  • Fantastic Condo

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo mid-July 2014. Cozumel was wonderful and the condo was the absolute perfect combination of peace and quiet located next to fun activities for the kids (and adults). Victor and Elena were fabulous. Elena kept the place spic-n-span while we were there. Victor was helpful from the time we landed til the time we left. (We got a parking ticket one night. I guess we were that hungry on that particular night that we didn't notice the parking signage.) Victor even took care of that for us. Top notch local information was provided by the owner and Victor before and during our stay. Their recommendation for a fishing guide was also wonderful. They guys had a great day on the boat while Mom went to the spa next door. The Condo Resort was very clean and all the property workers and security workers were friendly and helpful. I'll mention again that the resort was very quiet and peaceful."

  • Condo's in Paradise!

"My wife and I decided to go to Cozumel for our 20th anniversary and bring some friends to celebrate. I contacted Bob about his double condo building on the beach and so glad I did. Not only was he very quick to respond and easy to work with on dates, he sent great information on places to eat and things to do on the Island. We stayed for 10 days at the condo's and had a wonderful time. The on-site managers were there to greet us and see us off and available for anything we needed. The condo's sit directly on the beach, no need to load up to go anywhere. I snorkeled out front of the condo's every day we were there and saw great marine life. Lobsters, rays, tons of fish, it was great! The water is crystal clear and you can swim for hours and never feel like you've seen the same thing twice. Close to town and beach clubs, this location was perfect for us. The grounds were maintained every day, the pool was sparkling (although we never used it lol) and the location easy to find day or night. We felt very safe there and never thought twice about going out snorkeling and leaving our condo unlocked. A great place to stay, and great people to rent from. We will for sure repeat this trip, and this rental!"

  • Perfect spot, Perfect vacation

"It is the morning of our last day here and we are so sad to think of leaving. We have loved every minute at Casa de Serenidad. We have explored most areas of the island and think this is the perfect spot! The house was just the right size and well equipped. The setting is amazing. We loved how the house opens up to the outside and the wrap around terraces. The breeze was fantastic and always welcome after returning from North Beach where there is little breeze. When we were here, the beach out back was perfect for exploring and swimming. Our kids loved it and so did we. We loved having the B&B, Villa la Bella next door too because at night we would go over and grab a margarita or mojito. We think the location, just a short golf cart ride outside of town, is perfect. When you want some action, it is only a few minutes away but you also enjoy the peaceful and private setting of Casa de Serenidad. There are also some great restaurants very close by that we thoroughly enjoyed. Bernadette and Phil were quick to reply to all of our questions and their caretakers here on the island were wonderful. They stopped by everyday to see if we needed anything. I really can't say enough about just how perfect this vacation has been. The pictures don't do this home justice. It is lovely. Thank you Bernadette and Phil for a vacation our family will always remember!"

"The condo was exactly as described and well located on the island, about 5 miles from town. The beach area was really nice/private and quiet and the snorkeling right outside the condo is great. The pool area was also very nice and quiet. We made use of the bicycles to get to town and for excercize and the old road that runs by the condo and half way around the island is fantastic since it is mostly restricted to bikes with very little traffic. The floorplan and furnishings worked great for our group of 2 couples and 2 singles. We did a refresher dive course and experienced AMAZING scenery below the water. I highly recommend Phocea dive shop. The staff we met (Guadalupe the housekeeper and Alex) were super nice and helpful. We loved Wet Wendy's for salsa dancing with a great band on Wednesday night, and the sunset happy hour at The Money Bar was awesome (good mojitos). Hope to get back to Cozumel soon for more diving and would stay at Paradise 2B again."

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
