  • Location + fantastic host = great BA experience!!

"This place is gorgeous!!! The pictures do not do it justice! Plus it's in the middle of everything, super safe neighborhood (even walking as a female alone late at night I felt totally safe), has all of the amenities you could want within a block- truly awesome place! And I haven't even gotten to the part about how wonderful both the home owner (Linda) and the local BA hosts (Llewelyn and Carlitos) are!! Before our arrival they went out of their way to help us plan our trip and answer all of our questions about BA. Llewelyn even trekked across town to a restaurant to help us make reservations for a large party!! I really could not say enough nice things about all of them and the home. Really- book this place, you will absolutely not regret it!!!!!"

  • Better Than Described

"We chose this apartment because of the 50-plus positive reviews. We totally agree with the reviews. In fact, the apartment is better than described. First, the property owner is exceptionally pleasant and dedicated to making your stay as memorable as possible. He'll start by sending you a packet filled with information about the city and includes a much-needed city bus map. We highly recommend sitting down and figuring out the bus system. Don't waste your time trying to ask a tourism agency about the buses; just read the owner's materials. Second, the neighborhood is safe. Like all cities, BA has crime, but the apartment is located far enough away from the touristy areas where some sketchy characters hang out that you get a chance to live like a local without worry. There are small markets all around the apartment, a large grocery store called El Coto just 4 blocks east, and bakeries and shops for anything you need. Third, if you want to cook, which we did, the apartment has everything you'll need. Restaurants in BA, especially in touristy areas like Puerto Madero and Recoletta, aren't cheap. We sought out local flavors in restaurants a few blocks behind the apartment. Too many to name, but the farther you walk away from the cemetery the more authentic shops seem to become. Fourth, the apartment is ideally located if you arrive at the small airport (AEP). It's a short 15-minute bus trip. The big airport is a tortuous ride or expensive taxi. The owner knows the airports and airlines very, very well. Heed his advice and try to fly into AEP. Also, since you're so close to AEP, we strongly encourage people to see Iguazu Falls. It's a 90-minute flight and well worth it. Don't waste your money on a guided tour. Just walk the trails. Finally, and we can't say this enough, the owner is exceptionally accessible, both before and during your stay. If you have a question, you can e-mail, call, or text him and expect an immediate response. He truly cares about your experience."
