A perfect stay
"Well, you do deserve a 5 stars! I travelled a lot and I am a difficult person to get by... Love to have some for my money... But it was perfect! I had problem with the internet and they took care of it. They make sure you are satisfied!!! It's true, you are at a 5 minutes walking to a very quiet beach. Much more quiet that Playa del Carmen because you are in a gated community!!! In the morning, you can swin in a olympic size swimming pool then go walking on the beach after a good breakfast done in that nice kitchen. Get some roasted chicken in town (10 min) and have lunch... relaxe by the pool in the afternoon and you can get to a good restaurant in the evening and come back on foot with no problem! Damn, is that place for sale??? :o)... I when with my Standard Poodle and she like it a lot also but trust me, she stayed inside... too hot outside... Seriously, I do recommend it! Rent it and have fun!!! L."

"My husband and I, two active seniors, spent a lovely month at Casa Alux in Merida. We couldn't have been happier with the accommodations and with the assistance we received from Stewart and Jesus. Their suggestions for everything from where to eat to excursions out of town were much appreciated. Even more appreciated was their help with printing and scanning some important documents while we were there. Casa Alux is a nice walk from most activities and sites in Merida and there are always taxis available if you prefer. A safe, friendly, home away from home."

"We stayed at Casa Soleada for 6 days in June/July 2015. We spent a total of 11 days in Mexico. The first six days were at Casa Soleada and the rest were in Cancun at an all inclusive resort. Loved our days at the casa! Casa Soleada is a perfect base for exploring the Mayan ruins. We visited the Tulum ruins, the Coba ruins, the Muyil ruins, and several cenotes in the area. We had Edith cook several dinners for us. Loved the meals and the salsa and guacamole EVERY night! This casa is right on the beach. Not really a good swimming beach, but a GREAT snorkeling beach. Down 2 lots to the south, there is some amazing sea life only 100 feet off the beach, maybe 4 feet deep! Truly amazing! You can also kayak out to the reef if you like. We are a family of five (kids 18, 16, and 15). We brought along grandpa. He doesn't get in the water, but he spent HOURS sitting on the back deck area and just watched the waves! So relaxing. Kids loved the hammock chairs on the back porch too! If we ever head back to Mexico, Casa Soleada will be our first choice in places to stay. Thank you for making our vacation so wonderful!"

"My family stayed for 3 nights at Sac Chich in March, and had a wonderful time. My wife and 4 kids (13,11,9,6) spent a lot of time at the pool, and the owners' dog Eva came over and played one afternoon (which was a huge hit with the kids). The grounds were beautiful, the building was unlike anywhere we stayed before, and it was almost more beautiful at night than during the day. The owners were staying at Casa Sisal next door, and we walked up one morning to check that out as well (very modern, very sleek, a great vacation rental as well). We'd stayed in Merida for a few days before this, so to have all of this open space was a real treat for the kids. We had the staff make breakfasts and dinners for us, and the food was REALLY good, and the "girls" (as Cyndy called them) were very friendly and helpful (it was fun testing our Spanish with them). All in all, we had a great stay, and were very sad leaving our hacienda."
