  • Casa Cascada offers so much more than just a beautiful home in Cozumel

"This was the 2nd time in three years that my wife and I have enjoyed the beautiful residence that is Casa Cascada. Aside from the beautiful home and pristine pool, the house is located in the perfect place... walking distance to the Chedrui (grocery store and theatre), downtown, and all the fun of the Corpus Christi neighborhood. We always rent a scooter to get around (as we like to travel to the other side of the island), but folks could easily do without a rental car using taxis (cheap!0 and walking. Excellent home, excellent vacation! Visit Las Tortugas restaurant, only a few blocks from the home! Tell Xavier we said hello!"

  • Perfect and private on the beautiful Bahia Solima

"Our family spent 8 wonderful days with Nah Yaxche as our home near Tulum. The pictures of this home, do not compare to it's true beauty. For a wonderful experience, just 15 minutes from the heart of Tulum, Nah Yaxche offered a private home setting with the beach mere steps from the house. The home is one with its environment, allowing the sea breeze to come in through the many screened windows and doors. Beautifully decorated with native textiles. The beach cabana, hammocks lounge chairs and kayaks provided hours of relaxation. The bay provides a calm setting for watching the sun and moon rise. Flor and Obdulio, the caretakers, tended to the house everyday, allowing for us to not worry about cleaning. Flor is also available to cook a fantastic traditional meal. You can walk to a high end boutique hotel, Jashita, at one end of the bay for a gourmet meal. Or find the fabulous "fish shack" on the other end of the bay for the best ceviche amid the sand and palm trees. Hope to return to this wonderful place."

  • Wonderful condo, clean, direct access to pool and beach

"We loved this condo. It was bright, spacious, very clean, and had lots of drinking water, towels, etc. There is a stairwell from the balcony that gives you direct access to the pool and the beach, which is very convenient. Two big bedrooms and a wonderful communal living room and dining room/kitchen space plus three bathrooms. Washer and dryer on site. There is also a wonderful coffee shop about two blocks from the condo for baked goods and espresso drinks. Tamara was very responsive and we felt very well taken care of. We would highly recommend it. Also not too far from Talum, Playa del Carmen, etc."

  • Serendipity

"Words are hard to describe the serenity, peace and relaxation you feel at Casa Milagro. From the beauty outdoors around the pool, to the fragrance the plants emit in the evening is sublime. The rooftop at sunrise & sunset listening to the birds sing of the beauty around is superb. We were greeted by many animals while outside in the evening also, from a family of racoons, a number of cats(the owner leaves food & we bought more), a few agouti and many birds. Now onto inside the house, as the other guests have mentioned, no thing is left unattended. The maids, gardener/pool man take care of everything. Have Chef Lynn Marie cook you a fabulous meal, I enjoyed mine on my birthday. Paty picked up some starter items so we'd have breakfast items on hand and there were some cold beers in the fridge to enjoy our first dip in the pool with. Comfort is top notch to allow yourself to ease into vacation mode. Kitchen had all you could ask for and more. Layout of home for privacy is exceptional, as well as, the decor, lighting, and attention to details...bikes, sun chairs, snorkel gear, etc. We enjoyed the nearby Mayan ruins, it was always cool, comfortable and splendid there with a noble sense and majestic feel, lofty, awe-inspiring. Walking was good for us and we are happy that Casa Milagro is close to everything, yet set back from the hustle and bustle on a not through street on a quiet cul de sac. All we would like to add is that the owner provide an instruction book for the many items around the house so others may not have to contact Paty as much as we did. :)"

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
