  • Magnificent!!!!

"My wife and I are nearing the end of a 2 1/2 month stay in this fabulous apartment. This was our third summer stay in BA, and was by far the best. The location is great; never a problem getting a cab. Several bus stops right outside the front door, although we didn't use the buses because cabs are so cheap. The apartment itself is large, very comfortable, and beautifully furnished and equipt; dozens of books on architecture and art. Plenty of hot water. Only 5 apartments in the building; in 2+ months only saw two people in the lobby. Only negative is the noise in both bedrooms; the buses stop just feet from the bedroom windows and the sound of their brakes penetrates the double glazed windows and the silent motorized shutters. A white noise machine handles the traffic noise, but not the buses braking. We tend to be heavy sleepers, so the noise wasn't a major problem. Marcella is super; we had no serious problems during our visit, but she was most responsive in giving us advice and resolving a couple of minor issues. The official conversion rate is currently 8.4 pesos to the dollar, but the "blue" rate is 15.1 peso to the dollar, so we recommend that you carry high denomination dollar bills. Brits and Europeans might well consider carrying US Dollars to convert at the blue rate; The current official rate for euros is 11 pesos; sterling is 13.7 (NO BLUE RATE>>!). We highly recommend this beautiful apartment and we hope to return next summer."

  • Magnificent Stay in Recoleta!

"The ideal hosts are Claudio & his wife Alejandra! Upon arrival at the 2nd floor apt orientation, there was a cold 2l bottle of water, cookies & flowers. Everything needed for a stay was there, including 2 TV's, large refrigerator, cell phone(you buy minutes), landline, comfortable bed & a washer with a dryer function that we used after each cloth washing. We only used the elevator for luggage on the 1st/last day, as the stairs were good exercise for all the great Argentine food we consumed. A good cafe, Arenales Resto, is just 30 feet away at the corner for morning coffee/medialunas(pastry). It was a warm Spring, so the ac was used often and worked great. There's plenty of room for luggage/clothing storage and good modern lighting, plus a large window for daylight. We would eat out 1 day & the next day cook using the range, microwave & toaster oven with all the cookware available. Communication was always professional/prompt with our hosts. We will return!"

  • Wonderful Apartment

"Location may be everything, but comfort is equally important. We loved both. We were four adults and one child, and this apartment easily accommodated our needs...and then some. And we spent one month in the apartment. The beds and bedding are top notch. The bathrooms are stylish and functional. The entire home is uncluttered and tastefully decorated--including five paintings by Palermo Hollywood artist, Milo Lockett-- having been completely renovated and restored recently. The kitchen is modern, with everything you need to cook a meal. Though the apartment within a quick walk of really great restaurants (we ate Cumana and Parilla Peña 4 times each during the month), bars (for example, there are 4 English-speaking bars within a block or 3: Casa Bar, El Alamo, Temple bar, and Shamrock), cafés (Havanna on the corner Starbucks down the lane) and bakeries (medialunas are everywhere). There are also large grocery stores (Disco and Carrefour) within a short walk, while smaller grocers are just about every block. Shopping. Av Santa Fe is loaded with shops to fit any budget and is one block from the apartment. And just a few blocks north on Rodriguez Peña or Callao and you'll stumble onto the more posh shops. The Ricoleta cemetery is near loads of these shops. transportation. Taxis are easy to catch on the corner across from Havanna. Collectivos down on Santa Fe, and the Subte is an easy walk down Callao (green and red lines). Short taxi ride will get you to Palermo, San Telmo, or Boca. Safety. This is a very safe neighborhood, and really there wasn't a moment we didn't feel completely secure. Eliana and Patrick were great help during check in/out and on the few occasions when we has questions. We loved Buenos Aires and the apartment made seeing and experiencing all of it all the more rewarding. Thank you!"

  • One of the best rentals we have ever had, anytime, anywhere in the world

"We have been renting apartments or houses for well over 10 years in the US, Europe and Latin-America and this is clearly among the very best. Fabulous location, great use of space, very nicely decorated, plenty of light and very well equipped. Last but not least, very friendly, knowledgable and responsive owner. Great value. Fabulosa ubicación, gran uso del espacio, preciosa decoración, mucha luz, muy bien equipado. Además, la propietaria es muy amigable, conocedora y accesible. El precio es muy razonable dada la calidad."
