  • A month in Buenos Aires

"My wife and I stayed in Thom's apartment for one month recently. We fully endorse the very positive comments of earlier reviewers. The location of the apartment in Palermo is excellent. For those who like to party everything is at your doorstep. For those who seek a more relaxed and truly Buenos Aires experience [ tango, football, fine dining and a multitude of cultural activities] the apartment is an excellent home base. We tried to share as many local experiences as possible- shopping for food, travelling on public transport [with the occasional taxi], long walks around town, shopping for leather jackets and local jewelry and a host of other activities. After a busy and tiring day , we really enjoyed coming "home" to Thom's apartment to refresh , rest and prepare for the next day. The apartment has all the elements you need to live comfortably in Buenos Aires. Earlier reviewers confirm the many assets of living in Thom's apartment. Should you decide to stay in Thom's apartment , you will be able to enjoy the invaluable assistance of Guille who is the manager of the apartment. Booking airport transportation, changing funds, valuable tips about navigating the resources of the city are just a few of the many benefits that she provides to renters. She is the fifth star in my rating of the apartment. Another major feature of the apartment is the spacious and quiet patio. We lived through one of the hottest March heat waves in memory and managed to cope very well due to the patio and the air conditioning of the apartment. I have told Thom that 2 of the patio chairs need rewebbing to meet the needs of 4 persons. He has placed this on his maintenance list. Summing up, I would return to Thom's apartment and recommend it to my friends. Buenos Aires presents many challenges and rewards and comfortable well located accommodation is a must for a successful visit. Thom's apartment and Guille's assistance are a recipe for a memorable holiday."

  • Peaceful spot in the perfect BA neighborhood

"My husband stayed here for five nights at the end of our Argentina trip. It is the perfect neighborhood to use as a home base to explore the city. There are lots of nice cafes and restaurants just a few steps away, and it is easy to get around the city from there, by bus or taxi. (We loved eating lunch at The Tea Collection, and getting ice cream cones at Volta!) The apartment faces a quiet courtyard, and combines the convenience of being situated on a major avenue with the pleasure of being able to relax on the little balcony over a garden at the end of the day with a drink. The apartment is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped for cooking (although we didn't cook.) The bathroom is a bit small but adequate. We felt secure in the neighborhood and in the apartment. Most importantly, the apartment managers, Raul and Cecilia Franzini, are exceptionally helpful and responsive (in excellent English) to all questions and requests, always answering texts, emails or phone messages within a few minutes. Raul even came on a Sunday and spent an hour fixing some non-functioning lights and repairing the shower head for us. That level of responsiveness and care means a lot, especially when you are 5,000 miles from home and don't speak the language! Definitely recommended."

  • Canadian Snowbirds

"My hubby & I escaped our Canadian winter and spent 2 months in this lovely apartment! This apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures, lovely and modern. It is a couple of blocks from Parque 03 Febureo/Rose Gardens/Japanese Gardens, within walking distance of Baez St, Museo Evita, Recoleta Cemetery, numerous restaurants, subway and grocery stores. Best of all this apartment has probably one of the best landlords ever. Juan was amazing....he will help you organize just about anything you want to do or see! Juan gives new meaning to the word "accommodating". His mother Silvia is an absolute sweetheart as well. We had lovely conversations with her...she spoke Spanish and we spoke English and we understood each other!! LOL. Thank you Juan and Silvia!"
