"Our group had a great stay at this amazing penthouse. The pictures are totally authentic and representative of how great this place actually is. The inside living areas were extremely nice and clean. There are two great outdoor spaces with tremendous views and well kept plants.
The air conditioning worked well and the beds were comfortable.
The location is conducive to walking to bars, restaurants and Copacabana beach.
The kitchen is modern and totally useful if you plan to cook. The apartment is one block away from a full service grocery store.
Overall, the penthouse is a great value. We stayed at the Rio JW Marriott one night for the same price and the penthouse proved to be significantly nicer and a better value.
Yates and the team were very easy to coordinate with. I'd love to stay here again next time I'm in Rio.
Tip: As other reviewers mentioned, there is only street parking available."

"Over the past seven years, I have stayed at six different apartments in zona sul in Rio. This is by far the best decorated and most comfortable one I have rented. Unlike many apartments in Rio, this unit's full size bed sports a box spring, a comfortable mattress and a pillow top mattress cover as well as adequate air conditioning for both the bedroom and the living room\dining areas. It is also located in a nice neighborhood about two blocks from the beach and close to ATM, shopping and restaurants. What's more, a new Metro stop is expected to open next year. As with any property, however, there are a couple of caveats: (1) This place can really only house couples, although I suppose a child or teenager could sleep on the couch (2) The unit has an electrically headed shower head that never produced anything more than tepid water temperatures during my stay (3) there doesn't appear to be a building elevator that serves the third floor unit, you'll have to carry your luggage up 3 flights of stairs and (4) light sleepers my find the bedroom window too poorly insulated to sleep well. There is a 20mm gap between the sliding glass window panes which lets in lots of street noise particularly on Sunday night/Monday morning when vendors setup for an open air food market as well as during periods of heavy Metro construction. There is also the possibility that heavy rains could blow through the window gaps and dampen any bedroom items located on the floor near the window. But I highly recommend this spot. The pictures don't lie. It is a real gem."
