  • Perfect beach vacation spot

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Absolutely most awesome location! Just above the beach sand, looking out on ocean and beach with no obstacles. Didn't even know there were buildings of condos behind you. Free good alternating styles of live music from Zenzi enjoyed out on the patio with cocktails and dinner. Pool would get very warm like a bathtub in afternoon, but we kept the whirlpool temp cool...very refreshing and enjoyable. Condo clean and well equipped. Property management people checked in regularly and prompted addressed any issues we had."

  • Awesome Cozumel Condo

"Our family of 4 just returned from a week-long stay at this beautiful and very spacious beach front condo for the Ford Ironman Cozumel. The location right along the bike course for the Ironman, was perfect…away from the touristy area of the island and cruise ship crowds, but an easy drive back to the action, on a gorgeous stretch of uncrowded, palm tree lined beach and literally two steps to the beach chairs, or the nearby swimming pools. I even donned a snorkel mask one afternoon and snorkeled right off the beach and saw a jelly fish, a ray and many fish. The patio was perfect for relaxing or doing homework for our daughters. The condo is beautifully decorated and squeaky clean, with a very nice compliment of kitchenware and paper supplies. Many things were provided that we have not typically found in other condos we have rented in the past, such as garbage bags, paper towels, dish & laundry soap, food staples, etc. Patsy had a beautiful welcome basket waiting for us with a bottle of wine and other lovely treats including fresh fruit. We especially loved the beach towels and beach bags, and a collection of straw hats provided in the master bedroom for guests to use was a very nice touch. The master bed and bedding was very comfortable and going to sleep with the sound of the ocean right outside the door was heavenly. Our two teenaged daughters loved having their own bedroom suite to themselves and were beyond comfortable in their accommodations. Veronica provided superb daily housekeeping service and she even cooked dinner for us one night, which was beyond wonderful. Luis checked in on us at the beginning of our stay, as we were having trouble figuring out the television. The staff were all very kind and responsive. The recommendations from Pawel for our car rental (necessary, as town is about a 10 minute drive), grocery service (great to have condo stocked with food and drinks upon our late arrival), and scuba diving/snorkeling excursions were wonderful. We did two snorkeling/diving excursions in Cozumel and also went over to Riviera Maya for a day-long tour of the ruins at Tulum, zip lining, snorkeling in Dos Ojos cenote and the lagoons at Yal-Ku with Your Private Tour, which was BEYOND amazing and worth every penny. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cozumel and Patsy's beautiful condo was a perfect base camp for our adventure!"

  • Our home away from home!

"We love staying at Donna's place. We tried it out several years ago and keep coming back. It offers great value for money, especially when you take into account that you can use all the facilities of the Reef Hotel across the road. If you want to do your own cooking, there is always some basic cooking ingredients in the apartment as well as washing powder, cleaning products, toilet paper, kitchen towels, etc. So it feels like you're at home. You also don't need to bring towels, books, board games, pool toys, shopping bags, snorkel masks, etc. This apartment may not be fancy enough for high maintenance guests who expect 5-star, resort style accommodation, but if you want to stay in a very comfortable and homely place that offers great value for money, then look no further! You'll love it here!"

  • Beautiful, spacious - just a tad loud

"I've stayed in this condo twice, and I've stayed in another one at Ixchel. I love this place. The layout is different than most units there, and I prefer it. It feels more spacious and open. The current owners have updated the art, furniture, and ceiling fans. It's really luxurious. The beds are so comfortable tht I always look forward to the good nights' sleep here. Other units sell their panoramic view, but this views is very lovely, too. The condo is priced a little less than other units because of it, and that makes it a great value. Also, because this condo is at the top of the stairs from the lobby, you never have to wait on the elevator or make much of a schlep from the beach back to the room. My only complaints are that wi-fi kicks you off quite often (I must have logged in 20 times a day, no joke) and the building is quite noisy. Thumps and bangs echo throughout it. I heard them late at night and early in the morning. I'm pretty sensitive to noise, and it didn't bother me too much, but if the place is full (and the unit above you occupied), you'll know. It's hard to find a place this nice on North Beach, trust me!"

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
