a reason we keep coming back to Oltreoceano and it's because it has everything you could need or want! We will definitely be booking again! Highly recommended!"

  • First Impressions

"We just checked in and I wanted to share our first impressions. The condo is lovely, exactly as pictured. It does sleep eight, three of the bedrooms have private baths - quite a luxury. The baths are lovely even by US standards. One of the beds is actually kind of in an opening down the hallway - no privacy and that person needs to be the first to wake up because it is right next to the kitchen. There is even a bath for that room. The views, the property are all beautiful. There is a grill by the beach so we look forward to doing some cooking and eating outside. We had a very friendly greeting upon arrival. The negatives so far are that the treadmills aren't working, a big disappointment to some in our group who got up early in the first day to exercise. If there is a hot tub, it doesn't work - also disappointing for our crew who went to find it in their suits on the first night. Only the master bedroom has curtains, which our college kids on break are not happy about because they were hoping to catch up on sleep. A lot of VRBOs have games for people to play while they stay there and we have only seen a deck of cards. These are the things we love to know ahead of time so we can pack/plan accordingly. We have already talked to Alex who seems very responsive and we trust will help us with any issues in our condo. This spot is lovely, our divers are excited to head out tomorrow and we are sure to enjoy a week in paradise."

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
