  • Our 2nd stay

"My wife and I stayed here for our second time. The area has really developed and I love the location. We rented a car and we drive to Tulum nearly every day and the location is easy to get in and out of without having to go thru a lot of traffic. The condo has everything we as a couple could ask for and everything worked great. The condo and the Haab complex is clean and well maintained with great security. I have stayed in many penthouse condos in Playa and this rooftop area is by far the most private. If you are searching for a nice condo that is well secured, maintained and is a great value with the added bonus of a rooftop, I recommend this one."

  • Wonderful private getaway!

"We were participating in the Cozumel Ironman event this year and wanted to be away from the chaos of "event central". This condo was perfect! The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking (critical to athletes needing to stay healthy). There were multiple bottles of potable drinking water available. Rooms were spacious and clean. The view provides a great way to relax. Fulvio, the local property manager is extremely responsive and the housekeeping crew is efficient and polite. This unit provided us everything we needed to participate in the event yet not get caught up in all the pre-event stress and drama. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would consider renting it again."

  • Fabulous Property!!!

"We stayed very comfortably for a week at this lovely condo and never got tired of the views we got to wake up to. The weather was hot so we spent alot of time relaxing on the resort loungers on the beach where the breeze kept us cool. From there we would just wade out into that gorgeous turquoise water to hang out and chat while the kids played nearby. The resort staff were friendly, fun and helpful; they got us set up with tons of towels everyday and fins for snorkeling at Akumal, a nearby town, where they take their turtle conservation very seriously. We also traveled down to tour the ruins and town at Tulum which is an easy hop from the condo as well! We walked into town and had some really nice dinners in Playa every night of our stay. The condo was well set up to cook in which we did for breakfasts and lunch; there are many large grocery stores in town or street vendors with food carts which was all really convienent. The kids had a blast playing beach volleyball at the resort and pool games with other guests; everyone seemed to be enjoying their holiday at Fishermans! We certainly did and would highly recommend the condo and resort to anyone considering staying in the area."

  • Cozumel Paradise

"We couldn't been happier or more satisfied with the accommodation's at Tango Del Mar. What you see is what you get. The house is beautiful, each bedroom has its own bath, kitchen meets any needs you may have and views from the upstairs lanai are breathtaking. The grounds are well maintained, the pool is refreshing, a perfect place to laze the day away. The beach views are exquisite with sunsets that you never tire of and with the pier on site, snorkeling and diving excursions are just a few feet away. The owners were so helpful in answering any questions and gave suggestions for wonderful places to eat and sights to see. I have recommended this property to my friends and family. Paradise Beach was a fun delight just a mile from Tango Del Mar and the Money Bar was a great place to eat and enjoy the outdoor atmosphere with live music, all within a few miles of Costa Del Sol Resort. Taxi's are readily available but I would suggest getting a rental car for convenience and ability to tour the island in its entirety. We can't wait to go back and soak up more of the Cozumel magic."

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
