"I spent three nights in this condo. It is a great place to stay for business or pleasure in Santiago.
Location: One of the best things about this apartment is the location. There is a metro station right in front of the building. You have a wide variety of stores and restaurants within a block or two of the apartment. By taking the metro for a couple of stops, shoppers will find a top-notch shopping mall. I can't remember the name, but it was probably the biggest mall I have ever visited.
Booking: Booking was very easy. Mauricio promptly answered all questions and the booking was completed very quickly. I will also add that Mauricio was very patient in dealing with my many questions throughout booking and my visit. He promptly addressed my concerns when I was at the apartment.
Condo: The condo is clean, modern, and unique. I doubt that you will find better views of the city than you will find at this condo. The heating works well upstairs. I never tried the heat on the first level. There was plenty of seating available in the living area. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bed was fine. The bathroom is clean. There were a couple of annoying things about the bathroom: I found the sink very difficult to use. Unless you have tiny hands, it is difficult to wash your hands. There is no shower curtain. Instead there is a glass shield. Unfortunately it does not fully cover the area and it is impossible to keep water from getting out onto the floor. These little issues were only minor annoyances. Another great thing about the condo is that there is ample closet space in the bedroom.
Wifi: There is a fast, reliable wifi connection.
Cons: The neighborhood is noisy all night long (the building is not). I am a light sleeper and I still slept just fine. It got a little irritating having to take the stairs to go between the living area and the bedroom/bathroom. The flipside of this is that the views from the top level are awesome.
Bottom line: I loved this place. If you want a modern and clean apartment with a tremendous location, this is the place for you!"

Breathtaking views-Beautiful Architecture-Great for nature photography
"Majestic. Artistic. Beautiful. Relaxing. Wildlife sanctuary. These are some of the words that come to mind after spending a week at Gracias a la Vida. I will review the (1) grounds,
(2) the house, (3) and conclude with four helpful recommendations.
-GROUNDS: The house is in a large property with beautiful gardens and hills, placed strategically to provide breathtaking views of the Villarica Volcano and the Lake. The gardens have been carefully designed with colorful flowers that attract bees, hummingbirds, and a variety of beautiful birds. Our kids loved playing with the cats. You will see Hindu and Buddhist statues that add an Asian flavor to the gardens. The caretaker’s house and the other rental cabin are far enough as not to affect privacy or the view. It is very peaceful and pleasant to the eye, and also a dream location for nature photographers!
-HOUSE: The house was carefully and beautifully designed with open spaces, large windows, and glass doors. When we woke up the first morning and saw the lake and volcano views, we could not avoid saying repeatedly “wow, how beautiful!” We loved waking up in the morning with a full view of the lake and wildlife. We loved taking showers while seeing the volcano as if it was perfectly placed centered in the window for our enjoyment. We also loved using the washer and dryer to do laundry while still having a nice view of the volcano. The wall colors and the art displayed in each room created an atmosphere that celebrated beauty. We even enjoyed small details like the handles of the glass doors and windows, the beautiful copper sinks, the double shower heads, and the wooden ceiling. The spacious deck on the flat roof provided amazing views, so we could have dinner while enjoying the sunset or relax in the Jacuzzi while enjoying the night sky. The house is in itself a piece of art. Indeed, an unforgettable experience!
-RECOMMENDATIONS: (1) If you plan to do face time, skype calls, synchronize files through dropbox, or watch Netflix, plan to double or triple the internet package. The internet access is not unlimited; rather, you have to buy a package that allows you to only use the amount of data you paid for. (2) Take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper like me. Windy nights can wake you up. (3) Bring extra toilet paper if staying for several days. The rental only includes initial supply. (4) Spend some days just enjoying Gracias a la Vida without having to go out. You’ll love it."

"After three very busy days in Buenos Aires, Gloria & Hector picked us up at the airport for a much needed country time retreat! From the moment we met them we could sense their thoughtfullness and generosity. Our first day consisted of a wine tour of Casablanca Valley, a tasty picnic lunch and ended with a delicous dinner in their wonderful home (make sure to try their incredible salsa!!). The next day the fun continued and they took us on a tour of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar and made sure to give us the true local experience, which ended over amazing empanadas!
Gloria & Hector are incredible people and open their home to people willing to experience it! Our stay with them will be an experience we will never forget! They are great for people of all ages (we are in our older 20's) and we hope to keep in touch with them!
Don't hesitate booking with them. You will not regret it!!"

Exceptional Property - the place to stay when skiing all three- La Parva, El Colorado and Valle Neva
"This was our third year skiing in Chile. The first at Valle Nevado, the next at Portillo (also exceptional), and this year staying in Farellones. Farellones provides the most options in terms of skiing and restaurants. And the Casa Farellones house is exceptional. Everything was clean and tidy. Great hot tub with an exceptional view looking down valley. Each evening we walked to dinner, so we could have a few drinks.
