  • 2nd Time Stay

"It's the 2nd time I've stayed at this condo and both experiences have been great. It's very cozy and has all you might need for your stay. No car was needed since everything is walking distance. I plan on staying here again and would recommend it to anyone"

  • Great property, relaxing time, well maintained

"Great location between Tulum and Playa Carmen. Lots of dining options in the area. Reasonable beach very close by. Good safe gated community. Great place to visit with kids. Pool is right outside the condo. The condo is well maintained. Has all the modern amenities you would expect. Good value for the money. Owner is very helpful, answers questions promptly and will explain area very well. Overall, a good vacation spot. Have rented several vrbo, homeaway, airbnb places before and this is one of our favorites."

  • Perfect!

"My husband, my two young daughters (ages 7 and 3) and I stayed for a week at this wonderful condo. We loved Tulum and all there is to see around the area. As others have mention, you feel very safe staying at this villa. It has everything you need - easy parking, beautiful and quiet pool, beach and bath towels, washer and dryer, well equipped kitchen, sand and pool toys, reliable Wifi... We had a rental car and were glad we did as it is a bit of a walk or bike ride into town and quite a bit farther to get to the beach. It was not a big deal at all to drive and park in town or the beach area but just a heads up!"

  • A little piece of heaven

"We stayed at Mike and Peggy's condo in Akumal from 12/27/14- 01/03/15. We have rented several times through VRBO and have always had great luck, but Peggy was the most thorough owner we have ever rented through. She provides such wonderful information, we really had a good idea of what we wanted to do and see before we even arrived. The snorkeling off the beach in half moon bay was incredible. My 14 year old son met another 14 year old from Sweden and they spent endless hours snorkeling the reef and playing in the pools. We went to Yal- Ku lagoon too, but we really didn't need to. My 12 year old love "hanging out" on the hammock by the pool. We snorkeled in Akumal Bay and saw numerous sea turtles. That was an amazing experience. The condo was beautiful and clean. There is a TV but only for videos, which was only an issue for my 12 year old who tends to like some down time out of the sun. There are so many great things to do in the area you don't need a TV. The condo is located at the far end of the road which is very bumpy and has lots of Topes (speed bumps) which was a little rough with our rental car but I liked the secluded/private spot. It felt very safe and the property management people and Silvia were extremely helpful and flexible with our schedules. The weather was beautiful and we hope to return to this little piece of heaven."

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
