  • Los Cocos Paradise in Isla Holbox

"We spent a wonderful week there. The cabana had a wonderful kitchen with all cooking needs along with spices. The bed was very comfortable with a mosquito net. It had indoor and outdoor showers. Our favorite place was the outside big screened room. The two bicycles were fun and very big help for visiting island. We also enjoyed the two kayaks, waving on the waves and see the island from the sea. There are many good restaurants and small shops. Islanders are very friendly and helpful."

  • Nice place

"We spent a week down in Cancun over Easter break. It was nice. The weather was perfect, the pool was clean and nice and the condo was very functional. The beach was nice, but there was not much of a real swimming area, the water is like knee deep, and there was lots of seaweed. There were some issues with the nightly noise. The party boat, The Dancer, came in at 10 PM, went back out at 12 and back in at 3:00 am. It was a floating nightclub! It was extremely loud and disrupted every night for us. Lucky our baby slept through it. There were other people visiting as well, and everyone had the same feelings about the Dancer. Some of the residents that spend months down there were used to it, but for us, it was a rude awakening. Because of this, we needed to keep our windows and doors closed at night, and led to a $60 electric bill at the end of the week that was unexpected. I was also a little upset about paying a $20 paypal fee to get my deposit back. There are other outlets to use for free. We really did have a great time, and the beach was safe, and quiet during the day. The local food around was cheap and good, and the buses come every two minutes right outside the condo. Nancy, Laura and Reuben were great to deal with, but I wanted to bring the attention of the noise up, it was a real annoyance."

  • Pure Paradise!

"This a fabulous condo! The condo is clean and well maintained. The location is far enough from town so you feel like you are in your own private paradise, but close enough to town that you can easily walk to shopping and restaurants. We have rented 8 of the available units at this condo complex during previous visits and this our favorite! The jacuzzi in the master bedroom is a great feature and we love the 2nd floor condo location. It's super easy to get luggage in and out of the unit and the balcony is offers the perfect view of the cruise ships passing by. The condo owner is trustworthy and easy to work with, the key was available when we got there and we didn't have any issues with the condo. We will absolutely rent again!"

  • Very nice condo

"My husband and I rented the condo for 5 days. We were very impressed with the quick responses from the owner and manager in setting up the rental. The condo is comfortable, spacious and nicely updated. We appreciated the cable tv and played the music channels. The wi-fi worked great. The kitchen was equipped with the basic things you need to cook meals. It has a nice ambiance outside at the pool area with chair loungers and nice landscaping. It's very quiet and peaceful except for the occasional golfers teeing off. The pool was area was typically empty. The condo's location is close to 5th Av. and the beach via the Reef Resort. The Reef has a great beach and two nice pools. We got there each day at 9 am and always got two chairs on the beach, although we could never get an umbrella. We brought our own snacks, water and beer with us and discreetly drank it in insulated mugs. We made our own breakfasts and lunches and walked into town in the evenings for dinner. Claudine, the local manager, was wonderful and so accommodating. She met us when we first arrived and offered to bring us to the grocery store. She was always quick to return my calls and emails. Our favorite restaurant turned out to be a wonderful little Italian place she told us about called Casa Sofia. I would recommend this lovely condo to anyone! We will definitely consider staying here again. Thanks Gordon and Claudine!!!!"

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
