  • Beautiful, Amazing Place

"The penthouse at Punta Roca Al Cielo is simply amazing. It is beautiful inside and out. Upon arrival the house was set up perfectly and extremely clean. The concierge was extremely helpful and responsive to all our needs. This was our third time staying in this condo and we plan to return year after year. We love everything about Puerto Aventuras and our stay at Punta Roca. The condo is great for someone with slight disabilities. The elevator seems to always be in working order. Several of the bathrooms have walk-in showers."

  • Luna Encantada G3

"Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Was great. Beach is a bit narrow and can get crowded but the unit is comfortable, well appointed, and the location is great for Quinta and other destinations."

  • Great Condo, great location

"When we first arrived we were thrilled with the amenities and the security, the views were breathtaking and the condo was very well kept, and the kitchen had all that we needed to make easy meals. If we were to go again, this is what I would bring: my own pillow ( just like down better), ask for extra blankets, and make sure the washer/dryer was fixed :) Also, if you are expecting a beach property, its not that type of area. Cozumel's main drag with all the stores and restaurants are on this side of the island, the other side with the beaches doesn't have hotels or condos. So enjoy the pool and the diving, and this condo. Lastly, there weren't a ton of kids, like a hotel so if you think you are going to have playmates for yours, choose a hotel instead."

  • Outstanding week!

"My wife and I have been vacationing in Playa at least once a year for eight years now. We started with AIs, moved on to boutique hotels and had been very happy at Playa Maya (down the beach from El Faro) for four years now. They are, however being renovated so we couldn't get in there this year - what a blessing in disguise. We found a few condos here on VRBO and all three of the couples in the group ranked Lorelie's as our #1 choice. After a couple helpful emails we booked it and couldn't wait for our trip. After a quick tour of the condo by the mgmt company we were officially on vacation! The condo was cleaned daily, linens changed once during the week, kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need. The condo itself is spacious, well decorated and beautiful. We spent a lot of time at night on the patio listening to the ocean and unfortunately the rain. It did rain every day we were there thanks to a slow moving tropical depression which would have made the trip much worse had we not been in the condo. I was off diving every day so the rain didn't bother me as much but for the non divers it was great to have the big living room area and patio to hang out between showers. The pool and beach were great, as were the massages next to the pool! Wickie's is unfortunately gone but with all the great places to eat near there, Zenzi right across 10th and the coolers in the room we never were wanting for pool/beach refreshment. (Take advantage of the 10% Zenzi discount cards from the front desk). We couldn't have asked for anything more and look forward to this being the new spot we stay on our annual trips!"

Yucatan, Mayan Riviera Travel Tips

Mayan Resorts Along the Yucatan Peninsula

On your next trip to the Yucatan Peninsula, consider traveling to Mayan resorts. The Mayan Riviera in Mexico is one of the more fascinating destination spots in the world. You have tropical beaches, ancient ruins, and a myriad of marine and wildlife, all steps away from Yucatan vacation rentals. The Mayan Riviera is more than one city; in fact, it is about 11 cities. Popular destinations for Yucatan villas include but are not limited to Playa del Carmen, Playacar, Akumal, Tulum, Puerto Aventuras, Puerto Morelos, and Xpu-Ha.

Forested Scenery near Yucatan Vacation Rentals

As you drive along route 307 to reach Yucatan vacation rentals, you will discover the land is flat and the scenery is akin to a flat forested region much like Canada or Europe. Interspersed along the highway are boulder-laden cliffs that will lead you down to clean, white sandy beaches. Once you arrive at Yucatan villas, you are able to sit on a private beach all day watching the waves roll in or playing in the surf. Playa del Carmen is the most popular Mayan Riviera destination where plenty of Mayan resorts await.

Yucatan Villas by Fifth Avenue

If you elect to stay in Playa del Carmen rather than other Mayan Riviera destinations, you can walk down Fifth Avenue on the local strip and pet wild lions, play with boa constrictors, or watch Maruichi bands. Many of the Yucatan villas are situated on the strip to provide you the most active nightlife and access to the beautiful beach. Cruises dock close to the strip, filling up the town with new faces each Tuesday and Thursday. Because so many cruise ships dock there, you'll find many jewelry stores, arts and crafts stores, and other retail shops that offer wonderful deals.

Mayan Resorts Provide Whale Shark Sightings

Water sports are the most attractive attractions in the Mayan Riviera. From Mayan resorts, you can head out to sea on a deep sea fishing tour or scuba dive boat. If you truly want a diving experience you will never forget, make sure the dive boat is heading to the known locations where the whale sharks hang out. Whale sharks can be very elusive creatures but dive boats in the Mayan Riviera have managed to find areas where they tend to hang out. At the end of your day with water sports, it may be time to head back to your Yucatan vacation rentals for a home-cooked Mexican meal.
