  • Can't recommend this place enough

"Such a great location! Playa del Carmen is a city, but this condo is on a quiet leafy road - really nice cafes for breakfast, and cute little bars around the corner. Literally on the beach, which was a bit quieter and nicer then 50 metres down more into town... Loved our own open garden... Very spacious, would love to return again. Thank you for making our holiday so much more enjoyable :) P.S we were here for BPM festival, Mamitas club and a few others are literally around the corner but not too noisy..."

  • A fabulous week in Playa del Carmen

"Beautiful condo set in an area of the complex that is close to the beach and the pools. Amazing views. The complex was very quiet and relaxing. The staff was attentive and helpful. Although you will probably need a car, it is close to the downtown action for a change of pace. Our condo had four bedrooms and six bathrooms. Very spacious and open layout. Plenty of room for our group of nine to just hang out and not get in anyone’s way. The presence of some staff/security around the complex made us feel safe all the time."

  • Pure Paradise!

"This a fabulous condo! The condo is clean and well maintained. The location is far enough from town so you feel like you are in your own private paradise, but close enough to town that you can easily walk to shopping and restaurants. We have rented 8 of the available units at this condo complex during previous visits and this our favorite! The jacuzzi in the master bedroom is a great feature and we love the 2nd floor condo location. It's super easy to get luggage in and out of the unit and the balcony is offers the perfect view of the cruise ships passing by. The condo owner is trustworthy and easy to work with, the key was available when we got there and we didn't have any issues with the condo. We will absolutely rent again!"

  • A truly great rental property in Cozumel!

"Ok folks, I rarely rate any property this high but this is definitely a 5-star property in Cozumel. The property, owner, and staff have to be exceptional and this property meets this standard and actually exceeds it! The owner is a pleasure to work with and the property is everything that you see in the pictures. No photo editing here! Everything you need is provided and the property itself is spic and span. It is really close to the Chedraui and Mega (local grocery stores) as well as the very good restaurants in town. I would recommend El Moro and La Choza for Mexican food and La Cucina Italiano for very good Italian. You don't need a car unless you want to go snorkeling or you can take one of the 600 taxis on the island. Victor is very accommodating with a lot of good ideas to make your stay enjoyable. Would I recommend this property to any of my friends? Of course I would and I would tell them if they didn't stay here then they would have to be a complete fool to stay elsewhere! My last word of advice is this. Don't even plan on shopping when the cruise ships are in because all the prices in the tourist areas go way up. So now enjoy your stay at Casa Carlita!"

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
