  • Better than advertised

"My husband and I just spent 10 days in this apartment and found it to be even better equipped than we imagined. Marcella, the manager, provided fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, coffee, milk and butter to kickstart our stay, and we bought bread from the French bakery located across the street. The air conditioners kept us comfortable during the hot weather, and the spaciousness of the rooms and the terraces made for a relaxed stay. We brought back a case of wine from Terroir, the friendly wine shop a block away recommended by the owner. Very helpful was a lead on a place to change dollars, a place we visited too often! Though the apartment is not in the middle of the tourist district, few cab rides rarely cost more than 500 pesos (around $4.00 at the current exchange rate), and we rode the subways everywhere with ease. Important to us was the peacefulness of the tree-lined neighborhood. I would highly recommend this apartment!"

  • A great apartment in Buenos Aires

"We loved the location, which is in walking distance of interesting neighborhoods, restaurants, and tango halls or milongas. The apartment is airy and roomy, and provided a great respite when needed from the Buenos Aires business and heat. The roof garden is wonderful. We prepared food several times and found the kitchen was adequate. The owners and managers were responsive and helpful, providing support and excellent information about the neighborhood. It's also well-located to use public transportation - about a 15 minute walk from the SUBTE underground, which is certainly the fastest way to get about the city. I would definitely recommend this apartment!"

  • Very convenient app. in Palermo

"We stayed for a week in Buenos Aires with our 3 kids and our 6 months old baby. The place is of a decent size to even fit a big family. The balcony has netted protection for the children, which is not unimportant to mention. The TV is a little outdated, but overall the appartment is in relatively good shape. It is centrally located in Palermo, with walking distance to shopping and restaurants. On the downside, if you come with your car, you will have to make arrangements for a parking place before hand. Having said that, I parked on the streets and the neighborhood is very safe, so also no issues there. The owner is very helpful and accomodating. So in short, it´s very convenient appartment, centrally located, in a very safe neighborhood and overall very good quality for money."

Buenos Aires Travel Tips

Buenos Aires Vacation Rentals Make Hotels Secondary

If Buenos Aires, Argentina in South America is not on your list of top vacation destinations, it should be. Buenos Aires is a magnificent city filled with a mixture of cultures and modernity that will amaze you. Hotels are not required when you visit the capital city because you have every ounce of luxury you could desire in Buenos Aires vacation rentals at reasonable prices. Buenos Aires is not a budget destination, as flights can be anywhere from $700 to over $2,000, depending on the time of year you visit. However, the Buenos Aires villas can be on your budget. With private rentals by owner through VRBO, Buenos Aires apartments and homes can be found for as little as $65 per night. You also have more luxurious accommodations for $300 to $600 per night. Yet, they are all reasonable if you have a large party.

Buenos Aires Villas in the City

All of the Buenos Aires villas will be located in the Recoleta area which is the historic district of the city. Numerous Buenos Aires apartment buildings, hotels, and places to visit will be within walking distance or a subway trip. You are also located near the Atlantic Ocean, allowing for watersports and days at the beach. Buenos Aires's climate is opposite that of North America’s in terms of seasons, so December through March is really the height of summer. When you walk along the streets such as Florida Avenue or sit in one of the many outdoor cafés, dancers will be in the streets and on sidewalks offering you a look at the tango. Anyone is encouraged to give the tango a try and it is almost an insult not to partake in this dance of romance.

Buenos Aires Apartments for Adventure in the Capital of Amor

Depending on the Buenos Aires apartments you rent, you might be a slight walk from the subway. The subway will take you anywhere you want to go in the city, including such sites as the Famous Recoleta Cemetery with its amazing tombs and headstones. Another ride will bring you to the Alto Palermo shopping mall or Vicente Lopez Park for a romantic walk along the green space with ancient trees dotting the land. The French influence of Buenos Aires presents a plethora of French-style buildings including the Alvear Palace Hotel which is decorated in the turn of the century French style. You do not have to stay at the hotel to admire its magnificent architecture. Museums and cathedrals of Buenos Aires should be on your list, such as the Latinoamerican Art Museum or Historical Museum Sarmiento. After a morning indoors, consider a walk through the Japanese Garden. Scuba divers will need to take a trip out to the Faena Hotel District as it sits on a little island leading to the ecological reserve which is underwater. The park spreads from the tip of the island down to the bottom where it curves out into the Atlantic. Dolphins, tropical fish, and more can be spotted during a snorkel or dive here.

The Perfect Retreat Near French Bistros in San Telmo

Buenos Aires is a large city with little sections assigned their own names like San Telmo. The Recoleta is perhaps the most popular district but San Telmo is a close second with its French flair. In this part of the city, you have sidewalk cafes, gelato shops around the corner from some of the Buenos Aires vacation rentals, and a French Bistro within walking distance. Every night you can walk to your chosen restaurant or shop at the fresh food markets during the day for your evening meal. A number of the rentals present outdoor barbecue pits for freshly grilled fish or steak. If you stay in a penthouse dome, you can sit out on the terrace overlooking the city for a magnificent sunset before settling at a café for espresso and a show. The cuisine will run the gamut from Spanish to North American specialties.
