  • Our stay in Buenos Aires

"We had a great time in Buenos Aires and the apartment was part of the experience. It started with our arrival...Analia met us at the apartment and had already turned on the a/c so the apartment was nice and cool. The apartment is clean and very spacious, lots of room to sit and relax on the sofa and enjoy coffee in the morning. The WIFI worked great. The bed is really comfortable and it's a king, which was really nice. The location is superb...right in Las Canitas, felt very safe, close to Baez and other streets with great dining choices, also close to the train station and metro and small markets to buy items for eating in. The only recommendation I would make is to pay for the reservation in full before arrival. With the exchange rate as crazy as it is, it's too complicated switching from dollars to pesos as the exchange rates vary from official to unofficial and in our case, was not advantageous. Thanks Analia for the nice stay! It was great meeting you!"

  • Stylish art home in vibrant Buenos Aires Palermo

"We (two couples) stayed at Casa Palermo for 5 nights. So happy with the location, the home in general and the owner. They were amazing prior arrival with so many helpful hints and " walked us thru everything" ( survival guide) The information we received before and the transportation was helpful. Well maintained apartment in we enjoyed the patio in the morning and the stars from the rooftop at night. Clean, great value and we felt very secure. The Italian bacery closed by offered the best pastries. Always would recommend to stay at Casa Palermo when traveling to BA!!"

  • Looking forward to a return visit

"Renting this family-style suite was my first venture on VRBO and so there was some anxiety about the whole process --- especially my assessment of the suite based on the info posted on VRBO. The first very good impressions carried through the whole process and stay. The owner was as congenial as one could expect and promptly replied to emails and phone calls to make the original arrangements. The owner`s agent was professional, cordial and as helpful as you could wish for. And then the suite. This is not a suite that is set up just for rental. This is a real home! The photos are real -- everything was as displayed on VRBO. (The books are everywhere and a very eclectic collection and many are in English.) The kitchen is a full kitchen --- lots of appliances, utensils, dishes etc --- a small eating table was in the kitchen, separate from the dining room with its table. I`m sure everything worked but I only snacked at home as there were too many reasonable restaurants nearby. The stove, fridge, microwave and coffee maker all worked! I did not use the laundry has I had my personal laundry done. The apartment was clean and very well maintained and the maid service was extremely efficient. The wifi worked very well. (We were shown how to use the tv, and dvd player but never found occasion to use them.) The daytime rooms are very spacious with lots of light. And the dining room had room for a yoga mat and for some tango practice too , (with the table pushed to the corner) The bedrooms were well setup and the inside bedroom in particular was very quiet and comfortable. The front (small) bedroom had lots of closet and storage, however, I did find it a bit noisy at night. Very different from my usual home neighbourhood which is extremely quiet. For others more used to city noise, I`m sure it would be fine. The location served me very well --- close to restaurants, as I said, and lots of everyday shops & services -- for groceries, laundry, and close to transit; subway and buses! and taxis always close at hand as well. The building is very well run, quiet and secure and neighbourly. My stay was 4 weeks and I was soon recognized by the building manager as I came and went. Everything about this home makes me want to return, soon."

  • Who Could Ask For Anything More?!

"My wife and I (both 60) chose this wonderful apartment for our first 3 week long visit to BA. It could not have been a more perfect choice. A recent review by fellow Canadians who stayed 2 months accurately summarizes everything we, too, experienced. First of all, the apartment is in an exceptional location, convenient to all the tourist attractions, most of which are easily reachable by the Subte (an easy 5 blocks away), or the always plentiful taxis in this quiet leafy neighbourhood, which is a small pocket of tranquillity in an otherwise frenetic city. Alternatively, walking near or far is a pleasant experience in an area of BA that never feels unsafe. There is a great bakery for morning pastries or lunchtime snacks directly across the street, and a huge grocery store three easy blocks away. Secondly, for anyone sceptical of on-line images of rental properties, the photos of the apartment are exactly what you get. In fact, the apartment feels more spacious in person than in the pictures. Large clean frig, good gas stove (though the oven is tricky to light), double sink, and a virtually new combination microwave/convection oven. Plus the benefit of a washing machine, which saves time and offers convenience while enjoying a nice glass of Malbec on the spacious terrace nestled in the treetops overlooking the street. Air conditioners (2) work perfectly, though on cooler days, they don't need to operate as a cross draft is possible by opening windows in the kitchen and the bathroom. The queen size bed is very comfortable, and the place is very clean (thank you Vilma). The kitchen is adequately supplied, though serious cooks may wish for a few more items. But in terms of value for money, we suggest it couldn't get any better. And then there is 'amazing' Juan, the best asset of the apartment: ever cheerful, ever-helpful, always just a quick email away. So engaging, friendly, and helpful. He met us upon arrival and friendship was instant, and checked in on us regularly via email to make sure everything was ok. No problems with anything and there is no question that our memories of our excellent vacation have been made more special because of our chosen accommodation."
