Experience the Mists by Niagara Falls Vacation Rentals

The Niagara Falls are the second largest falls in the world after the Victoria Falls in Southern Africa. This impressive natural water phenomenon is found on the Niagara River which forms the border between Canada and the United States. The Rainbow Bridge links the two countries and is the major gateway of the region. More than 12 million tourists are estimated to visit the Niagara Falls each year. A wealth of attractions have been built up in the area, making it a popular destination to visit with family and friends.

Niagara Falls is a great place to visit with the family. Not only are there exciting boat rides and walks to do at the falls but there are also several fantastic amusement parks and entertainment centers nearby. The Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is a gigantic water amusement park providing fun for the whole family. There are 16 exciting waterslides, a massive wave pool, an outdoor deck and more than three acres of water fun. The fact that it is an indoor center means that it can be enjoyed even when the winter temperatures are freezing.

Clifton Hill is a place where facts, fantasy and fiction get interwoven in a magical world. Visit the famous Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, The Magical Houdini Hall of Fame, The Guinness World of Records, Lord Tussauds Waxworks and the Movieland Wax Museum. See models of famous actors and international personalities and have your picture taken next to them. Then there is also the Haunted House, Castle Dracula, and the House of Frankenstein for those who enjoy spooky entertainment. Dazzleland has loads of games and family fun entertainment. If you fancy a family miniature golf tournament then go along to Dinosaur Park and pitch and putt between giant replicas of these ancient creatures.

Marineland has a spectacular Orca show. During your visit, you can also enjoy thrilling amusement park rides and get up close to wild animals such as deer and elk.

For an aerial view of the falls, treat yourself to helicopter ride over the falls. Feel the spray hundreds of meters up in the air as you hover above the spectacular scenery. An alternate way to view the falls is to go on a boat cruise at the base of the falls or take a thrilling jet boat ride.

If you want to explore the area on foot, the Niagara Gorge Trail Center has routes that take you through the various state parks that run alongside the Niagara River and Falls. Guided walks can be booked in the summertime and you need only a moderate level of fitness in order to enjoy the outing.
