  • Paradise

"Welcome to paradise. You couldn't ask for a more comfortable, beautiful place to stay. You can just relax and never leave the property, or you can go into town and rent bikes, SUP etc. or you can find great places to snorkel. Lots of beach to walk. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped so that you don't have to eat out. We are already talking about going back."

  • Excellent place to stay!

"We had a group of 15 people from 3 different families and we could not have asked for a better property to accommodate us! Our group has been to Isla Mujeres before and while we have always had great accommodations, this rental tops them all! Each family was able to have their own space since we rented the Villa and both Casitas. The buildings were spacious, comfortable and well stocked with whatever you needed to make your own meals. Our group even encountered a rainy day but with the size of the Villa we were all able to be inside together without feeling cramped. There were even games to keep our kids occupied and off of their electronics. The pool area was great! Even with all of the kids we had along, there was plenty of room for everyone both in the pool and around. You were able to sit in the sun or in the shade with plenty of chairs for everyone. The kids also enjoyed being able to go across the street and look for shells on the beach. The property is well maintained both inside and out. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to not have any shortage of bathrooms. One of the things I miss most is the view of the Caribbean...it is stunning from the master bedrooms! I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be renting there again!"

  • It doesn't get any better!

"Our great experience started from the moment we stepped in to Casa de Jacobi. We were instantly drawn to the beautiful view from the deck of the resort pool, the beach, the bay and the city of Puerto Vallarta in the distance. It was breathtaking and we never tired of the ever changing view. We spent enjoyable days on the beach or around the pool. The resort did a great job of keeping the fun going around the pool. The beach was amazing, clean and well cared for. I walked a lot along the beach and believe the best was found right there in front of us. We found getting around the city was quite easy by bus or by taxi, but we enjoyed the bus the most. Everything we needed or wanted was within a 10 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride, including the grocery store, great restaurants, Old Town, the Malecon and the Marina. We planned tours with Vallarta Adventures and each one proved to be far more fun and better than we ever expected. We found the staff at Sea River Tower to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We ate out most evenings and found some amazing restaurants, Victor's at the Marina, drinks at the Marina in the Lighthouse, PiPi's close to the Malecon to name a few. We realized how lucky we were to have chosen Kristine and Tom's condo, it is beautiful, well stocked, clean, peaceful and in an amazing location. We found Kristine to be extremely helpful and responsive to our needs and questions. We would not hesitate to return to Casa de Jacobi. It really doesn't get better than this!!!! Thank-you so much for sharing your beautiful condo and for your hospitality!"

  • 2 month stay!

"It was very good and what we expected it to be. We were happy with the managers, Kim and Mike Peters, with our cleaning lady Patty. She did an awesome job every week! We spent time going on tours - our favorite was the Durango tour - beautiful scenery. Also if you have not been to Mazatlán before, go on the city tour early in your stay to become orientated. We went on several tours both through Vista Tours and King David Tours - both good. We loved golfing at Marina Golf 1/2 hour walk or short cab ride. (18 holes) Lots of great restaurants- good ribs at Roy's for less than $10 on Sun. night. The restaurant here can't be beat for breakfasts and lunches for economical, for taste, and for great service. We liked Mary's if you hunger for good old American food like Belguim waffles with fresh strawberries. The condo has a list of lots of good ones and we were never disappointed. It's easy to go to the grocery stores too, Mega, Sorianos and Walmart. Can go to all by the bus - you can go anywhere almost by the bus. Very handy and economical. We also got involved with helping the poorer people of Mazatlán through LaVina or Vineyard church a little over a block south of Dairy Queen in the golden zone. To get an idea of their ministry and to see what the other side of Mazatlán is like, be at the church any Tues. or Thurs. morning at 9am. It's called the dump tour. You help make sandwiches and bottle some water for the people who make their living savaging in the dump and many live there too. You drive through the poorer areas and also bring food to children. It's a great experience. You'll be back around 12:30. Beach walking couldn't be better. We missed not having American network tv stations. We did have ESPN. Some units have it down in Mazatlán The Dvd player didn't work. A new one is in the condo now, but not hooked up yet, but I bet it will be by the time you arrive here. Any questions or concerns were promptly addressed. All in all a very good stay and 2 months was not too long!"

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
